Pre-Sale Question:

Will you please provide a completed sample form on how it looks when it is emailed to me?

The email contains the text

“You received a new submission. [the date of submission] for the form [name of form]”

Form entries are not included in the email—users can visit the form, view and export all entries to an excel spreadsheet (see demo site).

Hello. I have just purchased this and couldn’t find any installation guide, as in steps. It seems this products is for pros and not newbies like me. I see a folder which has 3 folders and one readme .html file. what do i do from here. because i thought that i could just create database on phpMyAdmin, and then start installation from my “localhost:8888” but not so because their is not .php file to call. what do i do from here please

Actually I have figured it out myself. However I think you should make the installation guide easier to understand, and step by step guide usually does good.

glad you figured it out. I’ll look into expanding the documentation to add detail. Let me know if you get stuck along the way in getting things going.

Yes I did same hour. And thanks for asking, i just sent you a message on your PM about where i just got stuck. Im sure you won’t LOL at the questions before replying. But it’d be nice if i get a reply right away. Thanking you.

hi

I have the following query regarding form builder plugin .

1. The output after generating form, can only be used on iframe or it’s provide simple html code, which we can store in database and can use anywhere in project.

2. I am using codeigniter framework (php) on my project, is the plugin compatible with the framework or it needs any specific requirement.

3. Is it compatible with bootstrap js or css ?

1. The output after generating a form is only stored in an iframe. This allows for styling and complex logic like validation to work correctly.

2. I have not used codeigniter before, but I am sure with intermediate-level knowledge of PHP programming you can integrate the form builder into any CMS of your choosing.

3. You can integrate it into a page that uses bootstrap or css, I would just manually adjust any conflicting styling after the fact.

can I have 2, 3 or 4 columns layout ? For example, I want to have First Name input text and Last Name input text on the same row. All the demos only have 1 input per row.

I want to know what do you save to the database. Says, I create a form with 2 Text Box. Are you saving whole rendered HTML ? Or are you saving Form 1, row 1 is a Text Box, row 2 is a text box ?

The form builder does not support multiple colums, but you can create this effect by uploading your own custom css as a theme.

Html does not get stored in the database, just field meta data.

hi zeeside, if I purchase your formbuilder, am I allowed to customize to fit my need ? is it easily add/remove inputs ?

you may customize the control as you wish. I would say you would need at least intermediate development knowledge to be able to add input fields. Removing them is much easier.

Bear in mind that customizing the control might cause compatibility issues when new versions are released. I would keep track of all the changes I make so I can add them to subsequent revisions.

I want to buy this component but I need answers to some questions…

1- Is it have database setup on my server or will be saved on remote database? 2- I see in embed code reference to http://edigitsoftware.com/ ... is it where my form will publish or this will be change to my website?

Thanks in advance

I will email you at the address you provided. btw. make sure you restart your server after the php.ini change.

Hello, I’m still able to create form but can’t save any controls on this form… When add any control autosave start to load and never finish… and when open the form again I can’ t find my controls … my php version is 5.4.42 … you can check my project at : http://formbuilder.postrec.com/index.php

and php info on my server at http://formbuilder.postrec.com/phpinfo.php

This is the error you are getting when you try to save forms:

“Call to undefined function mysqli_connect()”

If you cannot enable the mysqli extension by uncommenting it in the .ini file, then it hasn’t been installed on your server and you have to ask your server admin to install it.

See this stackoverflow question for more detail: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/25281467/fatal-error-call-to-undefined-function-mysqli-connect

I just purchased your product and want to ensure I install correctly on my wordpress site. Are all files in the zip folder to be uploaded to the wp-contents folder or public_html? Or elsewhere. Any help would be appreciated!

There’s a readme.html file that breaks down the installation process. This is not a wordpress plugin though, so I doubt just putting it into one of those folders would suffice. A deeper knowledge of WP would be required, and unfortunately that’s not something I specialize in.

Hi there, Ref: http://codecanyon.net/item/drag-n-drop-formbuilder-for-php/10605401

Your project Drag N’ Drop Form-builder for PHP is very useful but i need some customizations.

if you are willing to do that please replay me. then i will send you my full details

regards

what customizations did you have in mind?

Do u have MYSQL Database attached with form ??

