All of a sudden stopped working. I uninstalled and installed the new version but the weather still does not show up. I tried both open weather and dark sky.

Yeah OpenWeather have actually lost the plot, if I even visit their website and enter some locations in Ireland they dont even show up, lunatics! Was working fine up until a week or two ago.

Hello,

Have you tried our second weather station, Dark Sky? For this weather station you need to set the location through latitude and longitude coordinates. Please try Dark Sky and you might get more accurate forecasts. All the best.

Its not really possible as I am getting businesses to enter Locations ie their town etc I have just seen your update with the settings page, would be great if we could set days to show, day/night etc generally the shortcode settings in that settings page, then I can get over the location detail and just update those :)

Thank you for your suggestion, we tried to keep the Settings page as compact as possible. We will keep this in mind for future updates. All the best.

something wrong with new version, show “invalid date”. no date appears.

Is this plugin officially broken? I’ve upgraded and tried OpenWeather & DarkNet and it no longer works. Use to work a week or so ago.. bummed!

I can get the Footer Widget to work, but not shortcode.

Hello,

It could be related to the shortcode structure. Please open a ticket on our support platform with the shortcode you are using and we will help. All the best.

AlexPeter

Hello,

No, info like wind and humidity are displayed only in the widget. All the best.

Will this work with multiple locations on one website?

AlexPeter

Hello,

Yes, you can set the location individually for each widget or shortcode. All the best.

Hi, so I went DarkSky route, just wondering about the shortcode, I need to have lat & long & I van use all the other attributes like the openweather shortcode, just lat and long is the difference? The station, and api, do they need to be in there as well?

AlexPeter

Hello,

Yes, with Dark Sky you need to set the location through coordinates and a Dark Sky API. You can set the API and the default station in the Settings panel also. All the best.

Just purchased the plugin only to find out that: a) the widget doesn’t work (doesn’t show up at all, now matter where I place it and how I configure it) b) the shortcode does work, but it’s not responsive at all, so it looks rubbish

I need it to work out of the box as it says in the description. If it doesn’t – can I get a refund?

Hello,

If the shortcode works fine, then the widget issue should be related to its settings. As for the shortcode responsiveness, it should inherit settings from the theme section where you place it, just like regular text content. Please open a ticket with both these issues and we will take a look. For refund requests, you need to contact Envato, as they deal with all payments. All the best.

Well, the thing is that it doesn’t :/ There’s definitely a bug somewhere, because the shortcode itself actually doesn’t work properly: - the simplest shortcode shows two days instead of one (and if I choose a number of days – it adds an extra one) - the responsiveness is there for every other shortcode except for yours, so it evidently doesn’t inherit anything

I have already opened a ticket, but have no reply yet

Hello, in console we get this message, looks like you have miss something and still running in dev mode.

You are running Vue in development mode. Make sure to turn on production mode when deploying for production. See more tips at https://vuejs.org/guide/deployment.html

Hello,

Yes, it was left on purpose, for easy issues investigation. It should not affect your use of the plugin. All the best.

Is it possible to set it up with a picture background?

Hello,

Our widget does not have an integrated option for image background, but you might be able to add it through your theme or buillder options / custom css. All the best.

Hi there,

I’m getting an error. I updated the plugin to latest version and now I’m getting “Invalid date” error.

Can you please assist?

Hello,

If you are using a shortcode, please make sure you’ve added a correct value for the date parameter. If you open a ticket on our support platform, we can investigate on your platform. All the best.

Hi,

I’m working on a “tourist places” directory in which all places are getting added to our websites as posts. In each of these “places” posts, I would like to display the weather widget, corresponding to that place.

There is n no. of places listings and each of these listings is having a weather widget inside post area(not widget area)

Q1. I would like to know whether the above scenario is possible with this plugin? Q2. Will the plugin supports other weather sources like yahoo weather?

Hello,

As long as you create a widget or shortcode for each location, it should work fine. The plugin has two weather stations integrated: OpenWeatherMap and Dark Sky. All the best.

Scratching my head here.. regardless of the amount of days I specify in the widget it will not show the next day’s weather.

Yesterday it showed TUES, THURS, FRI Today it shows WEDNES, FRI, SAT

Hello,

Please make sure you are running the current version of the plugin, as over the past year there have been several API changes. If you are encountering this issue with the current version, please open a ticket on our support with a link to your page and we will take a look. All the best.

I’ve just purchased and installed, but the widget I’ve set up is just a blank square. Everything seems to be set up correctly. but it’s just not showing any data. I’m on a local install, so I can’t share a link. Any thoughts on how to resolve?

Looks like there’s an issue because I’m using All-in-one Intranet plugin:

bodyText: “{\code\ API Requests must be authenticated because All-In-One Intranet is active\”,\data\}}”

Any ideas how to resolve?

I seem to have resolved. I think it might’ve been lazy loading that did it?

AlexPeter

AlexPeter Author Team

Hello,

This type of issues are usually related to the API connection. Yes, it is possible for the lazy load settings to fix such an issue, as it will load the weather in page after your other content and might avoid the API connection issue. This could also be related to your local install, so when you go live you might be fine without lazy load also. All the best.
