I want to only allow Chrome browser to access the site… the rest of the browsers I want to block. Please how do I do that? Thank You

Please configure the plugin as follows:
‘The Minimum Version of Google Chrome that your Website Supports’ -> All Chrome Versions
Also, please set the other similar settings fields (for the other browsers, example: ‘The Minimum Version of Firefox that your Website Supports’) to ‘No Firefox Versions’.

The plugin does not seem to be working properly as of the wordpress 5.5 update (we had the settings just to show in Internet Explorer and allow all other browsers but after wordpress 5.5 it started displaying in Chrome). Can you please look into the compatibility issues?

I checked on this, but for me, the plugin seems to work correctly on WP 5.5 even when combined with Internet Explorer.
Can you tell me, please, some more details about your plugin config: screenshots with your current plugin settings, what version of IE did not work for you, does the website have a caching plugin installed?

Hi Can this plugin do the following Detect the user browser type and redirect to a specific page? I.e Visitor with IE browser will be shown www.mysite.com/ieform else load www.mysite.com/allform

Does this plugin have a history of known conflicts with any other WP plugins or themes? When I uploaded it to my site and enabled it, I almost instantly began to receive HTTP 503 errors, causing me to have to refresh my page several times to retrieve it. I also noticed that my page speed increased significantly after activating the plugin. I tested it on GTmetrix and had some speeds as high as 20 seconds (normal for my site is around 4-5 seconds).
As a result, I have currently removed the plugin. I would really like to be able to use it, so any support you can provide would be appreciated. Thank you!
Sorry, I see in previous comments that the plugin does not work with caching plugins. I currently have Autoptimize on my site, could this be causing the problem?

Yes, the plugin is not supporting caching plugins. Please disable caching plugins and check the plugin’s functionality.

Thanks for the fast reply! Unfortunately, the Autoptimize plugin is important to the performance of my site, so I’d rather not disable it. That’s my fault for not reading through the comments fully before purchasing.

No, unfortunately this plugin will not work together with caching plugins, because it caching plugins server a static version of the website to users. I plan to update it in the future, to make it compatible also with caching plugins.

No, in the current plugin version, only the entire blog can be blocked when an older browser version is detected.

Is it possible that there is a bug in this plugin? Or that there is a conflict with certain cache plugins? Because on my site I keep getting warnings, although the browsers I’m using is brand new. All settings are correct … The site where I’m using the plugin is a multisite. Could that something have to do with it?

Hi, this is very weird.. I installed it on another website and it works as it should.. when YES is activated, but for some reason on my original site I have to set it to NO so that is recognizes Unrecognized browsers.. No I don’t give my login to anyone, but I’ll try and see if it is a plugin conflict. Very strange issue.

Ok, I guess the preference did not stick.. I again played with changing/toggling settings a few times and resaving each time, and now it works.. maybe some database glitch. Sorry about this, it’s fine now ! I can finally block Evil Explorer !!!! :0) I gave you 5 stars :0)

Hi! very interesting plugin but unfortunately there is a bug when I open site on ipad with chrome… with safari all looks good…
For ex. – ipad 2 – OS 7 – I set the Minimum Version of Safari to 9 – but chrome still opens the site. Only with the option “no safari version” it shows the update browser message…
PS. Chrome ver changing also does not help, because of shortcode recognizes the browser still as safari

This is an unusual issue… Can you add, please, to your website (to a test page), the [sphinx_browser_info] shortcode and send me the info it displays if you visit the page from different browsers (the ones you have issues with). Please send me the shortcode’s output and I will investigate this.

It’s not about ipad 2, for ex. ipad 3 with OS 10, I’ve tied to change Minimum Version of Safari to 11, samу issue – Chrome screen https://imgur.com/FIcBINP
Both times – Safari blocks the site, Chrome is still loading the page…

Can you configure to only accept a specific browser version? Without interval, for example can you configure to only accept version 50?

Right now, the plugin supports only the defining of a ‘minimum browser version’. So, all browsers from that version and up, will be accepted.

The plugin does not block traffic coming from Internet Explorer. My site still loads. I got it to work for Safari but not IE. I had it set to block all versions of IE. Can you help?
