You can use “long type” as field type in marker details tahat supports all html tags. Then you have to enter link in html form and it will be displayed. Please check manual for information about custom fields types.

It would be, for example, more ergonomic to be able to click directly on the address email of Matis Warren (w.mathis@example.com).

I’m looking at your extension, but had a quick question. I’m looking to implement a clickable map of the United States, where a customer can click on a state and see the sales reps available in that state. I also want the customer to be able to type in their zip code and have the sales rep for their zip code displayed.
Is that something I can do with this extension?

Hi, this is an application not simple extension.
Directly it’s not prepared for your functionality but you can do something like this.
You can create map of the US and add labels that are links to other maps of states. Something similar like COMPANY map in demo app. Sales rep can be markers, and every sales rep can have field that has zip code as it’s value. So searching will be similar as in demo, you will enter zip code and search results will be displayed. Try to test, enter into demo and go to search tab, select EMPLOYEE and in field DEPARTMENT select LOGISTICS, click SEARCH. You will see how results of search are displayed.
is it possible to write data direct to the database from a different application to display map entries instead of using the backend tools? so that i can create a map, define the different areas with your app, but the displayed details to each entry (displayed name, picture, etc.) would be coming from a different app?
It’s based on MySql database so you can access it with other applications. You have to analyze db structure and then you can modify it.

No you cannot simply drag wedding tables, maps are statical images. But you can create one in graphic program and upload to YourMap application.

You can use “long text” as a type for parameters displayed in popup to show link to window, something similiar to lightboxes (see Office inventory map in demo). If you want to replace popups it’s need some code changes. Contact me on via email if you are interested.
Hello! I have a pre-purchase question.
I am making a forum-based RPG game, where forum members will have clans, and will be able to move around map and do quests, etc. We have a ready version, which looks like this right now http://evendim.ru/map.html . As you can see, we have locations, locations descriptions, background color on locations to show which fraction does it belong to, castle locations and armies (with info). I am doing it with the help of HTML, and as you know, it is realy time consuming. I wonder, if I could use your engine to do the same, but in more faster way. If yes – i am buying it right away.

As you can see my application have little diference that yours. You can test it, to see that it is for you or not. Use demo links.
Just a suggestion but I’d recommend you rename the htaccess file to somethign like htaccess.rename and give instructions on renaming the file once it is uploaded. Using the default name hides the file on most OSes and the FTP client won’t upload it.
In future versions, presence of htaccess file will be checked during installation.

Hi,
Image cannot be changed at different zoom level. The only thing that is changing at different zoom levels are marker (displays as dot, as icon or detailed info at different zoom levels) and labels (are visible only on and above 25% zoom).

I am having the issue with my installation. I set it up as a test in a dev folder on my site and I’m getting the communication error – check php script on the admin panel. I can send you information about the setup of the db and the ftp info.
It seems that your installation missing some files, I will send you detailed info on email

Please ensure that you have uploaded ALL files onto FTP server. Confirm that you have file named ”.htaccess” file in main app folder. If you still have problems please contact me via email.
Seem to be stuck. I am running into the following errors.
2. When I go to root of where I uploaded all the files (yes I adjusted permissions) it spits out the following error. Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/wvseatin/public_html/plan/index.php:1) in /home/wvseatin/public_html/plan/index.php on line 4. However, if I go to /install it pulls up things fine. I am able to successfully install but then I run into this problem…
2. I get a notice on the right hand side that says Error: “Communication error! Check PHP script!”. So I read above and I put a .htaccess file on my server but still get the error. I also checked and from what I can tell mod rewrite is on.

Correction, the main site pulls up now, the only problem I’m having is getting into the admin. I keep getting the script error.
Hi, you have to upload ALL app files from installation package onto ftp server then app will work as should.
I uploaded all files in the one folder that you said. Are you saying I should upload the other folders outside the one you said to upload?
I sent you my FTP details in a pm. Can you look and see if its right because I think it is but it is still not working.
Ie: There is a your_map_for_install and I took all files out of there and installed in the root. Are the other files that I am supposed to take from the other folders, for example “yourmap_css_js_sources” or vector maps”? If so, do I move the files out of those folders and put them in the root folder as well, or do I put the whole folders in the root?
You have to copy all files from ‘your_map_for_install’ dir only. Please follow instructions I’ve send you on email.
I haven’t received an email and I did exactly as you just stated above. When I go to main site you’ll see the error. Please look at wvseating.com. It saying sometbing about headers already being called so it doesn’t forward me to install. I have checked permissions and mod rewrite and ensured ALL files were there. Willing to pay extra if you’ll help install or fix.
This is literally painful. I have done everything you have told me. The front end of the website shows fine but something is wrong because in the admin when I try to login it gives me the Communication error with php script. Can you tell me what file its calling? Something, anything?
It appears it has something to do at the beginning. Even if I enter the wrong password in the /admin section it still says “communication error” php script. Don’t know what else to do. Offered to pay you to help me get this up and running. At my wits end here. Perfect product just can’t get the support I need which is either to take money to install OR to look at my site with the details I provided.
I have send you instructions with detailed info what is missing on your FTP server, and telling you what exactly to do. You did not do that and you have send my an email where you asked me to do this, I logged and fixed your installation. You are sending me emails at time when in my country is night. I’ writing back as soon as I can so I don’t think that my support is insufficient. The problem was in not uploading all files from installation package..

I have a quick question about the Markers long text where you can add HTML. When I add links there seems to be characters / /// that populate right before saving. If you have any idea what might be causing this or a way to fix it please let me know.
