Hi, currently the plugin is not letting me view any doctype. Both of the docs I put there are uploaded to the website and are small sized.

I have checked the link. It looks like URL of the document is wrongly printed within the embed code. Please change the URL from relative URL to absolute URL.
Edit the page and replace the URL in shortcodeurl="wp-content/uploads/2015/07/POWERPOINT.pptx"
with
url="http://desmond.mediafrontier.ch/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/POWERPOINT.pptx"
This should fix the issue. Please try it and let me know.

The viewers can handle files of a limited size only (Maximum 8MB for Google Docs Viewer and 10MB for Microsoft Office Online). Try your best to keep the documents under 5MB. If you have a larger file you want to embed in your website, try uploading it to your Google Drive or Box.com account and embed directly from there.

1. Paid version allows you to embed files directly from your Dropbox, Google Drive and Box.com accounts using its file picker.
2. Embedding files from the cloud will save you bandwidth and loads faster than self hosted documents.

Hi,
Embed Any Document makes use of the cloud services Google Docs Viewer and Microsoft Office Online to embed and display documents easily in a WordPress website. Unfortunately we do not have privilege to alter any features and options that comes by default with the viewers, including the download button.
But there is an alternate solution.
1. Create a free Box.com Account
2. Upload your file
3. Click on Share option (Screenshot 1)
4. Disable ‘Allow downloading’ option (Screenshot 2) and close the popup.
5. Go back to your Wordpress Admin and Choose Box.com from the EAD Add Document Popup
6. From the Box.com file picker, choose your document and embed it.
The file should work like this – http://dev.awsm.in/innovations/box-com-power-point-embed/
The embed will not have a download option.

Hi just a note regarding the video training for the google drive guide, i was getting an error when i was trying to add a document & it happens right after i accept the app connect popup for the google drive it then comes up with “The API developer key is invalid.”.
Following the video tutorial i removed the www. from the Referrers part in the google developer console > public api > credentials but i eventually worked out this was causing the error because as soon as i added it, it was working.

Is it possible to preview large pdf files 90 MB for example, because i have uploaded somehow in wordpress throw ftp, but couldn’t preview with your plugin.
Also i’m using free version. Will this happen in plus version if i upload it from dropbox?

Apologies for the late response from our side. 90MB file in Dropbox probably won’t work with Google Viewer or Microsoft Online Viewer. You can upload it to your Google Drive or a free Box.com account for embedding larger files.

Hello, I have question. You can set max page of file guest can view. If guest, only can view 5 page first, If view full request login.
- Is the embedded document responsive?

The plugin looks great. It’s possible to just automatically detect any .pdf or other file links and embed it? For example my client have his own file on his server, and he want to embed it in my site. He just enter the link www.mysite.com/catalog.pdf (without uploading it anywhere)

Yes, it auto detects file types.
In article, when I just type something like mysite.com/1.pdf it will be automatically embedded?
You will have to use the shortcode. It won’t automatically embed files.
Example:[embeddoc url="http://awsm.in/file.pdf" ]
Can i prevent people to copy the text of the files?
Unfortunately, you can’t. These are default features comes with the third party services Google Docs Viewer and Microsoft Office Online. We cannot alter their basic features.

Currently the plugin does not have an option to set a default viewer. We will consider adding an option in our next update. Files are not editable when viewing on the embedded viewer.

How do i do that?
I saw that when i click on Open in a News Window, it shows me Microsoft page.
I cannot let no logged people see my files. the files are in PrivateContect Pages.

Thanks for purchasing the plugin.
Technically, the files are hosted in our server only. We use Google and Microsoft services to convert the document to an embeddable format. Only the people who have access to the document URL will be able to access documents. Hope it works for you.

The Embed always will be hosted in Google?
Does it always appear responsively, even when they are inside em Visual Composer Tab, see image, you will see Tabs, and see that the PDF inside does not fit the space: Example.
