Hi; So I’ve changed the slug to “kundeservice” as outlined in your options, however -categories is then added to “kundeservice” e.g.:
http://woocommerce-4013-9163-42465.cloudwaysapps.com/kundeservice-category/faktura-og-vilkaarHow to change this?
It works splendid in posts like here: http://woocommerce-4013-9163-42465.cloudwaysapps.com/kundeservice/hvordan-er-min-daekning/
Hi mariatrier,
Thanks for you’re question.
It’s WordPress custom post type default system that they put ‘custom post type’ slug value before the ‘category/tag’ text. Reason is to avoid URL similarities.
Hope you got my point
Let me know, If you need more help.
Cheers!

Hi Mahbub,
I purchased the plugin and the Add-on “Templify KB”. It looks and feels nice but I faced some problems and I would be thankful if you could help me solving these:
1) In the backend – overview table of all KB items: The content text is shown in the small column “KB title” under the title of the KB item. So that means a lot of scrolling. Is there a way to only show the title of the KB item in the overview table?
2) New KB items are not related to the user who has created the item but to the user whose email address is noted in general WordPress settings. Is it possible to relate a new KB item automatically to the user who has created the item? Is it possible to show revisions of a item like for WordPress blog posts (in the backend)?
3) On top of a page the headline is displayed like that:
‘Knowledge Base Category: A – Z’
I’d like to show only the category name (in this example: ‘A – Z’). Even better would be if I can:
a) display the Knowledge Base homepage title (customized in Option panel—> Template Settings)
OR
be) add custom text before the category name (like it is possible for the page title in Option Panel—> Advanced).
4) Regarding the Add-On “Templify KB”: I have a theme with two sidebars (on on the left, one on the right). How can I:
a) keep the right sidebar (should stay the same for all pages) and replace the left sidebar with BKBM Custom Sidebar?
OR
b) keep the right sidebar and the left sidebar from my theme and doesn’t use the BKBM sidebar at all? So i could place BKBM widgets in my theme’s sidebars and manage display settings with a widget manager?
I tried version b) by deactivating the Add-On “Templify KB” but then I had these problems:
- Category page: KB items are listed like blog post items. So the Knowledge base specific info (for example the KB category) is not displayed. Also, the breadcrumb for the Knowledge Base is not displayed. There is only the (uncomplete) breadcrumb from my theme that only says “HOME”.
- Single KB item: is not displayed at all. My site looks normal with navigation and my theme’s sidebars but the place for the KB content is blank.
Thanks in advancecityfox
Oh I just found out the solution for problem No 1):
I found the icon at the top right corner to switch the view from excerpt mode to list mode. Up to now I didn’t noticed that. Sorry for this unnecessary question.
Hi Cityfox17,
Thanks for you’re questions
1. Top of the screen in admin section you’ll get the option called “screen options” to manage columns.
2. Related questions has been picked randomly from the category of currently displaying single post. So, It has no relation with users. You need to customize the code to get you’re required feature.
- Displaying post revision is possible. But, currently feature is not available.
3. Not sure about you’re requirement. It will be great if you send me a screenshot regarding you’re idea.
4. Require customization.
5. – If you deactivate ‘Templify KB addon” then plugin uses you’re theme archive.php/category.php to display category contents. That’s why it’s look like the blog post page. Also, I think there is no code written for breadcrumb to handle custom post type links. So, breadcrumb not displaying properly.
- Does single page displaying 404? if yes, then you can check following article to solve the issue. http://projects.bluewindlab.net/wpplugin/bkbm/knowledegebase/for-single-kb-post-im-getting-404-error-what-should-i-do/Let me know, If you need more support from me. Hi Mahbub,
I have sent you a message via the contact form. I would be very thankful if we can find a quick solution because I need to get your plugin work properly by the end of this week.

