Hi! This is a truly great, complete platform. Is there a way we could configure a default document image? I’ve had my team upload documents, but none comes with their own thumbnails, and as such, it means people have to screencap the document’s cover one by one, each time they upload. I’ve thought about creating a placeholder image and tell them to use it instead, but it still is a step that shouldn’t be necessary, while also meaning the very same picture uploaded over and over and over again.

I see! I got it from Envato Elements. It makes sense that you wouldn’t be able to provide support to everyone getting it from there, although I was just wondering if there was some tinkering I could do on my own, I wouldn’t ask of you to give full support considering I got it from a subscription plan. So far, I edited the image input to required=false and while the actual collection doesn’t look so good, at least it does help making the upload quicker! Maybe I could just go with table list and you wouldn’t even tell the difference between the ones with and without picture… Also! I noticed I can’t edit documents that belong to a different user, even if I’m an admin! At the moment I’m just switching ownership to myself, doing the edit (which is, yeah… adding a picture), and then returning ownership to the proper user. As I wrote above, I don’t expect support regarding that behavior, however I did think maybe you’d like to know about it.

I’ve seen the plugin at work at another site and I like it, but I do have some issues. As far as I understand all those fields like ‘age’. ‘level’ and ‘license’ are mandatory. In the situation where I would need it, those fields are completely irrelevant. Also, the need to upload an image is rather an ‘extra burden’ if one only uses it for document retrieval.
So some tips for the future (and I would be buying it when it would be implemented) 1. Make it possible to configure if those extra fields are mandatory or not / shown or not 2. Have some ‘default image’ (like for example WooCommerce has) when people do not upload an image.
Further I think it’s a great plugin, as far as I’ve seen it.

I need to allow my customers (users) to access their private area (via username and password) to consult the documents that I (admin) have uploaded for them (invoices, estimates, etc.).
Furthermore:
Users can only view but not edit or delete what I (the administrator) have uploaded for them
users will only be enabled to view documents (not to upload or otherwise)

Hi there, thanks for great plugin. We need to create a website where user, after login, can see a list pdf documents that Admin has uploaded from backend. When admin upload a document, an email should be sended to that user informing that a document has been uploaded. Is this something we can entirely do using this plugin? Many thanks

User can upload document from frontend for admin review. Admin can review or upload document from backend but no send email when admin upload a document
Frontend will see list documents after approved documents by admin. (No private documents for any users)

We are a medical lab (like blood test), and we have medics (users) that gonna send us their pacients. The pacient give us his mail, name and test name. We must to upload the result of his blood test and asign to each medic (user) to see the results, also we can send a link to the pacient to see the pdf file.
