My request features in admin where you can sort/ pick the movies, TVs & News you want to list first on top ex. 1st.title 2nd.title 3rd.title etc @ example http://mtdb.info/movies , http://mtdb.info/series & http://mtdb.info/news too. For homepage right side “latest news” area should show the news that’s pick to show up first too.
Questions, in homepage areas like “New and Upcoming”, “Top Rated” & “Most Viewed” in admin you have options to search & select what movies to shows up in each thosecategories?

I found a few bugs in demo:
If the actor doesn’t have a photo (for example http://mtdb.info/people/103-alan-dale)
I don’t see him in the movie page (for example http://mtdb.info/movies/1140746-dont-knock-the-rock)

1. That’s not a bug, those actors are not shown on purpose.
2. There’s no separate field for it at the moment.

Use either imdb or tmdb as data provider (or truncate all data from dashboard before switching), using both will result in issues like above.

You don’t need to save manually, it will be saved automatically once you attach or detach a movie.
As for resetting, but sure ‘auto update’ is set to ‘no’ in category settings.
Hi, is it possible to populate the MTDb with movies from my XBMC DB whith a self written script (e.g. to extract all tt-IMDB-numbers from the XBMC DB to import it into the MTDb) Is it also possible to import the local file-path in addition to the tt-ID of the movies to stream them via MTDb? What kind of movie-formats are streamable? Xvid,Divx,H.264?

The importing part is definitely possible.
As for the streaming, not sure I fully understood your question, but you can stream any formats that are supported by html5.

It’s not about how much movies you have, they need to fit specific criteria to be auto-assigned to a specific category.
You can always attach movies manually to a category.
