Hi, I have the normal version of the plugin and anything above 10MB in size the pdf won’t show in the viewer however youre still able to download it but just cant view it!

This question was answered in the FAQs section.
The viewers can handle files of a limited size only (Maximum 8MB for Google Docs Viewer and 10MB for Microsoft Office Online). If you have a larger file you want to embed in your website, try uploading it to your Google Drive or Box.com account and embed directly from there.

Hello there, I just bought the plugin and am experiencing issues with a PDF display. Why can I not choose the Microsoft Online Viewer, when inserting from Dropbox?
I guess there must be also issues with the Google Doc Embedder since that also does not display my PDF.

Thanks for purchasing our plugin.
You can choose Microsoft Office Online only for Office documents (Word, Powerpoint & Excel). Office Online does not support PDF files. That’s why you were not able to select it.
Google Docs Viewer should work fine though. Could you please share the URL of your PDF file? We will try it on our side. You can also reach us at ead[at]awsm[dot]in

I am very interested in purchasing your plugin, but need to know if it is feasible to solve my problem.
Today lodge the classes taught by the course within Google Drive, all classes are separated by disciplines. These classes can only be visualisadas, ie students can not open the class outside the site.
On my website, I use an iframe in it and put the link of the class folder, thus the system automatically displays the class and not the files.
I wonder if the plugin could also do the same function? I say then, using the iframe, he’s not getting to be responsive in tables and smartphones, as the computer works perfectly.

Note: Today I’ve been using the iframe to put the lesson to the student watch, and with that, he does not have access to folder but directly to class. The link google placed inside the iframe causes the system to automatically pull the index.html file within the folder has.
What do I need to know if the plugin would do the same function, but without the need for me to create an iframe whole class.

The plugin shows your files hosted in your your cloud account (Google Drive, Dropbox or Box.com) in an iframe. But it currently supports document files only (Word, PPT, Excel and PDF). I figured that your teaching materials are done in Flash. The plugin doesn’t support Flash files right now. But we are working on something that you will be able to use to manage this easily. I will let you know when it is ready.

Note: The system uses flash in some cases, like the iPhone and iPad do not support Flash, it exibide otherwise. Anyway, I’ll wait for that future update to then buy the plugin!

The plugin will only let you preview the document like in the demo link above. Search option inside a document is not supported.
There would be the possibility of PDF displayed stay the same as the manaulslib.com, stitching can customize as would charge

Have couple questions if you don’t mind.
1. Lets say i upload file to Dropbox and embeded via your plugin to the site. What happens if i go and overwrite the file with new version in Dropbox? With same file name. Will it still work or because it is new file, Dropbox treats it as new file?
2. Do you have (if not can you add pls) a shortcode to list all of the documents in one page like a library? Perhaps to make this feature more useful you can assign a category or tag to the file when uploaded and list by category/tag on the page after?

1. I have tried the same workaround in our Dropbox account. The URL remained same of the old document. So I think Dropbox considers it as the same file.
2. Right now we do not have any plans for this feature. But we are definitely considering it. Actually you can already achieve this in WordPress by creating a post type just for documents and list the posts. Please let me know if you need any help in that.

We have only uploaded the files. Not sure why the font is changed.
I investigated similar solutions last week and decided to get this today. However, when I visited your website at awsm.in, it was down because your domain name apparently expired. This caused a lot of images on the related CodeCanyon page to appear broken as well.

Your plugin is awesome and provides a very easy way to post ppts on website and save band widths by using cloud storage. I have few simple doubts …
1) The ” Google Docs Viewer ” and ” Microsoft On Line Viewer ” give the options to download the ppts. ( For eg. The Right lower corner in microsoft viewer ) Is there any way so that Files are Only for On line View . NO DOWNLOAD / NO PRINT .
N.B – Am using box viewer as it does have the option to prevent download. But I want to use the other two viewers more .
2) Will you be planning to Add ” Microsoft One Drive ” so that we can embed ppts from there also. Microsoft One Drive provides large storage space at a very low price.

