A PREBUY QUESTION: I can see it supports wordpress category, page category, woocommerce category. Can it support the portfolio categories?

The shortcode can display categories from (portfolio category) but you must know the taxonomy make it as categories of portfolio
For example: taxonomy make it as categories is ‘portfolio_cat’

i just bought it since i learned the portfolio is supported. I actually purchased a portfolio plugin(viba portfolio: http://codecanyon.net/item/viba-portfolio-wordpress-plugin/9561599) yesterday and i meant to use that portfolio plugin to display my portfolio. Now i got your accordion plugin and i want to use it to display viba portfolio as a accordion at my sidebar. What i have to do is to change “portfolio_cat” to another name, right? i don’t know what category_type is named in viba portfolio. I highly appreciate it if you could check it out.

hi i haven’t got the reply. if i were able to embed the portfolio post type accordion into a page, how can i set it to the widget such as sidebar? i could not find the portfolio type in there and i can’t edit any code to the widget module.

i also think the readme file better be more elaborate since there is no setting UI on the wp dashboard. I think you’d better make a list of all values so we know how to edit the shortcode to get what we want.
i could not get any email from your support website. i believe the spam system is working too hard on that. It could have been deleted by my mail server automatically. I reset the spam filters and can you send me the email again? Right now, i could not sign in to see any of your reply in your support website even with the ticket number you gave me.
It only work with custom category_type in shortcode, Don’t have UI for shortcode. You can learn how to use these values in the documentation. If you wan to use widget then i won’t work with portfolio. Because you can not put a new value for category type in the widget.
thanks for the reply. i believe the category accordion function is mostly applied in the widget(especially the sidebar) rather than a page or post, do you agree? i never meant to use this accordion shortcode in a page and all i want is let it display in the sidebar. kinda frustrating now coz i don’t know how to code to tweak your plugin. I do believe it is possible to support portfolio in widget setting coz you have already supported post, page, woocommerce., etc. It’s very hard to find good accordion plugin’s on codecanyon or wordpress.org. i am just wondering if you have any plan to make the widget module support other custom posts such as portfolio? really expecting!

Hello, I’m using your plugin by a widget, for both woocomerce and post categories. I can see the categories and the sub-categories, but not the post titles (in the post categories) and products titles (woocommerce). What I have to do for display them?

Hello, Thank you for the update. However personally I am not using this plugin even after buying it because it does not support custom post types. I submitted this request and I am kindly requesting you to consider adding the ability to select categories for other custom post types. Otherwise this is a very nice plugin but I feel it is deficient in this area.
Hi If you want to select categories from other custom post type on widget, that is possible but the shortcode won’t allow you select categories from other custom post type, it must be putted a fixed value for the shortcode’s attributes. This is problem that i’m researching.

The ‘open_default’ attribute to open parent pages/categories which has child pages/categories. To include certain page IDs, you must use [zfwca category_type=”page” include=”2,3,4,6”]

The pages are not a Category the category is for Posts, my question is for pages

1. Page You choose ‘category type’ is page if you want to use for page accordion 2. Widget Yes, you are right. There are some options of the ‘order by’ field not saved. this is a small bug I’ll fix it in the next version

you can try new version (1.6) and clear all caches then saving widget again
I did that though it does not solve the issue above. Please also consider to include the “Include” field on the widget where one can define categories to include. Right now it only allows user to exclude certain categories

When viewing a Woocommerce product page, how can we have it open to show the current category/sub-category you are in?
You want to open current category/subcategory when you are viewing product?. in that case, the currently plugin is without this feature. However, i will add this feature in next version

Installed it and navigated to a product that is in a sub-category and the widget does not open to reveal the path to which the product sits. Am I missing something? I cleared my cache as well.
Yes, you are right. currently, it only show categories of post (only for a parent category ). the post link above is category (no parent). I missed this problem

I am also having issues with whenever I open the plugin widget the plugin will then default back to original settings without me making changes …it’s VERY annoying please fix this in update too.
i don’t see these issues at current version. You should clear all wordpress, browser cache and try again. if it still existing issues then you can open new ticket for your problem.

Hi, currently, it does not show child levels if active category is parent category. but if it is necessary for you, i will update it in the next version. Of course it works fine on post/page with shortcode.

Are you want to open category of a post if you are viewing detail post?. Because, each posts maybe have one or many categories. in that case, the plugin only open when you are viewing a category.

Author’s say Don’t worry about but how my clients bother this, while they often scan their sites with antivirus or malware scan online to ensure their site reliability, because we process online payments via payment gateways credit cards and debit cards.
How my clients accept this?
if they found their Website with Malware affected malware-entry-mwjs2368?v2 malware and it adds additional pressure to developers.
As a wordpress developer i am not recommend this plugin to anyone even finally terrible

There’s a major issue with this plugin, despite I’m very happy with it : it seems that there is a malicious code in it located here : zf-wrodpress-category-accordion.zip\zf-wrodpress-category-accordion\assets\core\js\zfwca-accordion.min
Several antivirus plugins give the same detection : this file contains a malicious code. I simply deleted it.
