I like the look of this plugin, but I’m wondering if there is a way to show or hide timeline entries of a specific type? For instance, if I have a company with 10 offices, is there a way to select that I only want to view the timeline entries for offices A, B, F and G? Or would I be able to select “View All,” or “Hide All?” Or is the only option a linear, all-inclusive timeline?
Sorry for the delay in answering, have been out travelling. There is no option such as your comment, it’s doable loading data with Ajax while changing office, then restarting the script. But as said, that option is not included in the package.
Hope thie helps. Let me know if i can be of further assistance.
I have already purchased the wordpress version for my website, but it has bugs and doesn’t have good support. Can I purchase this version and have it work on the wordpress 3.9.2 by using an iframe plugin? How different would it be for me to use?
Hi. Yes, you can, just consider the requeriments of an iframe environment. I mean, you can have it done easily, just place the html contents of the timeline somewhere in your server, and point that url on the iframe plugin inside your WP post or page. But, for example, you won’t be able to edit the timeline contents from your WP admin, of course, and consider that if you have a responsive site, the iframe won’t be responsive.
Hope this helps!
Hi, I just want to ask regarding the plugin, we want to duplicate the whole box for different year range purposes. we tried to change the ID name under the timeline container as mentioned below:
from<div id=”timeline_container”> and <div id=”timeline”>
to
<div id=”timeline_container1”> and <div id=”timeline1”>
and also change on all instances of them within the jquery.timeline.js
but it doesn’t work.
Any advice to solve this problem? Thanks in advance
Hi. I’ll make some testing and will let you know. That system (should work). I will make an update to this plugin soon, upgrading libraries (jquery..) to latest versions and will try to make it flexible as to per include to same page.
Hi Gerrie. Have been doing some test. Until i move the plugin to multiple-instances structure, the easiest way to get this done is to convert all ID references on html, css and js to CLASS.
If you want me to send you the sample with all this already done, write me from my profile form and i’ll be sending you the zip by email.
Kind regards and thanks for your patience with this!
I was interesting in purchasing, but the demo doesn’t seem to work with Safari. It seems to work with Firefox. So I am wondering if there is a limitation here. When I try to view the demo on Safari, I see a light blue square with a lightning bolt.
Hi. I’ll check it out, it was working on latest Safari i checked. Maybe is something regarding the newer version. Thanks for the heads up!
Hi pezflash. I think I accidentally downloaded the jQuery version of the slider, when I meant to purchase the WordPress version. Can we apply the amount spent on the jQuery version toward the purchase of the WordPress version?
Thanks
Hi. Try to contact support and explain them what happened, i can’t do anything from my side, sorry about that!
Can you turn off the dates (keep them from showing) when viewing the timeline. I just need the sequence, not the dates. Thanks!
Yes, you will just need to deactivate the tooltip.
What would the cost be to make it responsive?
Hi. Well, is not an easy thing (if not i would be done already), as i need to rebuild complete the code layout and the concept, as this design for narrow vertical screens doesn’t makes sense. Contact me through my profile form and let me know your project needs (maybe kind of scaling solution could work, but depends on your requeriments), i’ll be replying by email. Thanks!
Hi, I would like to purchase this plug-in but it was last updated in 2012.
May I know if it still work for the latest version of wordpress and jQuery?
I tried to click on preview, but there is a blue lighting flash icon at the centre that keeps flashing and I can’t seem to click anywhere.
Thanks.
Hi. First of all, in case you misunderstood it, this is not a Wordpress plugin, but a jQeury plugin. It can’t be installed directly on wordpress.
About your question, it should work fine, please let me know which platform you have (system + browser + browser version), so i can make some testing. Thanks!
Hi, I was using safari 7 browser on a mac when I clicked on preview. I think my browser may not have the necessary plug-in.
Wonder if this plug-in has been tested on wordpress 3.8 using iframe method that you have advised on other users in your earlier posts?
Thanks again
You shouldn’t need any plugin, i’ll check it out. About iframe plugin, yes, i tested myself, note that iframe plugin just displays a html site url inside a fixed size iframe on Wordpress, so as long as it works standalone on that url, it will inside w WP site using it.
Hi,
Just a technical question, can I use ColorBox instead of prettyPhoto?
Thanks
Yes, but it’s not included, you will need to implement the plugin files and so on by yourself.
Thank you very much
Hi,
Is there a way to sync the pins to the top images and bottom text ?
I’ve tried adding a div to the images and make them 940px; and on create 2 columns like so for the bottom content.#timeline .c470 { width: 470px; }
Can’t seem to get them sync.
Why didn’t you approach this by when the user clicks on the pin search for the id of the column below, using something like data-find-content:’#content’, so in that way you can sync the pin with the content / and images on top.
I got to say that your code is one of the most coupled code i’ve found on the market, if i remove the div for the audio player, it throws an error, what you could do is check if the #id or .class exist use then the audio player, otherwise avoid calling elements that are not there.
Let me know if this makes sense.
Regards, Moosethemes
Hi. I used the functionality of the custom scrollbar (click on bar to reposition the target element) to integrate kind of milestone pins, but there is no built-in exact reposition to IDs, as you ask about. But yes, i’m agree that would be a better aproach. Honestly, this was one of my first js works, and obviously it needs improvements, also regarding responsiveness and so on. On my schedule it’s always a v.2 rebuilt of this plugin, but couldn’t find the time.
Anyway i want to make a new release upgrading the jquery dependencies and solving some issues as the one you mention regarding audio element on js/DOM. Hopefully will be done the following weeks.
Hi Wash. Can’t check your code. Better send me your URL testing path through my profile form so i can check what could be wrong on your side.

