I have a few questions regarding issues that seem difficult for me solve – the issues seem to come up since I’d like to have 4-5 variations of keywords (and prioritized) for the same destination.
1) Can I make sure that the same post will only link to the target once per post – even if 2 or more of these variations appear in the same text?
2) Can I add a site wide maximum of a keyword variation. Say I don’t want a URL to be targeted more than 5 times with a specific keyword (in total on my website).
The AIL -> Max Number AIL option determines the maximum number of substitution per keyword and the target of the keyword is not considered, so the answer is that you can’t limit the number of substitutions per target. The two available option can apply a limit “per keyword” (available in the AIL menu) and “per post”. (available in the plugin options)
Since the autolinks are applied on the fly when the post is read, an analysis on all the posts of a blog to determine the number of time that a specific keyword has been applied is not possible, simply because applying regular expressions to all the posts of a blog just to retrieve this information would consume too many CPU and memory resources.
Hope this helps, if you need more info feel free to ask.
Is there any way to create an external link to my Facebook page? I have the word “Facebook” at the end of almost every page and post. It would be nice to create a link for that one time and be done.
The only other thing I would love to see is the ability to create Alt Text for each link. Not mandatory, but at least optional. I like to let my visitors know where the link leads and by having that little pop up text there, they can decide if they would like to “Click here to learn more about our product.” Or in my case, “Follow me on Facebook (Opens in new window)”
Those would be awesome additions to an already great plugin!
Since the Interlinks Manager plugin allows only to create internal autolinks you can create a clocked link (you have to use your favorite method, plugin or script because there isn’t a feature to clock links in Interlinks Manager at the moment) to your facebook page (for example from yourwebsite.com/out/facebook/ to facebook.com/yourpage).
If you mean the “title” attribute, yes would be a nice additional, I consider this for a future update.
Hope this helps, if you need more feel free to ask.
Thank you! I’m loving the plugin so far and I look forward to future updates!
Not bad. Plugin handles the internal links great, but should really consider an option to disable the assumption of the home_url from WP (maybe a simple yes/no option). I removed those bits of code so I can link to Twitter, Facebook, etc. and still use relative URLs for internal stuff.
Prob 5 stars if I didn’t have to go into the source. Good work.
thank you for the the appreciation and for your feedback. Other users asked me the same in the past so an option to modify the link prefix (a text field to modify the default value, which is the home_url) or to enable external links (a select box with yes/no) will be probably added in future releases. It’s a simply change but before implementing it I have to verify that there are no implications in the overall behaviour of the plugin.
Of course. I’m using it on a fairly large site very regularly updated (5 posts a day usually), so if I encounter any issues by having the home URL not set, I’ll pass it along. I also added tags around link regex to fit a design element on my site, but that’s a pretty stable change.
Sorry, I meant strong tags.
Is it compatible with php7?
Hello mocartstudio, I confirm you that Interlinks Manager has been tested and works also with PHP 7.
Hi, I just bought your plugin.
Where is the option to limit the Autolink Generation Amount per keyword per page? I only see an option to limit Autolinks for all keywords per page.
Where is the option to limit Autolinks per keyword per page???
We want to achieve that every keyword is only generating maximum one Auto Link per Post / Page.
So that if a keyword is found on a page, only the first occurence gets transformed into a link.
Please help. Thanks.
With the AIL -> Max Number AIL option (this option is available when you create or edit an autolink) you can determine the maximum number of substitutions for a single keyword. Set this option to 1 to transform only the first occurrence of the keyword. If you want one occurrence for all the keywords use the value 1 to all the keyword.
The Options -> Max AIL should instead be used to set the overall maximum number of auto interlinks per post.
thanks for the support. It works now.
Great plugin, congratulations & thanks.
One idea: It would be great if there could be a “search box” added to “Interlinks Manager – Dashboard” screen to quickly filter specific posts by title (with text input / title text match search, similar to filtering normal posts in WP).
