The comma should work without problems, to use apostrophe please try lsquo entity, check the list on this table: https://www.degraeve.com/reference/specialcharacters.php If you will need more help, you need to extend the support and create a topic on our support forum. Thank you!
Hi! I like yr tooltip, just have some questions it’s can automatic show on menu when visitor open website at first time?
Thanks
Hi,
You can set tooltips to be displayed for all the links on the site or for all specified texts – that are 2 global available options. If you would like to configure specific tooltips outside of the pages/posts content then you will need to put there tooltip shortcode somehow.
Thanks! I’ll buy your nice tooltips for excite testing!
You’re welcome and thank you as well!
Hi, I’m after something where viewers can hover over a link ( a vertical navigation that has 10 links) and it will show a block of text to the right hand side of these links (eg each link is a vegetable name and to the right of the group of links it shows information about those vegetables). Will your system do this? I need it to be without any colour background etc.

I like the beautiful solution and implementation. Less is more.
After testing it in a responsive screen sized mobile, the tooltip sometimes partly hides because of the width of the screen and the positioning of the tooltip. This for instance with links that show more on the right side of a text.
Question: Can you build in a responsiveness so that it will take this into account?
Sadly it is not working on our website: When creating a new post and clicking on the generate tooltip button, it gives a pop-up with a 404 message. And when I enable the two auto enable boolean options (at the top of the config), it completely breaks our Divi 3 theme.

Hi does your styles of tooltip include a speech bubble version, and to confirm the tooltip will appear once you hoover over an image and the tooltip can include an image? Many thanks
Hi,
Please check demo page here: http://quanticalabs.com/wp_plugins/css3-tooltips/ you will find there ‘Support For Images’ section where you can test the images included inside tooltip. Basically you can create a tooltip for any element also on the image, you can find example with tooltip for image at the bottom of the demo page ‘Tooltip maintain a constant position’ section.
Hello Quantica Labs, I am screening some tooltip plugins for a website I’m building. Will this plugin be usable on a set of product images to list specific data, like product traits, in a factbox? What I’m looking for specifically is an row break option, so I can list height, length, weight etc nicely on separate rows. Is this doable with your plugin? Thanks ahead, /Chris
Hello,
Yes, you can use html code in tooltip content, so you will be able to make line breaks there.
I have been unable to leave a request for support at your support forums. I am registered and unable to leave a comment. I purchased a theme from you years ago and it’s the only forum I can get to – even though I just bought this plugin. How am I supposed to get to the forum?
This plugin does not work with my site. I get the pop up in the text editor but nothing happens when you save it.
Please tell me how I can either get my money back or get your help.
Please verify your purchase here if you already have an account on the forum: http://support.quanticalabs.com/account/verify_purchase/ Then you can create new topic here: http://support.quanticalabs.com/forum/create_topic/62/css3-tooltips-for-wordpress
Hi sir, Please, I have a title of a button that is content a symbol / like: 1 GB – 549 $/day , is your plugin working with this type of the content to display a poup window when i hover of the button?
Hi,
Yes, basically you can create tooltip for any content.
Hi sir, Please, I want to create four buttons, where when i hover (mouse over) on any button then the popup window will be display with some text and button. How can i do that? is that possible with your plugin?
Hi,
Yes, this is possible, you can use html code in the tooltip, so you can put there a button.
Thanks for your answer, I used another plugin but it is not working with the divi builder, when i created a button. is your plugin working with the divi builder?
It should works if you can use shortcodes with the builder, then there shouldn’t be any issues. If you will have some, please let us know and we’ll help you.
Errors after activating plugin;
I get this error;Notice: wp_enqueue_script was called incorrectly. Scripts and styles should not be registered or enqueued until the wp_enqueue_scripts, admin_enqueue_scripts, or login_enqueue_scripts hooks. Please see Debugging in WordPress for more information.
Can you help me?
Never mind i forgot my WP_DEBUG was set to true and i am using an older WP (4.6.5) here
Thank you for an update on that!
Hello. I’m interested in your plugin but want to really know how it works.
I want to use it to comment on sections of posts that appear in my WordPress Editor. Having a frontend option in which one can add tooltips would also be fantastic.
So for example: (Note tooltip comments in [brackets] below)
CSS3 Tooltips For WordPress is a lightweight, easy-to-use tooltips plugin for WordPress.
It’s based on pure CSS3 and comes loaded with 50 predefined CSS3 styles, 10 different tooltip positions, optional tooltip headers, support for images and videos, adjustable delay, notification icons, tooltips On Hover over element and On Click and support for mobile devices. Plugin comes with shortcode generator and global settings with nice feature to display CSS3 Tooltips for all links by default. [Having used it, I definitely can confirm that it is one of the best, if not the best tooltip in the market, so go buy it]
Is this how it works? Please elaborate, so I’ll know if it fits my requirements.
Thank you.
JD
Hello,
I’ll paste the example of use:
[css3_tooltip content='This tooltip is positioned above a hovered item.' position='top' width='180px' style='style_1' delay='0' cursor='pointer' event='hover' ]Some text over which the tooltip will be displayed[/css3_tooltip]
Hmm…..I’m not really sure about the above “html” or code. Wouldn’t be nice IF you could have a way of integrating your plugin to work as an extension of the WP Editor so that all I have to do is: 1. Go to text within WP Editor 2. Highlight text i want to use with tooltip 3. Click a button that is part of WP Editor that triggers your plugin’s features/functions and gives me its 50 options to choose from 4. I select the option, add my comments and it applies to the highlighted text 5. I check frontend and voila, the tooltip displays with the new comments.
