Hi I need to create a mosaic, with a horizontal scroll in a html site, My question is Can I with the Portfolio Grids – HTML/CSS/JS?
It does have the mosaic layout. But it scrolls vertically only. Check our demo site for more examples.
Pre-sale Technical Question – custom post types / custom fields
Can the wordpress plugin version of Portfolio Grids be used with custom post types?
e.g. suppose I created a custom post type of movies with fields that included cover image, title, and summary – could these fields be used instead of the portfolio fields?
If yes, does this require custom programming?

Hi, The Portfolio Manager uses its own custom posts type that has the media, title, description fields that you need. You can check on its demo site to see some examples: http://otwthemes.com/demos/portfolio-manager/ No custom programming is required.

Hi, the script currently can open one item in a lightbox. If you want to customize it feel free to customize your own copy however you want.
Can different size images be used on any given page?
Every template is different. Some like the newspaper layouts will allow you to use different height images. Most templates have recommended widths that you can find in each template.

Please check on the demo site. There you can find all the available ready to use templates. The filters are available only for some of the templates. And the single portfolio image can be replaced with a slider copied from another template for example.

The template includes HTML/CSS and JS files. How hard it is to integrate it with PHP and MySQL in a page really depends on what are you trying to accomplish. The HTML/CSS is pretty flexible and should not be any problem to integrate it.

Thank you for this. Two questions:
1: Where can I go to decrease padding for the image only (with spacing) grid? I want to decrease padding to about 6px width and height.
2. On smart phones when on portrait, the same grid goes to one line. Which looks great, but when turned to portrait, it remains one line…which is weird. Anyway to reduce the max widht 767px for smart phones or make it tp show 2 columns instead, and how? thnx!

2. This is how the template works, bellow that width everything goes on one column, above it it stay the original arrangement with smaller images to fit the screen.

Hi,
The script is made to re-size the images. If you make the screen smaller it will re-size the images properly. On a bigger screen it will make the images bigger. So basically how this layout works is it has a few sets of images in % that you can use (mosaic-layout-1-4.html) and the script will take care of the rest.
You should be able to replace an image with an youtube embed video. You will need to play with the iframes of the youtube.
