At the moment, SoundCloud deactivated the API that this plugin was using, because of this, it is not working. I am looking for an alternative option to replace the API and to make the plugin work again. As soon as I find a solution, I will release an update for the plugin.

To fix this, please contact your hosting provider’s support and ask them to allow access to this address: http://api.soundcloud.com

The API key is functional, it is working on my servers. Please contact your hosting provider’s support, and ask them to change the current IP address of your server (or to double check firewall rules, if they did not manage to disable firewall rules correctly).
Also, if none if the above is working, please connect your website to CloudFlare, because this might help solve this issue: https://cloudflare.com

I hope the API key is not just for testing but for use, because i don’t have a soundcloud API if I am buying the script. I will totally rely on the API key you will give me to be able to use this script.
I really need this script to be able to run a music blog and automatically generate contents on the go. I will be devastated if I dont get an API key or for some reason the key stops working.
To be honest, i cannot guarantee that the key will work in the future. All i can do is to try to replace it if is not functional any more.

I am using the API key given and it is not working. I just keep getting an X. I used the API key from the demo and it worked one time for me, then I went back to import more and I get a yellow status and nothing is importing.

I get this message: SoundCloud Application Registration Due to the high amount of requests recently received, we will no longer be processing API application requests at this time. Nice idea, but lacks features that I need. I would buy it if you add selection of tracks by the number of plays with selected hashtags (so that I could select only popular tracks available with one or several hashtag). It would be great if plugin will include filtering by the “creation date” + “comments count” + “number of plays” + “hashtags” in the searching for a post request. It could be also great if i could select tracks and plan them for featuring on a website. If you’ll add these features I’ll be the first who will buy it.

I checked and SoudCloud API does not offer the features you mentioned. I will send them an email, making a feature request with the list you mentioned. If they will add this to the API, I will make a plugin update to include the new features also in the plugin. Let’s see what they respond.
