Thank you for notifying me of the demo issue, I am working on a fix for it.
Regarding your question, yes, the plugin can import PDFs from links, but it will not grab and update information, it will post content only once from the pdf documents.

Hi. I’m interested in this plugin but i’m not sure if i can achieve what i’m trying to do. My users doesn’t have direct access to WordPress. Usually they put their PDF in a SharePoint folder wich is synchronized with an FTP Folder (not the WP Upload folder). Then someone else create an article post with just a link to the PDF in the FTP. It’s overly complicated but it’s the simplest way for my users. Can i use this plugin to auto generate a new article (draft or published) with just the link from new files in a specific FTP folder?

In the current version of the plugin, pdf files can be imported only if an admin has access to the backend of WordPress and uploads the pdfs to the plugin’s working folder, from where it is able to import content from the pdfs. Unfortunately, it cannot access remote FTP storage for this.

Importing of a random page is not supported in the plugin right now. You can set a page range or a specific page to be imported.

This plugin imports content from pdf files and does not create pdf files from posts (I think you asked about this).

You could add a feature to the program to publish it directly from the pdf link
ex : http://promotions.panda.com.sa/Zone1//files/assets/common/downloads/publication.pdf

Thank you for this suggestion, I updated the plugin to v1.0.6, added remote pdf importing support.
You must select ‘Remote PDF’ in the ‘Pdf File’ dropdown when creating your improting rule and set the pdf URL in the ‘Remote PDF File’ settings field in rule advanced settings. Please check.

Kudos for developing this Awesome Plugin. Now, I already Own the “Mega Bundle” of Yours, but, because this is a “Plugin Specific” comment, I thought it is best to post the comment on the Plugin’s Detail Page.
What I am trying to achieve : So basically, I have a Set of PDF downloads ( Brochures of Cars ) which have a lot of Images. Now, My target is to import all the Images of the Brochure ( along with the Text ) to a Post. Would this be possible with this Plugin ?
If this Feature is not supported at this point in time, then kindly do consider adding this Feature ( in this Plugin or maybe in another Plugin in the future ), as this is a really Helpful and handy feature that will definitely benefit a lot of folks out there.

Yes, this is possible right now.
For this to work, you should increase the ‘Maximum Number of Images’ parameter in the rule where to import pdf content to a value tbat fits your needs.
