After purchasing this plugin, I realized that the “lifetime update” was a scam. It is impossible to update manually as they say, because you have to contact support to correct the download page in order to download the latest version, but when you try to do so... They ask you to purchase the support service, so you have to RENEW your subscription. What's the point?

Hello, The latest version of the plugin can always be downloaded directly from the Downloads section of your account: support.wpbakery.com/downloads
Contacting support is not required in order to download the latest version or manually update the plugin. Manual updates remain available for a lifetime, even if the support period has expired.

I completely disagree with forcing people to manually download and install updates without paying for support.
Updates should always be available through the WordPress updates page inside the site with a valid license. One should not need to pay for support to have this feature.
Especially given the number of security related updates in this plugin. This is essentially a security risk.

Hello, The auto-update feature is provided as an added convenience for users with an active support tenure, alongside other benefits such as WPBakery AI, the font manager, template library, and direct support.
That said, the renewal of support tenure is completely optional and does not affect access to plugin updates. Lifetime updates remain available to all license holders and can always be applied manually, ensuring you never miss security or feature releases even without an active support package.
I installed WPBakery upgrade into Porto and Findall. Both themes would ot work. Please return my purchase price.

Automatic updates are linked to an active support tenure, but this is purely optional. It’s designed to provide added convenience, along with other benefits such as direct support, AI features, and cloud templates.