I consider you suggestion for future releases.
Thank you for the appreciation, if you like this plugin please remember to rate it on your downloads area on CodeCanyon, this helps the plugin sales.
I really like your / this plugin. I will give it a rating 5 out of 5 stars!
i have some question about this plugin
1. Can i say: keyword 1, keyword 2, keyword 3 in the same group, please link only one keyword to the destination side, if more keywords in a post are available?
2. Can i say: It is possible to have 10 keywords with 10 different destinations in one post? I did’t found an option for this
3. i have a button in wordpress via shortcode, the plugin destroy this button by using a keyword for an internal link
[button link="http://www.kuenstliche-weihnachtsbaeume.net/weihnachtsbaum/trendisland-douglasie-tanne-150-cm/" color="red" title="Trendisland künstlicher Weihnachtsbaum" target="_blank"]Trendisland Weihnachtsbaum - jetzt ansehen.[/button]
<a class="standard-btn red-btn" href="http://www.kuenstliche-weihnachtsbaeume.net/weihnachtsbaum/trendisland-nordmannstanne-180-cm/"><span>Trendisland Weihnachtsbaum – jetzt ansehen.</span></a>
but, when i say, don’t use a or span or the class in Protected Tags it does not work. the plugin use the kw trendisland.
i use your plugin on https://www.kuenstliche-weihnachtsbaeume.net/
Thx, best regards
Hello wiwoo, I approved your request. Kind Regards.
Just bought your plugin.. please add title attribute for autolinks in the next update and I will be happy!
thank you for your suggestion, an update will be released at the end of this month or in the first part of January with this new feature. You will receive an email when the update is available in the marketplace.
Hi, is it possible to limit the amount of links per keyword per post? e.g. I want the keyword “home” just linked once per post
sure, when you create the “home” keyword use the Max Number AIL option available in the AIL Menu to set the maximum number of autolinks that should be generated per post for that specific keyword.
One suggestion: Activate Post Types: comments option!
We need AIL on comments too
And bulk changing for Activate Post Types on already added keywords of course
Hello wobwob and thank you for the appreciation,
I saved your suggestions so that will be considered for future releases.
Hi, does this plugin also add the links to PAST posts as well as future?
Hello ps3home, I confirm you that the autolinks are applied on any post (past and future posts included) based on your criteria specified in the AIL menu:
Create an auto internal link
i just make in the option to not consider in the title but even it a link. and i try to test the link but no one is working? like hier: http://arabtours24.com/%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B3%D9%8A%D8%A7%D8%AD%D8%A9-%D9%81%D9%8A-%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%A7%D9%86%D9%8A%D8%A7/ .

I just replied to your email. Before asking for a refund please proceed as follow:
Hope this helps.
is it possible to turn off the keyword <-> source AIL within the source post?
e.g. keyword house links to url example.com/house. in the text on example.com/house the keyword house is mentioned and therefore a link is placed on the keyword. any ideas how I can turn that off? thanks in advance
there is an option name “Ignore Self AIL” available in the Interlinks -> Options -> AIL which allows to not apply the autolinks which have as a target the post where they should be applied. This option has been added on version 1.15
Hello.. has this been updated to include support for keywords in custom fields? I need this to work for custom fields as that is where my keywords that I would want to link to are imported… this is an idx/rets real estate website and this plugin would be fantastic if it supported it..
I consider your suggestion for future releases but at the moment you can’t apply autolinks on custom fields.
I am connected to a rather large subscriber base that would all find this a worthy addition to the properties plugin we currently employ via another vendor
it is possible to combine the property “Max Number AIL” with a new feature property “Number Words”.
“Max Number AIL” = “1” and
“Number Words” = 500
Result: in the post every 500 words a link is created for the keyword if the keyword is there
thank you, I saved your suggestion for future updates like this:
I can’t guarantee or give you a release date at the moment, but these two options will be certainly considered.
