Nice Work and Works Well… A very easy 5 star rating.
Just 2 suggestions/items I would like to see.
- On the editor I would like to see an option to upload any image into the tool; which leads to item two.
- I understand with item one; you’d then need a simple user login. A simple one that’s free to all can be found here.

I’m not sure if I understood you correctly. You can use any image you want, you just need to place it in the images folder. Why would you like an image uploader for that? Please explain.

Yes, I understand… Don’t get me wrong it is that simple… Just would be nice to have a completely full-fledged online builder; password-protected; where you just upload the image and get the complete code.
You could even output the <head></head> sections in the output code and then simply cut—n-paste everything right into your page.
I tend-to (As a webmaster) look for items such as this; and, if not password-protected; I add the protection myself. Then, I upload the tools/generators/editors etc., for a kind of right-at-hand toolbox.
However, like I said before; there really is nothing wrong with the way it is… this comment was just sort of a wish list is all… and who knows; your sales may make it worth-while.
In either-case; you did a great job and for $8.00; it’s a real bargain!

No sooner had I suggested something that when I came back for another look, it was implimented in the previews.

What would be really cool, is to convert this into an application that generates a line of js code, that users can embed on their website.
Various widgets etc
So:- User regsiters and logs in
- User uploads image to canvas
- User creates the hotspots
- User selects widget size, and saves
- Script Code ( as small as possible ) gets generated as cut and paste for user to plonk on their website
- The widget they made is recorded to database
- User can return and edit their widget online, without having to update the script on their website
If this and the other features are dooable, give me a shout.. I may well be interested in hiring you to do this as a one off project
That’s doable, but I don’t think it’s worth the effort. We are talking about fully featured and blown up web app here. User management, payment gateways, hosting and support and a lot of development time.
Even if I’m wrong, I still don’t do client work at the moment, sorry.

Nice one, I like it too.
Would be nice to drag and drop an image onto the canvas too. Be much quicker, and users coud easiy define image path when the code gets generated.
Or give details they need to upload image to folder/images/ etc.

I’m having a small problem using builder w/ google chrome. I can’t move points and create rectangular areas. However I can do on the web at http://nikolaydyankovdesign.com/wp-content/themes/nikolaydyankovdesign/demos/hotspot-map/builder/builder.html I tried to download source files to try locally and still not working, but works good with Internet Explorer and Firefox.

can the background color of the popup be changed. Does it allow links? Can the pop up contain images or video? Does this work on images only or text? What kind of images?
