Hello, please try to disable all other plugins and see if VC works properly – if yes – activate them one by one to determine which one causes conflict. If the problem still exist you will need to open support ticket at support.wpbakery.com – I have just checked it and it works with no problem. Hi is it possible to try VC before deciding for Extended licence ? Maybe buying regular, then refunded after I buy extended. I would probably use regular for months before I buy extended, ... thanks!
Hi, this is something to ask Envato as they handle all the transactions and refunds. But you can also try VC at our online demo – vcpreview.com – there you can quickly create your own sandbox to play around with VC.

Hi, you can use custom fields to display author name or if you have Advanced Custom Fields plugin installed – you can add fields from ACF to grid.

How do I fix this error?
Hi, this error appears because there is an inbuilt version of Visual Composer in the theme files – when you try to install it VC tries to overwrite existing function and receives error. Please contact your theme author so he can provide you with information on how to disable their inbuilt VC version so you can install default VC.

Hi, I bought a template with VC included but it doesn´t work. When I click one thing to add nothing appears. The message says successfully updated but nothing appears… I have to license the product? Because I saw that there is a license area in the configuration but I don´t have any license key because it was included with the theme.

Hi, if received VC within a theme you can use it with this theme with no problems – the restriction is getting direct update and access to support. I would recommend making sure you are using latest version of VC – if not, please do update. If the problem still exists – ask your them author to take a look at it or consider purchasing direct license for VC so you can open support ticket at support.wpbakery.com

Regarding responsiveness vs. stacking. Have one page four rows each row has 1/3 an image block, 2/3 text block How come that two rows are being stacked (picture above text or vice versa) and two are not i.e. next to each other? Screen is wide enough to have it next to each other (as intended)
All settings seem to be the same.

Hi, maybe there are some column responsiveness settings added – please check. Maybe some CSS class has been added there. If still the problem exists you should either open support ticket at support.wpbakery.com if VC was purchased directly and share link where we can see problem, or asking your theme author to take a look if you got VC within a theme.

I bought a theme for myself which already had this VC in it, which I absolutely love, but my question is more for a new client that I bought this for that already has a website. My question, “Does this interfere with any coding that they have, or does it organize it within the composer?” i know it’s a newbie qestion, i just want to get this right. Hi, VC works with previous content without problems – everything not recognized as VC element will be wrapped into text block to ensure it works the same as previous according to WP standards.

In return I get [vc_row]...
