When I go into Row settings I do not see anything referencing timed content. Seems the plugin is not working? It shows as installed and license activated. I just purchased it yesterday

Hello??? Any help here.

Thank you for reaching out and our apologies on the delayed response. Once you install the plugin, it adds the show and hide options to the row container element. This typically shows as the top-most option, but depending on the other plugins you are using, it may show in other places. The primary option you will be looking for is labeled, “Show When,” which defaults to “Always Show.” Once you change that drop-down to something other than “Always Show,” additional options will slide out to allow you to set when you will see the row.

If, for some reason, you are not seeing the “Show When” option, you can reach out to our team privately with credential information, and we can diagnose why you are not able to see it.

Doesn’t recognise the time.. no matter what time you select to hide or show it doesn’t work..

It sounds like this may be an issue with your host or local setup. If you can please contact support privately we would be more than happy to help.

Okay. So ive figured out one issue. It’s using the wrong timezone. Im UK based – how do I change the timezone?

To view and set the timezone settings you will need to go to Settings>General within the admin dashboard and scroll down till you see the timezone.

You can also get there from the option to show or hide a row. If you put your mouse over the blue circle “i” directly above the option to see when a row should be displayed. it will show the current timezone and you can just click on the timezone to go to the settings page within WordPress so that you can set it.

Threw up an ‘unknown’ error when attempting to register the plugin with my Envato purchase code. So, it doesn’t work at all.

Hi

This is a presale request I would be very interested in your plugin but I see that it hasn’t been updated for over 2 years! Is it compatible with the latest version of wordpress (6.5.2) and Wpbakery (7.4)?

regards

Yes, it is full compatibility with the current version of WordPress and the current version of Wpbakery Page Builder.

As this plugin was not updated in a long time, is there any option to test it out before buying it? Or can I get a refund if it does not work?

We 100% stand by our plugin. Although it isn’t reflected in the “last update” shown by Envato we do test it with current and upcoming versions.

Hello,

This plugin didn`t receive an update since 2021. Does it still work with the latest version of WordPress / WpBakery ?

Yes, it does.

Are columns covered by this ingenious feature?

The options are only applied to Rows and Inner Rows. We did this because when you apply it to columns things can get VERY confusing very fast and it tends to create more problems than it solves.

The easiest way to handle using this with content in a specific column is to wrap the content in an inner row. You can then apply your rules that inner row.

I didn’t see anything on timezone, so my question is … how does time of day work? Does your plugin allow setting the timezone, so it’s possible to have messages of “we’re open” and “we’re closed”? * EDIT: In the screenshot, it shows timezone … and it’s a link … so I’m assuming that means you can edit the timezone …? * Looking forward to purchasing.

WordPress itself is what defines the Date and Time used. These settings are in the WP-Admin section under Settings>General>Timezone. This is where you can set the date, time and timezone for the Wordpress installation.

Early on we figured out that many people don’t know they can change the timezone. So we added that link to show the current timezone and provide a shortcut to the WordPress settings page for it.

With regard to setting a “we’re open” or “we’re closed” message, yes, you can do that. You would set the “we’re open” to be shown during the hours and weekdays you are open and hidden when you are closed. You would then setup your “we’re closed” message to do the opposite. That way one is always shown while the other is hidden.

Hi, I am using this to show/hide a lot of content, approx 6-7 items for a 7day week. This includes an image and text. Please can you let me know if this has any impact on page load times or is the hidden content not considered on page load?

Regards Gary

The plugin checks the content to see if it should be shown or hidden before the page HTML is sent to the visitors browser. Since this check is done server-side there is no noticeable change in the page load times.

The actual load times the users will have will be a result of what the final HTML they receive is. Typically more hidden content leads to faster load times, while more shown of course increased the time since more has to be loaded.

thank you, very helpful.

Good to hear. If there is anything else we can help with just let us know.

Hi, i buyed this plugin, but the calendar selector date not popup, and now not work.

