Hello,
I really like your plugin, but I have a critical feature request regarding AI Image Generation.
Currently, for images, we are mostly limited to OpenAI (DALL-E 3), which is very expensive ($0.04 per image).
Could you please add native support for OpenRouter in the Image Generation module? Or at least allow us to set a Custom OpenAI Base URL specifically for images?
Why is this important?
Through OpenRouter, we can use newer models like Flux.1 Schnell or Gemini 3 Pro Image, which offer high quality but are drastically cheaper (e.g., Flux costs ~$0.003 per image, which is 10x cheaper than DALL-E).
Since OpenRouter uses an OpenAI-compatible API format, hopefully, this wouldn't require a huge rewrite. Many users are switching to Flux/Gemini for bulk auto-blogging due to costs, and this feature would make WordPress Automatic the best plugin on the market.
Please consider adding this!

This is one of my favourite plugins for wordpress. The automatic plugin has plenty of features and is updated regularly. It incorporates AI, which can create short articles or summarise pages. I have several licences for it, it is definately worth it even if you only want to create a few articles or pages a week.
Customer support is quick and deserves recognition.