I don’t think users want to have too much coding work generally. My 2 cents on the topic. Thank you. JD
Yes, it works in that way
I’ve just gave you the output code of the user friendly configurator.
Please check this instructional video: http://www.screenr.com/OsdN
Thank you. It seems it will work for my purpose. I want to use it to make comments in articles on my site. Can I add tooltip to every post or article on my site and are the tooltips content independent and wont affect each other. Some tooltip plugins are like definitions/glossary and not good because at the end one content is mistakenly used for a different word/phrases. Hope this does not apply to your plugin. Thank you. JD
Yes, you can use tooltips on every post/page and there won’t be any conflicts between them. The plugin should works well for making comments in articles.
Hi, can you tell me if it is possible to use this to display a video tooltip on a woocommerce item in the main shop category page?
Hi,
You’ll need to edit WooCommerce template or use some action hook to do that. Tooltips are using shortcodes, so you need to add shortcode in appropriate place to display the tooltip.
okay great thanks
You’re welcome!
Can I add tooltips to gravity form field labels?
If you’re able to insert tooltip shortcode on your label in form editor, then yes – you can add tooltips.
Hello,
I am looking for a tooltip plugin. Could you explain why yours is based “On Pure CSS3 Code” (and not other techniques)?
What is the difference in comparison with other tooltip plugins, please? What are the benefits?
(I am not coder, need your clear explanation to take a decision).
Thank you.
Hello,
It will works and load faster as it is not using images and javascript code. It will also looks better on retina screens than tooltips which are using images as backgrounds.
Thank you.
Your last version was on 2 June 16.
When you will publish your next version, approximatively?
And what will be the main changes in the next version, please?
Thank you in advance for your precisions (that will help us to take a good decision).
For now plugin works well and we don’t have any bug reports, so we’re not working on the new version. If there will be in the future some compatibility issues with the new WP version for example or some bug reports, then we’ll prepare an update.
Your plugin will load faster, it is a good point indeed.
But my most important concern is: Will the tooltips created by your plugin have a positive influence on SEO?
And if this is the case, are there some ways of using (the plugin) so that such SEO effect could be maximized?
Thank you.
Hello,
I have to ask you for those questions, because I already bought a tooltip plugin (Tooltipy, http://www.tooltipy.com), it worked very well, but my site loaded slower
Do you think that your plugin is better than Tooltipy? (it uses jQuery, not CSS3).
And about SEO effect, your plugin has a positive influence on SEO?
Thank you in advance for your explanation.
Hello,
Yes, my plugin is pretty fast, you can see that on live preview: http://quanticalabs.com/wp_plugins/css3-tooltips/ It will be also faster than any plugin which is using jQuery/javascript.
About SEO – all phrases that you’ll include in tooltip will be visible for the search engines, so yes – it will have a positive influence on SEO.
Thank you.
Is there a way to create some glossaries, lexicons with your plugin, please?
Could you give me some example so I’ll be able to imagine what would you like to do?
1. Yes, here is an example from the competitor I showed you:
http://www.tooltipy.com/glossary/
2. That plugin also allows to migrate, export, import tooltips from one website to another:
http://www.tooltipy.com/tooltipy-faq/
Adding those features to your (awesome) plugin will increase considerably its value, I am sure
Thank you.
1. My plugin is providing only tooltips for different types of content, the glossary functionality is not available. You can check some examples on the demo page: http://quanticalabs.com/wp_plugins/css3-tooltips/
2. The plugin is using shortcodes, so after you’ll import/export your pages/posts between different sites on which you’ve the tooltips plugin installed, the tooltips will works. So such an import/export is possible.
posting a url in the tooltip messes the whole thing. is there any chance i can do this in the future?
It’s possible to use a link. Please create new topic on our Support Forum and our support team will help you with that.
Is it possible to set the styled tooltip in the header menu when I set this specific css class in the menu backend?
You’ll need to prepare custom menu walker. With default menu structure it is not possible. We can prepare such a solution for you as a custom job. Please contact us via contact form if you’ll be interested.
Hi, Great plugin. Can you make the short-code creator available for Text Editor as well? Currently it is available only when I enable the Visual Editor. I never use Visual Editor as it would mess up my special styling.
Can you please add the short-code creator button for Text Editor?
Thanks.
Hi,
Thank you! No, we’re not planning to add text mode editor.
So what’s the solution to my problem then? I never enable Visual Editor – every time I want to use it, I have to switch back & forth and it will mess up my styling and special formatting. So not a ideal solution.
At least can you make it configurable at the global setting level (Enable Short-Code Creator for Texts Editor? – Check box) to enable/disable it?
By default, you can keep it disabled for everyone and user like me can enable it as needed.
Let me know.
You can create some test page and configure the tooltip on it, then you can copy the shortcode and paste it to your target page content.
Never mind – I adjusted the plugin code to do exactly what I wanted to expose a button for text editor with a configuration (enable/disable) at the settings page. I’m good now.
Thank you for an update on that!
Hi,
does the plugin support showing tooltips also in the admin area of WordPress (wp-admin) or only in the generated pages of the website (frontend)?
Kind Regards,
diffgreen
Hi,
Only in the frontend.
Hi great work- does this support shortcodes and raw html? I need to embed a responsive (in size) and dynamic (conditional logic) form inside of a tooltip. Is this possible with your plugin? Thanks!
Hi,
Thank you! Yes, it support shortcodes and raw html (Allowed HTML tags: <em>, <b>, <i>, <img>, <iframe> ,<span> ,<a>).
Ok. No divs?
Only inline elements are supported, with divs you may experience some conflicts.