Yes. A MySql DB with creation scripts (and update scripts if upgrading from version 1.x) comes standard.

Awesome updates! To anyone considering buying…this form is solid. been using it for quite a while with heavy traffic. If you are looking for a simple “off the shelf” builder, go to Google forms or the like, this is a custom application that offers versatility and the code/functionality is solid. I have over 50 purchases on Envato…I have no direct affiliation with this author…but the support I have received is priceless with this app/author. I HATE authors who have zero support for their offerings (you all know who you are) :)

hello i have a trouble… I have trouble seeing the list of record is ok.. when I click on attachments downloaded but only have a value of 1kb impossible to visualize which is the solution thank you very much

yes dont open… seems not save files in the uploads folder does not find anything in that folder can you send email for send screenshots please faviozea@hotmail.com

Hi, you have to update your settings to be able to save files in your local folders. Go to the file /htdocs/lib/forms-settings.php and update “USE_CLOUD_STORAGE” to “false”

Hello, After installing the script I had the following message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function session_status() in /path/lib/forms-common.php on line 8

Any help would be apreciated.

Regards. Favio.

Hi, sounds like your version of PHP might be older than 5.4. Can you email me at eminencedigitalweb @ gmail.com ? I will send you a modified version of that file to try out.

hello i have a trouble… I have trouble seeing the list of record is ok.. when I click on attachments downloaded but only have a value of 1kb impossible to visualize which is the solution thank you very much

Unable to save form SQLSTATE[42S22]: Column not found: 1054 Unknown column ‘formField.formId’ in ‘where clause’

That this error is due? Thank You

Hi, which version of the zip file do you have? The latest is 1.0.0.7

I just want to say that this script is awesome. There were a couple of things that did not work right away with the first version but were fixed immediately. The support is FIRST CLASS (we all know no matter how great the script is, without support, it sucks) – ALL of my questions and/or issues were solved. Period. I have been using the form for three days not without issues. The great part is the ability to populate a CSV with the submissions. This may not be the most “aesthetic” looking user interface on CodeCanyon, but it works very well. I have actually bought two other form creators off this site over the last few years, and I have to say I am most pleased with this one. Great job on the script…and I will put my rep on the line saying I think it is great if you want something that works and is versatile. – Dennis

Will you consider adding the following to the Tools:

Image – for example to add logo to the form. Columns – for example, I want to add 3 textboxes in a row.

Thanks, Thomas

I could consider adding those two requests to the roadmap. I usually elevate requests based on how often they are made. This is the first time someone has requested adding an image or 3 textboxes in a row. Between being able to upload your own CSS for the finished form and being able to embed the form anywhere you want, do you think you could be able to accommodate those two requests?

I’m not sure about your suggestion. I’m interested in being able to create multiple columns at design mode, not just the generated form. In any case, thanks for listening. If you can’t do it, may be I’ll modify your script, I just not sure how hard it will be, although I’m experience in php.

Hi, in response to your request, images/logos are now available with the form builder.

Not impressed with the demo barely functioning…

Hi, hope the new updates impress you…if even just barely. Hopefully it’s a little more stable now as well.

Can you give a demo on how the receiver sees the form? I need to create a form to get info from my client, the one I currently is very poorly formatted.

On the index page of the demo, you can click on the “view/fill form” next to any form to see what the end user sees. Here’s an example: http://www.edigitsoftware.com//formbuilder/view.php?id=240 (note:old forms are auto-purged from the demo site, so if you are attempting to click this link several days after this reply was posted you will not find it)

zeeside – Sent an email question about installation. Thank you!

maybe we can chat via gmail? Really need help please! Thanks!

Hi. Which email did you send the request to? I’m afraid I haven’t received a support request. You can send your request to eminencedigitalweb @ Gmail. com. You can also post your requests on here. I will typically respond to a request within 24hours of receiving it.

I sent it in reply to our existing email chain. I just sent it again to the address you jsut gave. Thank you..I am in a huge rush, and seem to have huge issues!

whlong, I certainly will. So far, good. I am having a little trouble with getting it to work, but it may be an issue on my part. So far though, the communication and support is GREAT. I will let you know when I get everything working…thanks

jellyfish007 please keep updates as to how this is working. Thinking about purchasing but don’t like being only #2.