Hi Cityfox,
Replied you’re email earlier in the morning. Please check you’re inbox.
Thanks
How can i remove the links to the category pages? I dont want people to view a KB category where there is just full kb articles posted.
Hi Foxxx,
Thanks for you’re message.
- You need to customize the code. To do this open -
wp-content/plugins/bwl-kb-manager/shortcode/bkb-shortcodes.php file and then remove anchor(link) tag from line no 157.
Here goes screenshort - http://prntscr.com/88atsz==================================================================

Hi,
I have three pre-purchase questions:
1) Under a single Knowledge Base post I want to display ‘Related Knowledge Base Posts’ instead of ‘Related Blog Posts’ and adjacent blog posts. Is that possible or is there a risk that my theme will display blog post related stuff? I had these problems with other Knowledge Base plugins.
2) My theme has a “normal” sidebar on the right (that is always visible) and an additional sidebar on the left that is only visible for blog posts (filled with widgets for categories, archive and tags for blog posts). Will the additional sidebar for the blog posts automatically be displayed for the Knowledge Base Pages too? Ist it possible to replace this sidebar by a sidebar with Knowledge Base Widgets only for Knowledgebase Pages? Is that possible with your plugin out of the box or do I need the addon the “Templify KB Addon”?
3) Regarding the info that is displayed under a single Knowledge Base Post: Will it display automatically and only the Knowledge Base category and Knowledge Base tags or is there a risk that my theme will display blog post category and blog post tags? I had these problems with other Knowledge Base plugins.
Thanks yor your answer in advance.
cityfox
Hi Cityfox,
Thanks for you’re questions.
1. Only ‘Related Knowledge Base Posts’ will display Under a single Knowledge Base post.
2. You can easily manage knowledge base pages sidebar using “Templify KB Addon”.
3. Only knowledge base categories and tags will display under single knowledge base post.
Let me know, If you’ve more questions regarding my plugin. I’m here for you’re support. Thank You!

I need to translate the plugin strings to Danish. I know how to edit a .po-file, but I am unsure where I need to place the translation etc.
I have tried placing the translation in the language folder under
/wp-content/plugins/bwl-kb-manager/
and
/wp-content/plugins/bwl-kb-manager/lang/
but neither seems to work.
Can you give me a short step by step guide to translating the plugin strings?
Hi,
Please check documentation for translation guideline- http://projects.bluewindlab.net/wpplugin/bkbm/doc/#translatePluginLet me know, If you need more help

I purchased your plugin and it’s worked beautifully until I came across this issue. I’ve added subcategories to parent categories, however, only posts will display within each parent category (no subcategories are displayed). How can I enable subcategories to display? Thanks.
Displaying subcategories feature is not available. All Kb items will display under parent category.
Thanks.
Thank you.
Hi there,
Looks like a create plugin. I have some presales questions:- Can I view more then 5 items for each category on the overview page?
- Can I disable the feedback for negative voting panel?
- Can I disable the number spinning on hover?
- Can I disable the external KB Question Form?
- Can I disable the sticky question button?
- Is it compatible with yoast breadcrumb?
- Can I use a permalink structure like (www.site.com/support/kb/category/entry-name, when site.com is the base wordpress page)
- Can I change the layout with custom files?
I know its a long list, but would be great, if you could answer me these questions.
Greetings, Florian
Hi Florian,

Hi Xenioushk!
Is it possible to make some wiki entries only visible if someone has certain permissions? For example, they must be logged in to see?
Also, is there a way for people to edit other’s entries so we see older revisions? (like a typical wiki)
Thank you
Hi
Sorry, features are not available at this moment.
Thanks.
Hi,
I am translating your plugin. But for a strange reason I can’t get the translation to show on my website. I working with newly created file from en_EN.mo and .po and made them nl_NL.mo and .po. I have uploaden it to the server.
Any idea?
Marco
Please check documentation-

