Very impressed by how easy it was to add settings and get the map I wanted in place, with appropriate pop-ups. The documentation is excellent. I'd like to see more options for the Popup layout and the Store Locator but otherwise, I'm very happy with the Treweler Map Box Map Builder.

First, thank you to the author! This is an amazing map plugin with a ton of options that makes creating a beautiful interactive map pretty simple. However, the data structure is frustrating and inputting markers with many fields is a pain:

1) If you start out using the demo/free version, note that the Popup Heading, Subheading, and Description will not automatically migrate to the new "custom fields." While there is a filter to re-enable these, it is not on by default, and there is no migrate function. At the very least, these should automatically be selectable as custom fields, since most markers will probably use some combination of them.

2) The Custom Fields are also problematic because unlike most custom fields (ACF, PODS, Metabox, etc...) these have to be toggled on through a popup or locator before you can even input the info. If you have a template setup, these fields need to be added to the template, and unlocked for each marker. And if you happen to re-lock the field and save your marker, it erases the field...

3) This will add hundreds of extra rows to the postmeta table for each marker, because every option is a separate meta field

4) While there is an option to import from Google Sheets, it still requires setting up all markers, coordinates, custom fields ahead of time, and creating the content just-so for the import, which is kind of a pain.

A few features that could improve this plugin:
1) Give an option to EXPORT a CSV or sheet of the existing markers, so the coordinates, images and everything is already set up to be modified and re-imported

2) Custom fields should be visible and editable at all times, regardless of whether they are active in a popup or locator. And locking/unlocking them should not erase the data.

3) Provide a way to set the markers per map in a bulk way. Personally, I would prefer to be able to select which markers I want on each map, rather than having to select which map each marker goes to.

really powerful plugin loaded with features, the onlyone missing for me right now is the ability to bulk import routes and shapes but this plugin is still a great choice

We are using the Treweler map plugin for a new local authority website we are creating.
We needed additional functionality and Alexey at Treweler was great at getting back to us. The region outline function we were looking for is in a new release and Alexey gave us a beta copy to try which worked really well.
Great support and an easy to use plugin with lots of very useful and well thought out features.
Setting up Mapbox was a breeze and getting an API key simple, unlike Google Maps.
I'd highly recommend this plugin for any map or multi location map requirement, superb with great support.