We are sorry to hear you are having issues. This type of issue is best diagnosed by looking at your WordPress admin section. If you can please reach out using the “Contact Author” button in the support section someone from our team will help get this fixed for you.

Hi,

Presale question, it’s possible to use this plugin in this (explained below)?

There is a counter with 5 seconds everytime some one enters the page. after the counter reach 0, show the next content (I mean the counter 5 seconds for every visit, not for an exact date and time)

Thanks so much

Not with this plugin. This plugin will show/hide content at page load based on the rules you set for dates and times.

We do create custom plugins though, so our team can create a plugin based on your specific needs. Feel free to message us directly or email for a quote.

Hello, Please update to right version in dowload section. For now it has ver. 2.0.0 but you last version is ver. 2.0.1

Regards

When you install the plugin and register it you are connecting to our update server which always has the latest version available, which is why we recommend registering your plugin for updates. When we add the latest version to Code Canyon it must go through their review process. As a result sometimes the download version on Code Canyon can take a day or two to update. We have submitted the new version to Code Canyon already so you should see the download version update to version 2.0.1 within the next few days.

Hi, I know my support has expired, but i’m getting an error when trying to install the plugin since latest version: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ’?’, expecting variable (T_VARIABLE) in …./public_html/wp-content/plugins/TimeBasedContentForVC/vendor/phpunit/phpunit/src/Framework/Assert/Functions.php on line 177

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Purchasing ongoing support is an important part of what allows us to continue developing the plugin and how we are able to work with individual customers to resolve issues. At this point we have not received any other reports of this issue so it may be something specific to your installation, however we have added this to our bug tracker and will take a look. If it something we can reproduce it will be fixed in an upcoming release of the plugin. If this is something you would like us to work with you on individually you are able to purchase the extended support and reach out to us for 1-on-1 help.

Version 2.0.1 contains a fix that should resolve this issue. If you have not already please register the plugin to receive automatic updates and update it.

This is great, and will save me a lot of hassle on sites that routinely need carefully timed content. Do you make anything like this for Elementor? I’d be interested in that as well.

Glad to hear you found it useful. We don’t have a very for Elementor, but if you can share what you would like to see we can pass the information onto our development team as a future project idea.

Hello, is it still supported? Has an option to show his own countdown? Thank you

Yes, this plugin is still fully supported.

A countdown is not included in the plugin. The show/hide functionality requires a page refresh so if you are wanting to have a countdown to showing the item you would have to do that separately and it would need to refresh the page at the end of the countdown.

Will this work for accordion sections?

The plugin hides the entire row or inner row the rules are applied to. If you are looking to hide just an individual accordion section we would need to do custom development to make that happen. Please feel free to reach out privately if you would like a quote on the development that will be required to facilitate that.

Will this work with the Salient WP Bakery Page Builder?

We did look into this for you and it appears the Salient theme is using a modified version of the WP Bakery Page Builder.

This plugin should work with that theme and modified version of WP Bakery Page Builder. However, since don’t know the changes made by the theme to WP Bakery Page Builder we cannot guarantee that it will work properly or as expected.

As MirajaDesign 4 months ago (it is November 2020) proposed, PLEASE provide the folder ,,TimeBasedContentForVC” zipped. Also please correct the irritating 9$ in the correct price, as another user already proposed. Thanks.

When activating the plugin it gives me this problem Deprecated: strpos(): Non-string needles will be interpreted as strings in the future. Use an explicit chr() call to preserve the current behavior in /opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/TimeBasedContentForVC/vendor/smoolabs/wordpress-plugin-updater/plugin-update-checker-4.4/Puc/v4p4/Plugin/UpdateChecker.php on line 641

Listo, muchas gracias!

FYI… When attempting to upload the main zip folder I got an error message that the plugin install failed. then I realized you don’t have a zip folder in the contents for uploading purposes. So I compressed the TimeBasedContentForVC folder and uploaded that and it installed ok. Someone who isn’t aware of this might have an issue figuring it out.

We apologize for the frustration that may have caused. Our team will look to see what we can do to help issues like that be avoided in the future.
