Can I configure the menu to display on all device types from desktop to mobile?

Runner2009 Burt Gordon

Hi.

There’s a resolution setting which allows you to display it on a specified resolution range. Or you can show it on screens and devices of all shapes and sizes (which is the default setting).

Cheers.

Hi. Presale question. I think ‘touchy’ is the solution i’m looking for, but can you please confirm for me:

- i can keep my normal, main mobile menu from the theme on the top, but add an icon, or menu bar to the bottom, that is sticky, that is the ‘touchy menu’, with widget areas or buttons that only displays on mobile devices (for ‘call now’ ‘chat with us’ or fill out a form CTA’s).

thanks

Hi there.

Yes, you can show Touchy only on mobile and if you don’t want, you can indeed show your theme’s mobile menu as well (by default Touchy doesn’t interfere with your theme at all).

Cheers.

Pre-sales question: I’d like to use your plugin to make a mobile menu with four columns (similar look to your preview). But the four buttons I want are as follows: Menu, Account, Cart, Search. For each of the four buttons.. I’d like to use the icon, with text listed below.

1) is this possible with your plugin? I see menu and search are built in, but what about making the other two custom?

2) Can the cart button be linked to woocommerce to show the number of items in cart?

Thanks!

Also

3) can mobile menu be sticky / fixed ?

Hi.

You can override the functions of the call and email buttons with icons from the FA icon set and link them to any URL you specify (but if you want to show the cart item count along with the cart icon then that’s something you’d need a freelancer for). Menu can be sticky or not sticky, that’s up to you. Button labels will be added in an update.

Cheers.

Hi There,

Good looking menu system! Well thought out.

Q1. Does your menu collapse and close automatically when an href is clicked?

I want to target an element id on the existing web page where your menu appears. Not load another URL page on the site. In other words, the user clicks on the menu and it scrolls down the page to the correct id=”mycontent”. ( I don’t need help coding this feature). Many landing pages have most of their content on one page to keep surfers interested in the site and not bailing out waiting for other pages to load by clicking around. They simply scroll down for content. Particularly mobile devices. People don’t enjoy clicking around and waiting. The scrolling web page is a very, very common design feature nowadays. In fact a huge chunk of websites use this format.

Additionally, a lot of modern sites load content via Ajax calls. Having your menu stay open will confuse surfers. They may not see the change in content, particularly with a black dimmer overlay. There was a comment I read that made it appear that your menu only closes with page refreshes. If this is the case, IMHO, you should code your Javascript to “close on click”. I assume you’re using Javascript and/or Jquery and not purely CSS. Either way, I probably have the skills to hack your code to make this feature work, but I don’t really feel like poring through your code.

Q2. And finally, is there a setting to have your menu open when the page loads instead of closed with the static/fixed position “hamburger” nav icon?

I am considering your TapTap Menu too. So I have the same exact questions there and will probably paste this question there too. Thanks for your input.

Hi there.

1. Touchy does not have this at this time. TapTap does however. 2. Neither have this, menu is closed upon page load.

Cheers.

Hi,

1. Does it support screen orientation change?

2. Can the stick meny be stuck to bottom as well as top?

Hi. Yes & yes. You can see test and see both live on the demo sites.

Can this menu plugin replace the default theme menu?

Hi there.

Yes, you can hide your theme menu/logo etc. via class/ID when Touchy is active.

Cheers.

Good Day, this plugin is conflicting with my theme an other plugins how do I prevent this from happening

Having a look now but please contact me via the contact form on my profile, I offer support via email. Proper support can’t be done in the comments section here.

Cheers.

Thank you the code was the cause of the conflict

Great :)

Have a good week, cheers.

Hi, i wonder how can i get rid of it this (margin-top: 51px !important;) after hide menu on desktop screens…

Hi. I replied to your email with an upcoming version of the plugin. Please check.

Cheers.

Fantastic plugin, though did notice compatibility problems with thrive themes, when I tried to add buttons to bottom of the screen, remained at the top.

Hi there, glad you like it :) That doesn’t sound like a conflict though, probably a caching issue. Make sure your caches are cleared after making the change.

Cheers.

I have problems with my theme plugin sailent when active the plugin the fomormato of My Home disappears.

Hi there.

I’m not fully understanding what the issue is. That’s a bit of a confusing sentence :) Please send me your site address via the contact form on my profile and I’ll have a look at what you have going on there.

Cheers.

is there an option for multi-level menu to be horizontal instead of vertical ?

No, Touchy as well is a vertical menu :)

Cheers.

Hi, after the updating to 2.3 version, the slider on my home page doesn’t work. I use the last version of Revolution Slider plugin. I deleted the cache, and deactivated and reactivated all plugin, but the only way to fix the problem is deactivating the Touchy plugin. Can you tell me something to fix the problem using both plugins? Thank you very much

Hi.

Try disabling the retina script under the “Misc” section.

Cheers.

Hi! I have a question before I buy:

Is it compatibilitable with facetwp search?

I own this site: https://nasekavarny.cz/ and my question is, if it’s posibble, to make a similar or the same search options? (menu items show up after clicking in search space)

Thanks, Tadeáš

Hi. Haven’t tested with FacetWP. I’m sure mimicking the click behavior is possible but you’d have to get that done as custom work most likely.

Cheers.

Hi!

Pre-sales question:

1/ Can i use only the Search? Because just want it.

2/ Can the Menu full screen overlay?

Thanks!

Hi.

1) Yes, you can everything else and just have the search button visible. 2) Touchy doesn’t have a full-screen menu. Have a look at our TapTap menu if that’s what you’re after.

Cheers.

Hi, quick question … is it possible to change the 4 icons across the top? The main thing I’d want to do is include the word ‘MENU’ so it’s really clear that this is the main menu. The designs in the demo are not completely obvious, but that’s just my opinion. Also, can you just have one icon option, if I didn’t want the phone, email, etc?

If you can let me know, thanks,

Hi. Yes, you can replace the icons with any from the included icon set and you can disable any of the buttons. Button labels are coming in a future update.

Cheers.

Thanks for the quick reply. Would you say your other TapTap menu might offer more options? I can’t decide which one to get, so is there one particular thing one does, and the other doesn’t? I am using Avada on this test site http://www.web-design-redhill.co.uk/slidingsashsolutions/ which you can see has 2 menus and a tool bar (phone/email) area which I can’t turn off. So I want to remove the tool bar and have just one simple menu – do you think I’ll be able to do this?

Sorry for all the questions, but it’s better to know first before I invest a lot of time trying to set this up.

Hi.

All the details for both products are laid out in full detail on their respective item pages. Please read through them carefully and you’ll have your answers (no information is hidden, it’s all fully laid out).

Cheers.

Hello,

I am not technical, and I am using the Polo theme (here is the link of this theme: https://themeforest.net/item/polo-responsive-multipurpose-wordpress-theme/16078535?s_rank=2), would you please evaluate it and let me know whether your theme plugin is compatible with this theme, or any suggestion? thanks.

By the way, please check the screenshot athttp://prntscr.com/dtp9ag, are these three ICON menu buttons too?

is there a test site for backend setting of your plugin to view? thanks, and have a nice day.

Alex

Hi. Touchy will work with any theme coded according to WordPress standards. As for that image, not sure what you’re asking me here but that’s from one of the Touchy demo sites, so that look can of course be achieved via the settings included.

Cheers.

Hi, thanks for your reply, is there a demo site to show backend setting of this plugin? If yes, please send me by email at alexlii@sina.com, thanks again. Alex

There’s no admin demo. The admin uses WordPress’ built-in real-time live customizer for quick editing though.

Cheers.
