We seem to have found a workaround everyone: After saving new entries or updates to your map, make sure you DO NOT SAVE AGAIN before you have re-opened the Editor tab. After every reload of the page make sure you open that Editor tab and have all pins loaded to cache. After that you may switch to the other tabs, update any information there and hit save again without damage to your map data.

Can anyone confirm this works?

I’m waiting to purchase.

Has the issue been resolved?

Ridiculous lack of support even via your website.

Only been 3 days of waiting for us so far, but yeah, not much support here. That’s even more annoying, since all of us seem to have the same problem. This bug with the vanishing entries is MAJOR and makes the plugin pretty much useless!

Can anyone confirm if it’s related to the latest Wordpress updates, or is that just an assumption?

Cheers Daniel

Hey Steve53390, links are working for me when placed in regular html format

Agreed this plugin would be amazing if only we could get some simple support! 16 days and I still haven’t received a response. I’m going to Odesk to have someone fix it because I really want the functionality

Your plugin is SOOOOOOOOO perfect bro! Please help us out with this issue of our time and progress going down the drain when our maps disappear. :-(

If you aren’t gonna reply or if you cant fix this, I am gonna have to ask Envato for a refund for the second time on this plugin. I did it once before because of the same issue. But I saw that you came out with new updates and I needed it, so I bought it again…. but clearly it never fixed the issue.

Please help us out man and atleast reply?

Hi Nikolay!

This is great work and exactly what I’ve been looking for/trying to build/ wanting for a few years. Top to bottom this is excellent- I am curious though if it is possible to animate the hotspot in its inactive state.

In other words, have the hotspots flash or blink when there is no interaction so that it draws the users attention. My implementation of this plugin would be very subtle so I need to be able to draw the user to interact with the hotspot. Is this possible?

Cheers,

Mensah

I am trying to add a hyperlink to my comments. Does anyone know how to do this as I am unable to download the documentation from the plugin website and it doesn’t work. This was reported to the author some time ago and hasn’t been updated. Must admit I am extremely disappointed with this purchase so far.

CRAP!!! I am having the exact same issue with others. It works for a while and then when you go back to edit it and save it all disappears!!! We keep losing a ridiculous amount of time and effort and cant remember half the content we added! Please help? My client is getting so upset. :-(

Nope, DOES NOT WORK WITH 3.5 I should have looked before I bought!

I asked this question in the forum but after a few days have still not got an answer.

Does anyone know if this will work with WP 3.5?

Thanks

Andrew

There are issues with this plugin in IE. If I run IE 9, the pop-ups work fine, but when I click on the hotspot, it sends me to the Hotspot Map admin options. if I run in compatibility mode, the pop-up don’t show up at all, but the hotspots are still clickable.

Also, if I use certain HTML/CSS in the content, it doesn’t render correctly (for all browsers). For instance, if I use a <span /> tag around text and style it to a different color, everything within the span tag gets put on its own line, nothing before it, nothing after it. I don’t want that, it should be inline with the rest of the text. Also, if a make a link out of text using <a href=""></a> it shows up fine for Chrome/Firefox, but in IE it is an empty pop-up.

Hey, I can’t save my work Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /.../.../.../wp-content/plugins/hotspot-map/hotspot_map.php on line 446

Can you help me please

Hi Nicky – I am still waiting for an answer about this plugin. Will it work for Wordpress version 3.5+?? Also, does it work for sites that auto-render to mobile/ipad?

How can i get the hotspots to lock on an image and scale with it? right now if the window is smaller than image or if window is resized then hotspots move. Any help would be great thanks.

Images worked fine until late yesterday. Now they do not show in the popups. I can find where the opacity in the CSS is set to “0” using Firebug but I can’t find the correct style sheet to change it. If I change the opacity to 100 in the Firebug “Style” window the image shows as expected. According to Firebug the CSS is:

element.style { border-width: 0; height: auto; opacity: 0; width: auto;

The test page is at: http://dev6.ravecommunications.com/floorplan-hotspot-test/

What needs to be done to correct this? Thanks.

Michael

The opacity: 0 is hardcoded in the HTML, it’s not in a stylesheet. What you can do is set somewhere

<yourimgselector> {opacity: 1 !important;}

But be careful not to break anything else, because that opacity might be needed by another plugin.

The conflicting plugin was “Advanced lazy load”. I deactivated it and Hotspot Map works fine now. Thanks for your help.

Question Before I Buy: does the plugin work in Wordpress 3.5XX ? Also, if the wordpress theme auto-renders the site for mobile, does the plugin work?
