Very few options, that makes you need to make customization and pay way more.
Technique the support have been using....
There are out there way more accomplished plugins...

for Feature Availability

I have purchased this plugin because it seemed that it can handle with variable product. I have checked it before in the documentation and the sandbox too, and looked fine. After the installation I have recognized that there are very few configuration and customization possibilities and the MAIN problem with this plugin was that when customer preorder the product, he/she has to pay something for it. Full, or partial amount that has to be paid, it means that the order goes through and will be placed in the webshop. In this period I am not able to modify the order, cannot add delivery cost, can do nothing with it, there will be an order wich is already paid, but without delivery cost.
They said that it is not problem, it is a feature, and it works fine: It means that the customer orders the product to be pre-ordered, pays the full amount, and then when the product becomes available, orders it again, this time with 0 amount, and then is charged shipping.
I have several problems with this. In Hungary, there is no such thing as a 0 ft product for accounting purposes, so I cannot issue an invoice for it.
The other is that it is inconceivable that the customer will order it again, there is no such thing in Hungary, no one ever does it, it will certainly not work.
So it does not work as I wanted, and as it was described in the documentation. This operation lacks any rationality, there are no such orders in life. In the real life, when somebody preorder a product, they have to be able to choose shipping too. Later then the product owner admitted that the plugin cannot handle with this, and offered this solution:
"if you need like that it is a part of paid customization. Need to modify the default functionality of the module. if you are interested in paid customization. please contact our sales"
I did not choose this, and since then I have deleted this plugin from my webshop, and do not use it. I am sorry, but it looked good.

If it's not clear enough, this product does not allow mixed products in their checkout process. You can not include a pre-order item AND an available item in one cart. This pretty much makes it worthless. On top of them not making a critical feature clear, they're impossible to get a refund from. They continuously send form letters completely ignoring what I've sent them. I'd give them zero stars for customer service.

Yes, for this a user can separately checkout with a regular and pre-order product.

We have not made the checkout workflow this as this is the required workflow requested from a majority of customers.

- Unclear documentation
- lack of backend usability (if you miss settings fields, it simply wipes the entire form even though none of the fields are marked as mandatory)
- decimal pricing not possible
- purely based on stock level, which is not applicable to digital products
Very disappointed.

Good plugin. Amazing support helpful staff fast response help me fix the issue within a week.

The only cons is cannot add multiple pre-order into cart, other than that really good, well worth of money.

This plugin offers something no other Woocommerce plugin accomplish, and that is being able to let the customer make a partial payment (think reservation fee!) of a Pre Ordered product.

With this feature you will both hook the customers with a lower partial payment so they don't risk missing the product and, also important, you will get an initial feeling for how many of that product you might be able to sell (think how many do you need to order!).

The webkul team has helped us all the way with fixing issues regarding the plugin functions and our localized WooCommerce shop. At times I thought some things might be impossible but the webkul team never gave up.

Therefore I give this plugin and the webkul team 5/5 stars.

And with the upcoming updates to the ease of use for the customers I have to say that this plugin is a must have for any WooCommerce store that want/need to let customers Pre Pay/Reserve a product.
