Need to know how to update the product on wordpress ?

There are a couple of ways. You can uninstall the current version and upload the new version. Your data will stay there.

and what would be the other way? you mentioned ” a couple of ways” ?

The other way would be to delete the actual folder of the plugin in wp-content/plugins/ and upload the new version.

In my previous comment I was taking about installing and uninstalling from your dashboard.

Cheers

Thanks for updating the plugin! :D

Hi Nickys, great plugin.

You mention on the update log that the most recent version let’s us change the color of the rectangle. Where can I find this option? If it’s still not available, could guide me step by step on how to changed it using CSS?

Thanks

The option is called “Tint Color” and is right above “Tooltip Width”.

Hi there, The plugin is not saving the hotspots, is it a permission issue? we are running Wordpress V3.9.2

Hi, can you submit a ticket to webcraft.cc and give me wp-admin access so I can see what’s going on? Thanks.

Hi, is there an option to set the with and hight of the mapped picture???

Yep, there is an option.

where i cant see / find this

When you are inserting the image from the Media Library you can click the “Edit Image” button and specify a size for the image and even crop it.

You also have an option to make the widget responsive – meaning it will be as wide as it’s parent element. This is done from the “Settings” tab in the plugin options.

I installed the plugin, but I get the error “Uncaught TypeError: undefined is not a function” from this function: (I bolded the lined that throws the error)
(function($, undefined) {
$(document).ready(function() {
$(’#hotspot-7102’).hotspot({
‘show_on’ : “mouseover”,
‘responsive’ : “on”,
});
});
})(jQuery);

Any thoughts?

That means the .js file is not being included in the theme. Please submit a ticket here http://webcraft.cc/support.php so I can assist you further. Thanks!

Does it work on mobile? What about touch?

It’s fully responsive and touch events are also supported.

I get the following error message with the latest version (1.0.7):

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[’ in /... /wp-content/plugins/hotspot-map/hotspot_map.php on line 200

Can you help?

Thank you!

Yes, I already submitted a new version and it should be live in a few hours.

Great. Thanks!

this works on WP 4.0. great plugin!

OK!

This doesn’t work if you have a responsive theme whit Visual Composer.

Sorry, I can’t guarantee compatibility with every third-party theme and plugin out there.

Hi, there. I can’t installe the plugin.

That’s very weird. Are you uploading the correct zip? I’ve never seen this error before.

Your sample site is not responsive so I can not tell if this would work on all devices or just get piled on top of each other like other similar products do.

I need something that works on all devices, thanks.

hmm, I am getting a broken image when I try uploading an image. I have to manually enter a URL. And even then the shortcode does not work.

Hi, can you send me an email with the login details for your site? I need to test it live so I can see what’s going on.

Hi I just bought this plugin and it’s not doing what the demo said it would do. It said “Using the editor you can create four different types of spots – a simple circular “spot” with fixed width and height, a rectangular one for which you choose the dimensions, or an invisible version of each one.”

I can only choose the circular spot with fixed dimensions. I really need the rectangular spot where I can choose the dimensions.

Also, I’d like to be able to change the color of the popover from black to another color. is it only black available?

If this is not possible, can I have a refund?

You can create a rectangle spot by clicking and dragging on the image. Changing the color of the popup is not built into the plugin, you have to use a little CSS for that.

Cheers

OK, thanks, that was a little confusing but now it’s clear. Thanks. I am looking for the CSS file to change the color. Can you tell me specifically which CSS file I need to edit. The plugin shows all the following files associated with it:

hotspot-map/hotspot_map.php hotspot-map/css/hotspot.css hotspot-map/css/font-awesome.css hotspot-map/css/admin.css hotspot-map/css/hotspot.editor.css hotspot-map/js/admin.js hotspot-map/js/jquery.js hotspot-map/js/hotspot.editor.js hotspot-map/js/hotspot.js

Thanks, Paul Pollard

hotspot.css is what you need. Search for ”.hs-rect.visible .hs-spot-shape” – that’s the element you want to style.

Is this compatible with wordpress 4.0

Yes, it has been tested with WP 4.0. Are you having issues? I checked out your website.

Hi,

I would like it to be fully responsive. It is not responding well on iphone portrait mode. It seems to work ok in landscape mode on iphone. Is there something I can do to get it to respond properly in portrait mode on iphone? http://www.webinformation.com/restorative/

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

Do you know if there is capability to zoom in on the image when clicking the hotspot so the information for the hotspot has a detail image to go with it?

This is done at this example website : http://content.webcollage.net/apps/cs/mini-site/walgreens/module/drivemedical/wcpc/1394643325064/tab/demo-ed18b6ff?suppress-site-prefs=&enable-reporting=true&from-pp=&wc-target=&showtabs=&channel-product-id=prod6169730#tfc2c559c=

thanks!

No, the script in it’s current form can’t do that without modification.

Hi, Is it possible to put numbers in the circles for the hotspot so you have like 1,2,3 etc for instance if you have a map with different sights?

Hi, it’s not possible without modification.

Have you already (or planning to) abandon support for this plugin – as you did with some others?

Hello Nicky, where can I change the spot to the circle one as shown in the preview? I´ve searched it everywhere but cannot find this option.. Thx