Hi… I just purchased the Knowledge Base plug in and each KB article goes to a 404 error page when I click on the title. I am sure I am doing something wrong.. can you please help. I get this … (bummer). You can try searching for what you are looking for using the form below. If that still doesn’t provide the results you are looking for, you can always start over from the home page.
Please check following article for 404 issue. It’s very simple to solve.
http://projects.bluewindlab.net/wpplugin/bkbm/knowledegebase/for-single-kb-post-im-getting-404-error-what-should-i-do/Thanks.
Perfect .. thanks for quick reply
You’re welcome
Hi there, I am looking for a knowledge base where I can add a main category and under this add a list of sub categories which each hold for example five articles.
Most knowledge bases I look at, including yours, only seem to allow a main category and a list of articles beneath, but what I am looking for is the option to add a sub categories to a main category.
Is this possible within your plugin or would you consider taking on the task for a resonable amount?
Cheers, Tatjana
Sorry mate, right now it’s not possible. Will think about you’re idea & I’ll let you know, If I include that in feature version
Cheers!
Hi,
I need to use a custom sidebar 9 created with WooSidebars with a knowledge base plugin.
It is important that the page with the single article must take on the same sidebar as the main page with all the knowledge base articles listed.
Can your plugin do this?
I purchased this plugin: http://codecanyon.net/item/knowledge-base-wiki-wordpress-plugin/5758910 and it can’t. Though I can select the sidebar for the main page, the single article defaults to the default primary sidebar.
Thank you;
Yes, plugin can do this.
Thanks.
I’ve just purchased a second of this plugin. It’s solid, has a lot of useful features and is extremely configurable. I highly recommend this plugin to anyone wanting a really good Knowledgebase plugin.
Probably the best reason to purchase this plugin is the superb support. The author even wrote a custom widget plugin for use on one of the sites. You can’t buy that kind of service!
Excellent plugin!
Thanks Athlone
Mahbub, you’re most welcome. Thanks for the great plugin.
Howdy xenioushk,
I just installed the BWL KB and Blog Post Addon. Thank you for creating this.
There were a couple of tweaks I needed to make to the default options on the Edit KB page.
I edited the source so that these options changed: - Hide From Blog List? No—> Yes - Display Voting Box: Show—> Hide - Related Post Display Status: Show—> Hide
I made these changes because I am creating a lexicon and I do not want it to be visible while I am constructing it. I have over 175 entries that I desire to create.
It would be nice to set these default options on the Option Panel instead of in the source code.
What do you think?
Hi,
KB Plugin comes with ‘Bulk & Quik Edit’ feature. You can easily change the status of ‘hide from blog list’, ‘display voting box’ and ‘related post display’ using that feature for multiple posts(entries)..
Thanks.
Yes, I am aware of the Bulk Edit feature. That is how I adjusted all the visibility options initially.
Yet, I am under the impression, when using the default settings, the KB that I add will automatically appear in my Blog Feed and that is exactly what I want to avoid until I am ready to make it public.
Maybe I need to make a private page and stuff everything on that? I don’t know.
Hi,
You can also ‘Hide KB Post from blog feed’ while preparing new KB post. That’s bit easier and you don’t need to create any private page.
http://prntscr.com/7cj53eThanks.
My challenge is that I am preparing to write 175 new KB’s.
I would prefer to have all of the Meta Box Settings pre-configured to my desired state thus eliminating the repetition of continuous alterations to every single new KB.
So, I will discover soon if I should simply Add and Edit 175 New KB’s then bulk edit all of their settings or manipulate the default settings to what I want before I start the process.
Oh Well ¯\(?)/¯ Time to get this editing process started.
Is it possible to align the Tabbed view of featured, popular and recent KB items to the right instead of the left when rtl is set to true?
Yes, it’s possible. Open bkbm-rtl-styles.css file and add following lines of code there-
.bkb-wrapper ul.bkb-tabs li{ float: right; }
Let me know, If you need more help.
Thanks
Suggestion – in addition to thumbs up/ down, it would be so cool if you could add following:
“21 found this article helpful”. Did you find it helpful?
IT is more positive I think..
Hi, ¨ This error percists even after upgrade… any news on this issue?
