To install this module, download the latest version from codecanyon. Copy from the new one and replace those files to your existing running version 3.4 :
  • application/controllers/admin.php
  • application/views/backend/admin/system_settings.php

How to update to Ekattor School Management System version 3.3 for previous buyers?

Upgrading to version 3.3 needs re-installation for previous version buyers. However you won’t loose your old data. Follow these steps :

  • Keep backup of all the tables of previous database from your phpmyadmin
  • Replace the previous files and asset folder with the latest version’s files downloaded from your codecanyon account.
  • Import the latest sql file uploads/install.sql to your phpmyadmin
  • Now save your db configuration to your application/config/database.php file

You will now see the new version 3.3

How to update from version 2.0 to version 3.0?

Upgrading to version 3.0 needs re-installation for previous version buyers as the total software is re-coded for updated libraries. However you won’t loose your old data. Follow these steps :

  • Keep backup of all the tables of previous database from your phpmyadmin except the `settings` table, as all new settings are required for the new version 3.0
  • Reinstall the newly downloaded script from codecanyon in your previous server.
  • Restore your just backed up sql file to phpmyadmin again.

You will get all your old data in new software.

How to install the software manually?

Follow these steps :

- Open file application/config/database.php. Edit the configuration of database and provide your server database info and save it :
$db['default']['hostname'] = 'db_hname';
$db['default']['username'] = 'db_uname';
$db['default']['password'] = 'db_password';
$db['default']['database'] = 'db_name';
- Open the file application/config/routes.php, change the default_controller from install to login
$route['default_controller'] = "install";
change it to 
$route['default_controller'] = "login";

- Import the install.sql file given in uploads folder to your database via phpmyadmin

- Go to your database via phpmyadmin, open `settings` table. Edit the purchase code and buyer `description` field to yours one, and save it
