How does this function on different screen sizes? Do I have to set a display height, or can it ‘auto’ height for the doc to display?

Hi Markmapstone,
By default the embed will have a minimum height value of 500px. You have to set display height if you want it to be longer.

The plugin only let you preview your excel file. You cannot give any inputs to your embedded files.

Hello awsmin,
Plugin is working ok for me except no matter what I set for height it remains the same height. I have not tried switching themes to debug but at the moment that really wouldn’t be an option is there a way to debug what might be causing it to not recognize the height settings?

Please note that height in percentage (%) will not work with embeds. Otherwise it should work just fine. Could you please share the URL?

My embed code has the following yet when the page loads it does appear to be the right size and then once the page is fully loaded the iframe is cut in half.

I can’t share a url because the site is on an intranet but I have uploaded a screen shot. http://providenceri.com/files/embed_test.gif I do have a test site but I would need your IP address due to an under construction plugin. It is doing this same thing on both the live intranet site and my test site. I would just like the iframe to be the height of a page view. I can send you the source code of the page in a private email if that might help.

Is it possible to have the embeded documents show as a list with a “View” butting (link/lightbox) instead of the open iFrame?

I have bought and installed it but on the Viewer drop down it won’t let me select Microsoft Office Online.
Were you trying to embed PDF files? Please note that Microsoft Office Online Viewer supports only Office files. View Documentation
Sorry, my fault. But I’m trying to embed a pdf file and it keeps coming up with “No Preview Available”. I’ve tried various pdfs at various sizes and still the same.
It seems for some reason the google viewer didn’t like the pdfs. Seems to work ok with Dropbox. File is only 561kb
Great plugin for viewing documents! I just bought and installed it. Any chance of getting a file size displayed next to the Download link beneath the embedded document?
Thanks for purchasing the plugin. Unfortunately there is no any option in the plugin to get the file size displayed in a new line. You can achieve this making some minor changes in a plugin file. But you will lose the changes when you update the plugin.

New question: I noticed that ALL documents I have posted in the past and current ones (all of the ones with the lite version, as well as all of the ones with the Pro version, no longer appear – just a big white space where they should be). This just started happening today, 2 days after I purchased, installed, activated and began using pro version. Please help!

There must be a conflict with another plugin you are using. Could you please follow the steps below and send us a screenshot of the error?
1. Open ‘New Post’ page in Chrome
2. Open Chrome Menu > View > Developer > Javascript Console
3. Take a screenshot of the console and send us. (it will look like this)

Right now we do not have an option to restrict file formats. The plugin will allow users to upload all the supporting file formats. (PDF, Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc).

We had been trying to figure out what the issue was. Turned out that the URL structure is not supported my Microsoft Office Online Viewer. The URLs with special characters such as tilde (~) is not supported by Microsoft office online.
Could you please try it with it’s original domain and check if it’s working?

Looks like something is wrong with the document. Could you please try uploading the document to Google Drive and embed from there?
Fantastic plugin. I found one strange bug though. If you are logged into your Box account, and attempt to use this plugin with a Box document inside a modal window, the following is displayed:

Only document file types are supported by this plugin. It cannot embed flash files.
If you have a larger file you want to embed in your website, try uploading it to your Google Drive or Box.com account and embed directly from there.I have a pdf (larger than 10Mb) in my dropbox (not google drive or box.com), how make viewer this file without make a file migration to google / box.

Unfortunately, you do not have any other option but to use Google Drive or Box.com for larger files. Google Docs Viewer by default doesn’t support embedding files larger than 8Mb.
I have a PDF set-up as a form with “fillable” fields. If I embed this document into my site using this plugin, will the fields be ‘active’ and be able to be submitted via the “send” button on the form?
Or will this work for visual documents only?

Hi Rodrickc, The plugin work for preview purpose only. Document embedded cannot accept any input from the visitors.
