Over the last couple weeks, we have updated the themes for over 100 websites. 95% of these websites utilize the Visual Composer plugin. The first couple updates, we noticed Wordpress working sluggishly in the page builder with Visual Composer mode on. At this time, after reviewing several dozen of our websites, we have confirmed the the Visual Composer plugin is causing the problem. This only happens when a certain quantity of elements are added to a page. This has affected ALL websites utilizing the latest Visual Composer plugin and we implore you to please correct the issue as soon as possible.

Hello, maybe it is related to amount of elements. If you have heavily stuffed pages with content they will work slow no matter if there is VC or not. If there is something more detailed, we would love to look into this – for technical support you will need to open support.wpbakery.com

Just purchased WPBakery, downloaded and installed the Plugin. My older version was out of date and needed to update. Wordpress failed to install the most recent version even after deactivating previous versions of WPBakery. Main reason is visual composer is no longer working.

Hi I am trying to lodge a support ticket but support.wpbakery.com is telling me I don’t have a licence (when I do) and I can’t input the license anywhere. Please help
The issue I am having is I do not have the option to stretch a row content to fit width (eg. stretch to fit edge to edge) – I am using VC v4.12.1 and Qode Bridge theme v10.0

This plugin is in so many great themes. I want to enable auto updates on my sites. I bought the plugin and now it is telling me that I can only auto update for one site and I need to pay $34 for every other site…should my theme purchases include the license or do I really need to buy one per site? If so, 1 does me no good when I have 50 sites.

Hello, the problem could be due to outdated version of if theme author removed it. You should consult with your theme author to decide upon actions. Either enable them with the help of theme author or update VC to receive these options.

Ive just purchased another one of these and when my site has checked for the licence its showing up the url from the last one i bought from another site! It won’t let me deactivate the url or the licence so what am i supposed to do?! to be fair why is it letting the licence that is being use don another domain be placed on a different one?!

Hello! I figured out that there is an issue with Visual composer and WP Super Cache. When you have “Cache rebuild. Serve a supercache file to anonymous users while a new file is being generated” deactivated in WP Supercache, then the Post Grid, Media Grid and so on don’t load anymore. It works normally for a few hours but if you check back to the site 1 day later the News don’t load anymore. Regards, Andreas

Looks like Pippin did a review on page builders (including a section for VC). He addresses some real concerns with VC’s lock-in effect as well as opening/closing shortcodes not working across elements.

Hello, thanks for sharing, a really great read. As the author of post told about himself that he prefers native style UI/UX, we believe that UI/UX is intended to make life easier and we have our own styling there to make it intuitive. Regarding shortcode – yes, this is a drawback from one side, but also native way from another according to WordPress. And here we do think about improvements as well So soon we will avoid this.