Hi is there a responsive version?
Hi. Not yet, i’m working on new templates for TF, once finished i’ll think about a responsive workaround for this plugin, but is not easy, some core strcuture will need to be changed.
I bought this plugin but when I zip it to upload in WP I get an error message. The folder structure that was downloaded is as such:
jquery_timeline_slider 01_Samples 02_Help 03_Psds version_log.txt
It is not at all clear which folder I am supposed to zip to upload. FYI, I do NOT have ftp access to this particular site, so if I can’t zip this folder I will need to request a refund.
Thanks for your guidance - Lisa
Hi. This is not a Wordpress plugin, but a jquery plugin. I’m sorry you misunderstood the description. Is not under any Wordpress category.
Just guessing if you arrived to the product page from a blog saying it was a WP plugin.

If you can’t get a refund (not sure if Envato refunds in these cases), you can try using irame plugin (http://wordpress.org/plugins/iframe/) to display the url where you place the timeline contents. Obviously customization over the timeline will need to be done directly con html/css code.
Thank you for responding – is there a WP version? I don’t have the programming skills to convert this….hopefully they’ll give a “credit” if not a refund!

Although note that i’m not the author of that plugin and i don’t give support for it.
I love this timeline, but before i purchase this timeline. I want to know if this can be used with Wordpress?
Thanks

Although note that i’m not the author of that plugin. If you think you prefer this version, you can try to use it using iFrame plugin for WP.
Hi, I want to buy this plugin. Here is my presales question; Is it possible to use this plugin at wordpress, 3.7.1? How can I integrate it to WP? Regards

Hi, Will slider work properly in Drupal environment?
As far as you can use iFrame to display it, i guess so. Never used Drupal, sorry that i can’t be more helpful on this.
Just note this WON’T work as a drupal plugin by itself.
understood. Is it responsive design ?
Hi. No, it does not include css mediaqueries.
Great timeline! We love it. I do have a question, is there a way to have the top image area snap to a certain area based on the individual width of the images and the overall width of the imagesWidth? We have designed each image to be 952px wide and when you drag the top image and it lands in between the two images, it is sometimes difficult to tell what text goes with what picture. Any ideas how I can easily implement this? thanks
Hi. There si no automatic synchronization between both areas, so markers should be placed by hand on pixel basis. You will need to make some maths if your content needs to be aligned exactly while planing the global width of the images and tombstones.
Hope this makes sense. Kind regards and thanks for purchase.
Awesome work. I can’t seem to add more than 5 markers. I’m duplicating the other markers and changing the div ID to the next number up (“m6”) and positioning them well within range, but I can only get a total of 5 markers to show up. Help?
Sorry, sorry!! My fault. Operator error. As always
Disregard my message and thank you for a great plugin!
Nice you got it working.
Let me know if i can be of further assistance.
Just recently purchase the timeline and it has been great and easy to customize. The only problem we have is trying to make the top half “touch” friendly when used on an ipad. Is there anyway to make the image part scroll when touched without using the scroll bar?
Thanks again, Cris
Hi Cris. This is something i wanted to integrate, honestly, couldn’t have time. As i’ve to make some other updates (jquery dependency, linked plugins) to newer versions, i’ll be making a full review of the whole functionality, including adjustments for mobile devices as the one you point out (don’t think i’ll turn this into a responsive plugin, thought, as i could need almost a start-from-scratch stage).
If you click on getting updates alert on your downloads page you will be getting an email when this update will be published.
Kind regards and thanks for the heads up!
Awesome!!! I can’t wait…
Good Morning,
When you have a chance, I’d sent you a private message about customizing the template. Wanted to know if it was something that was easy to pursue.
Thank you in advance, Cris
Yeah, i got it. Will be replying later today. Sorry for the delay.
