I noticed that the plugin currently does not provide an option for users to selectively accept or reject cookies based on categories (e.g., essential, analytics, marketing). As per GDPR requirements in the EU, users must be able to give granular consent, meaning they should have the ability to opt in or out of different cookie categories.
At the moment, the plugin only seems to offer an “all-or-nothing” approach for cookie consent, which might not fully comply with GDPR regulations.
Could you please clarify:
Is there a way to implement category-based consent using this plugin? If not, are there any plans to add this functionality in the future? Do you have any recommended workarounds to address this issue in the meantime? Looking forward to your response, as ensuring compliance is critical for my website.

I tested your website from my IP address (I am in the EU right now), and the popup was showing for me.
Afterwards, I switched to using a proxy from Canada – as a result the popup was not showing any more on your website.
Can you tell me, please, how did you test the plugin (from what countries), so you saw that it is not working correctly? Also, please test it again, because I made some config changes to it.

Thank you for the testing, I tested from Macedonia, and it shows up in Macedonia, when I change to US it does not shows. Also I noticed that if I even click on accept or deny, when I open some post it shows again. Please check that out to.

I think that this is the correct behavior – to show in Macedonia and not show from the US – it will show only to visitors from the EU.
Regarding the the duplicate showing issue, please check this issue again and let me know if this happens again. If yes, please let me know how to reproduce it.

Hi, The Macedonia is not in EU, so could that be changed to shows only in EU countries. Also the duplicate showing issue is present, when I click accept, open post and go back to front page it shows again. Also noticed that before clicking on any button the cookies are active.

Yes, thank you for reporting the issue with Macedonia. I updated the plugin and made it to not show the popup for visitors from Macedonia. Please check and let me know if it works correctly now.
Regarding the duplicate issue, please don’t use the browser’s ‘back’ button – because it loads a cached version of the website (it displays the exact same thing as it displayed before). So, please return to the main site (from individual posts), by clicking a link that leads to the main site – in this way, the popup should not show again.

Hi, just tested, cleared all cache, the same it shows in Macedonia, also I don’t click on back, a click on home and the notice shows again. I did not get the answer for “before clicking on any button the cookies are active”.

Yes, I managed to reproduced the issue of multiple popup displaying. It seems that it is caused by the caching plugin you are using. I temporary disabled it and now, the popup is not showing twice per visitor. Can you keep the caching plugin disabled? it seems that it is not compatible with my plugin.
Also, sorry but I overlooked your reporting of cookies not being blocked on your website. Can you tell me, please, how are you testing this?

Hi I am using W3 total cache since is the best and I get max speed on the site, any workaround? I am testing it on Adsense and Google analytics, they they suppose to be blocked until the permission is given.

Now that I think better on this, I don’t think that this kind of caching plugins will work with my plugin, because they serve static pages to the users. My plugin needs to run also some PHP in the background, for it to decide if it should show the popup or not for the user. And the running of PHP code is disabled by caching plugins…
However, I will ask some friends about this, but I don’t think that these two plugins are compatible.

Are you sure you updated the plugin to the latest version (v1.2.2)?
I know that in the latest version, the country list for which the popup should appear is the following:

The plugin respect the gdpr cookie Law ? Enable user to select which type of cookie they accept or not ? I just mean the plugin will claim it isn’t tested with newer wordpress versions which is going to put off potential customers. Essentially if I launched a similar plugin tomorrow it would outsell yours on the fact its new alone
we’re going to buy this but my boss was instantly put off at the fact its a premium plugin which hasnt been updated in a long time
Well, it was tested with the newest WP versions and it worked and did not require updates.

Hello! I did not test my plugin with WPML, because I did not acquired the WPML translation plugin so far. I tried to search the web for a free version, but did not find one, so I cannot test it. As far as I know, WPML will work just fine with this plugin, because WPML advertises himself as being fully compatible with every plugin on the market.
