I’m looking to but a portfolio gallery plugin for my site.
Does this allow me to specifically say 2 columns for smartphones, and 4 columns for larger screens, scaling the thumb to fit?
Can I have a video link play directly when the thumbnail is clicked from smartphone or tablet, skipping the second click from the shadow box?

For example the Portfolio 4 columns (Layouts -> Grids -> Portfolio 4 columns on the demo site) can be set to be 2 columns on mobile. You need to add some simple mobile grid settings. By default it will go on one column.
If you embed for example a video from youtube it can be played once the play button is clicked. If you want to have a thumbnail that opens the video, this means the video is going to be opened in a lightbox so you will need to have a second click.

I can’t really say at this point because we still have a lot of development and testing. Plus we added more options for the WordPress version.

You should look for the < ! - Portfolio Media - > This is where the media is: image, video, etc. Replace the image. Note that you might need to remove the overlay as well.

I just got this plugin but when I unzip the ( Portfolio Grids – files.zip ) the file only includes a buch of html files.
But I don’t see the plugin files, only html files.

This is HTML/CSS/JS item. It is not a plugin. It can be used to add portfolio/gallery to your HTML site, integrate it in any sort of CMS like WordPress, Joomla, etc.

Wow I got the wrong file, I did not read, I was looking for a Wordpress plugin.
Try to contact envato support and ask for a refund. We will be releasing a WordPress plugin too. But it still needs a lot of work and I can’t say a release date yet.
