I having a similar Ajax problem as a previous customer 2 months ago. If you look at my website www.felicefawn.com/blog, when you click the “Comments” button for your plugin, it seems to refresh the page as if Ajax is not working correctly.
I have tried various combinations of options to do with including jQuery and i have deactivated all current plugins in case there is a conflict, manually placing the php script where i want the comments to be/using the auto placed comments, but nothing seems to help.
Any help or guidance would be really appreciated. xo
Just an update. I’ve found that it works on static pages such as http://www.felicefawn.com/blog/2013/04/, but not on the home page. Thanks x

Hi! I can’t seem to find an email from you, which address did you use? Just to update, while I was waiting for a reply I did some very minor changes to the wordpress blog (to be specific, I implemented a new archive page, I made NO changes to the index.php file) and found that the comments now works on the main page. This is great! However, it does not work on individual posts still.
To replicate the problem, please visit http://www.felicefawn.com/blog/killstar-clothing/ for example, clicking comments does not work.

Hi Max,
I bought your awesome plugin last night. It works fine on regular Wordpress themes. My custom WP Theme loads the older posts through AJAX (like Youtube’s “Load More” button). So when the older post gets loaded into the screen, the Comment’s “Send” button doesn’t seem to trigger the AJAX code. Instead the whole page gets submitted. Also On IE9, when the page gets loaded and the SAIC is trying to load the comment, I get a message “Busted” on every post.
One last thing, could you please let know where the Like/Dislikes are stored? I would like to use this data to show top comments

Also I just noticed the Pagination is working only when I add multiple comments at a time. But once I refresh the page, the Pagination option is not appearing anymore. It says there are “15 comments”, but only shows first 10 comments. Paginatoon option is not appearing, I reset the option too. This happening on default Wordpress templates.

Hi, apologies for the delay. I’ve tested the plugin on the page as you to created and operates properly, but in your main site, I see that the continuous problem, and I think that it is due to your website to load content via AJAX.
I’m working to solve that problem.

You are inserting the comments using shortcodes or automatically
In the option “Number maximum of comments to load” verify that you have a different value of 5
Add a value 30 or 40

Presales question: 1. I have installed the lite version of the plugin for testing on http://beta.geraldferreira.com/news/ the comments does now show when clicking on the comments – it looks like the style is using inline and not expanding correctly.
2. I am using masonry, and when I scroll down to the next 10 posts, when I click on comments it reloads the page instead of just loading the comments into ajax.

Hello.
Comments are not added in a direct way. It gives the impression that it does but it is not. Try to reload the page and you will see that the comment is not displayed. That is why the comments must be approved.
To remove the comment form you have to remove <?php comments_template(); ?> from your wordpress template files.

1) No, it does not replace the comment form of your current theme.
2) Everything works as it does wordpress. This uses the same system wordpress, you can moderate the same way you are doing now.

Hi, I will answer your questions: 1.- Yes, everything works as it does wordpress, not create new tables or anything. 2.- Yes, this works with custom post type. 3.- Do not quite understand what you mean. But I think they can show you the list of comments. You can see the preview. I think it does what you want.

For now, machine translation is not available. The only way to translate it is to edit the source code.
Is there a way to when someone post a comment with line breaks, the plugin override then as “br” codes? I know that i have to put the br to break lines, but can’t that be done by the plugin? My users dont do this and i’m getting a lot of unformated comments.
Hi, yes indeed you have to add “br” to break the line. For now it is not possible to do it automatically.

1. Can you make it so we can edit the colour style of the comment box? Some of our sites don’t go with the default, golden, dark or facebook styles

For now only are available four styles, but you are free to edit the style sheet and customize the plugin to be integrated better with your site

Hello, if your want to customize the form to insert comments, can do so by editing the function called get_comment_form_SAIC () inside saic-functions.php file.
From there you can alter aspects of the design, add or modify divs.
I have an update of the plugin where it is not necessary to use the captcha, since I use hidden fields to prevent spam. But I’m still trying, but everything seems to work great.

Is it just me or does anyone else receive comment notifications via email whenever someone posts a comment on the site even though I have the “E-mail me whenever – Anyone posts a comment” notification unticked in the wordpress discussion admin area.
Is this built into the commenting system? If so which file contains the function so I can disable it?

Thanks, although in the mean time is there any chance you could tell me what file of the plugin is responsible for this, is it a built in function in saic-functions.php or something? so I can modify it myself now as I get hundreds of comments daily. I would try hunt it down myself but all the comments are in spanish.
ok, the function is called “ajax_comment_SAIC” and is within the saic-functions.php file