1. There is no way to disable download/print options in Microsoft Office Online and Google Docs. We do not have privilege to make any alterations in the embed code they provide. So only way to restrict download is to use Box.com and as mentioned earlier in our comment, Box.com files are viewable only using their own viewer.
2. Yes, we have plans to add Microsoft One Drive as an option in the plugin. It will be a free update but as of now we do not have an ETA.
Hi, I purchased the plugin yesterday and have been trying it as per the documents provided by you. I noticed that - 1)Files uploaded in dropbox can be viewed by both GoogleDoc Viewer and Microsoft Online Viewer. 2)Files Uploaded in Box can only be seen by Box Viewer.
3)Files in google drive can only be seen by google drive viewer. There is no option to choose microsof online viewer for a file uploaded in google drive. So, am I missing some thing here ? Can office on line viewer be used for google drive files ?

Unfortunately, you can’t use Office Online for Google Drive or Box.com files.
Dropbox gives us access directly to the files so that we can use Google Drive or Microsoft Office Online to embed the files. Where as Google Drive and Box do not allow that. They have their own viewers to embed the files and do not let us access the files directly.

The license allows you to use the plugin only in one website. You will have to buy again for more websites.
The plugin is great and easy to use. I have 2 questions:
1) I am using a plugin which uses a custom post type. Referring to the snippet you previously mentioned to graffig to enable shortcode to be used, where should I put this snippet?
2) I set the width to 100% and use Google Docs Viewer for a pdf file. The Google Docs Viewer takes up 100% of the screen but the content of the pdf file is only about 60% of the screen width. I can manually zoom the pdf to make it wider. However, is there any way I can preset to zoom the pdf bigger?

Thanks for purchasing our plugin.
1. You don’t have to use the snippet for custom post-types. It should work by default. The snippet you mentioned is used to make it work for custom fields.
2. Unfortunately we do not have any control over the options inside Google Docs Viewer. We cannot preset zoom level.

Could you please elaborate your requirement? Do you want to show document in full screen? Height value 100% won’t work with the embedded documents. You can assign custom height values for each document when you add them though.

Thanks for the detailed document. It would have been a great feature for the plugin. But unfortunately we cannot support it right now because there is no straight-forward way to achieve this. The solutions that worked for us may not work properly in all themes.

Unfortunately the plugin cannot support locally hosted files unless Google Docs Viewer supports it.
Google Docs Viewer is a standalone service by Google to view documents on webpages. The plugin actually integrates the service to WordPress for the users to embed documents effortlessly. For Google Docs Viewer to process document has to be available online. So I do not think this is something plugin will be able to support even in our future releases.

Hi again…. sorry to be a pest. I tried to link the program to the dropbox site and the instructions aren’t simple enough for me to understand.
1. I loaded the api key for the dropbox page I created and saved it in the page.
2. On the dropbox page, it is asking me for the “dropins domain”. I assumed that is the url of my home website, right? When I put that in, and try to use your program, the dropbox button is colored, but when I try to use it, I get an error that says {“error”: “Origin does not match any app domain”}. So what exactly is a “dropins domain”.
maybe make some “idiot proof” stepping stones for people like myself who literally have no clue. I chose your app because it looked really simple to use. And it was until I tried to figure out the way to integrate the dropbox side of it. My guess it probably is easy, but I just don’t understand enough of the lingo to know what to do. So maybe create a “embed any document” for dummies step by step instructions.

Hi, we are sorry that it is causing you trouble again.. But trust me, once the configuration is done, you won’t have to worry about anything. It’s very straight forward.
In dropins URL field you need to enter the domain name without ‘www’ or ‘http://' in which the plugin is installed. It should work.
For example if your site’a URL is http://sample.com, enter just sample.com in the field and add domain. Please try it and let us know if it works for you.

The error is showing up because free version of the plugin is activated. Please deactivate Embed Any Document (Free Version) plugin and try again. It should work.

I would like to request a preloader text or something that indicated that the document is loading. on a slower internet connection, a client browsed away from the page as it was “blank”.
a simple text “Document is loading” or graphic would suffice… just anything else than a blank empty area.
