I like this plug-in because it looks very nice and clean. Unfortunately, when I upgraded to v3 the daytime and nighttime temperatures overlapped making it look very messy and confusing. I had to go back to v2.2 til I can figure out the conflict.
If you are running the current version available on Code Canyon, please open a ticket on our support platform with a link to your page. We’ve addressed some display issues with the latest update. All the best.
Does this plugin deliver data over a secure connection (ie. SSL)?
The plugin uses standard WP functionalities to deliver data. All security matters are related to your local WP, including if you are using SSL or not. All the best.
The widget stopped working after upgrade to WordPress 4.7. It is set in the widget options area but displays nothing on the site.
It could be a temporary issue, caused by an overuse of our default API key. To avoid this issue in the future and improve the performances of the plugin, you should use your own API Key from OpenWeatherMap.org, by creating a free account. Please open a ticket on our support platform if you need help with this. All the best.
Same problem like user ORgetUS with my own api key. WP 4.7 Nothing apears since update. I try everything before comment.
Please make sure the display issue is not related to local cache. If you use your own API and you emptied the cache, please open a ticket and we will take a look. Thank you.
Does your plugin support Greek language and greek characters ?
Currently, we have two API weather feed providers: Open Weather and Dark Sky. Only Dark Sky provides weather feed in Greek for the widget. If you wish to use the shortcode, you can use both stations, as the day name will be translated in your WP install language. All the best.
Probably right in front of me, but I do not want the Day to show….just the weather…When I use [simple-weather location=”London, UK”], it still generates the Day name. How do I delete the day namesake? Thanks in advance.
You should use the parameter date to replace the day name with what you want. For example: [simple-weather location=”London, Uk” date=”“] should display the temperature without the day name. All the best.
PERFECT! Thanks for the quick reply!
Is it possible to display weather in the header next to the main menu?
Yes, if your theme allows shortcodes in that section. You can see here a demo for one of our themes: http://demo.curlythemes.com/hotel-wp/ where we added the weather info through shortcode in the tagline above the menu. If your theme allows it, it will work fine. All the best.
Hi ! How to make exactly the same? http://prntscr.com/e6idgu
All… I have done through php !
In the demo, we are using the following shortcode: [simple-weather latitude=51 longitude=0.1 days=5 show_date=no units=metric text_align=center display=block style=blocks show_current=yes]
All the best.
Hi guys, I send you a message two days ago and haven’t heard back – I’ve been having a lot of issues trying to make the shortcode work for the current weather with dark sky for a lat/long. It’s not showing the current weather when specified, it’s showing the next two days of forecast, help appreciated here.

I have some pre-sale questions:
1) Is this plugin full responsive and lightweight?
2) Can I use forecast.io for this widget?
Thank you! It looks nice at the first view.
Yes, the plugin is built for speed and responsiveness. We have two weather stations available: OpenWeatherMap and Dark Sky (forecast.io). You can use both of them for both shortcode or widget. All the best.
Can you say me if I can use your shortcode in combination with the Custom Content Shortcode plugin like this:
I really need this because I have thousands of pages and I have to build it variably you know?
We are not aware of how this custom shortcodes plugin works, but if it is able to add text strings in a regular shortcode, it should be fine. All the best.
Hi, great plugin! Had to switch to darksky as stock reporting was way off. Now am struggling and can’t seem to display celsius even with metric shortcode. Any ideas? Thanks.
Please open a ticket on our support platform with the shortcode you are using and we will take a look. All the best.
Hi, I would like to have hungarian language, It is possible?
We have two weather API providers. Only Dark Sky station supports Hungarian, Open Weather map doesn’t. So, if you use weather info from Dark Sky, it should be fine. All the best.
I need to display the weather of four towns in one website is that possible?
Yes, the location is defined individually for each widget or shortcode. You can add 4 shortcodes / widgets with 4 different locations in the same page if you want. All the best.
Why does my weather keep disappearing? I’ve even entered our own API key??
We’ve sent a reply to your support ticket. All the best.
<?php echo do_shortcode('[simple-weather location="auto" days="4" night="yes" units="metric" text_align="center" display="block" style="large-icons" api="*****"]'); ?>
It seems that the problem with the auto-detection of the location…location="auto"
Help fix !
We are not aware of any issues with the WP 4.7.4 compatibility. I’ve tested your shortcode right now and it seems to work fine. Please open a ticket on our support platform with a link to your page and we will take a look. Thank you.
Is it possible to use [simple-weather location=”auto”] and also automatically display the country or location name automatically?
No, the shortcode does not display the location automatically. If you use the widget, the default widget name will be the location. All the best.
Hi, pre-sale question, is there any option panel for the setting? and is it support auto-location?
You can add the weather info either through shortcode or widget. They both support geolocation. Please take a look through our documentation to see the shortcode parameters and widget options: http://docs.curlythemes.com/simple-weather/#shortcode-usage All the best.
It is an awesome plugin. Thanks for your reply, is there possible owe the options panel at the backend in the future? It will more easy to use your plugin indeed!
For the moment, we don’t have plans to add a builder for the plugin. Still, thank you for the suggestion, we will keep it in mind. All the best.
Thanks for your reply, with a builder we can easy to custom the weather skin, and what information we want to display. I will purchase you plugin.
I just noticed with this website ////// [simple-weather location=”Anchorage, AK” api=”c2409c7bee13f4b21d7b02b128a26332” interval=”1”]////////// The “day” is one day behind. As I type this Friday morning Los Angeles timecode, the website shows Thursday.
I’ve tested the shortcode right now and it seems to work fine. If this is not a copy paste error, you should use the character ” instead of ”, as your quote character is not valid. Please open a ticket on our support platform with a link to your website and we will take a look. All the best.
