Hello, I just purchased the module and I am trying to use it. The problem is the following : My categories descritions are stored as html through a basic wysiwyg editor in my prestashop admin (1.6 with leotheme). When these descriptions are used by your module to create the metatags, the special chars in my descriptions html code get another html conversion too, which makes the description unreadable.
As an example :
I have a category which description is stored in the database as <p>Des idées originales pour agrémenter la décoration et la célébration du plus beau jour de votre vie !</p> (basically, <p> tags around french language where the accents are stored as html special chars)</p>.
<p>Des idées originales pour agrémenter la décoration et la célébration du plus bea - Leo furniture
The <, > and & characters are converted into html special chars like & lt;, & gt; and & amp;, and it turns everything into a big mess (which doesn’t show here, of course).
The title also keeps the html tags like <p>...</p>.
Is there anything I can do to solve this ? Isn’t your module parsing the html code to get only the text in it, and isn’t it able to leave html special chars as they should be ?

Good point, we will make it possible to use both product with tax or without tax. Displaying the combinations of a product might be tricky! For example if you have 4 combinations available which one do you pick up. Please send you more details by email at contact@onasus.com.

hi, using your module and i am very pleased with it. however in webmaster tools i have duplicated tags for my categories pagination(page 2, 3 ect..) Can i tackle this issue with your module and if not it will be a great new function if added. thanks

I am very interested in this but i have a question.
Will i lose all “handmade” meta titles and descriptions if i install this module?
Can i only set it to only change meta for products pages?
The thing is, I have added manually meta tags for category pages and manufacturers pages, and i would like to keep those as they are, not auto generate.

Thank you for your interest in our module SEO MANAGER for Prestashop. No worries, You will not lose your manual added meta tags for category pages and manufacturer pages with our module. You just have not to generate them again. You can decide to generate the meta tags for the product pages only. Soon you will be able to decide whether to override existing meta tags.

I also have a suggestion if you don’t mind. Can you do something to overwrite the search results URLs, make it more seo friendly?
I mean, instead of search results like doamain.com/search?controller=search&orderby=position&orderway=desc&search_query=keyword, show somehting like domain.com/search/keyword/

Bonjour Monsieur, Nous n’ajouterons pas le nuage de tags pour les produits, pour une bonne raison. En apparence ils créent du contenu dans votre site e-commerce. En réalité, les tags sont le meilleur moyen de générer du content duplicate. Parce qu’ils créent des pages avec très peu de contenus avec des mots et images similaires et/ou tous identiques.

Hello. Why do not you have implemented to generate meta keywords based on the name of the product?
De nos jours, les méta mot clés ne sont plus utiles pour le référence. Prestashop 1.6 ne les affiche même plus dans le backoffice. Nous indiquons bien dans la page description que les mots clés n’ont plus d’importance pour le référence moderne.
Many Codecanyon users ask pre sale questions related to the meta keywords. They are not any more relevant to SEO for the leaders search engines. What is more, Prestashop 1.6 drops the support of the meta keywords. Therefore the module does not generate the meta keywords meta data at all.

Module intéressant mais est ce possible de gérer le duplicate content en ajouter la possibilité de gérer l’option “Indexer” par type de page : catégorie, cms et surtout les pages générées automatiquement par prestashop comme : meilleurs ventes…

Bonjour, Je viens d’acheter votre module qui à l’air de remplir mes besoins en tant que générateur de méta tag, cependant, j’ai une petite question, j’ai commencé par la page CMS en ajoutant “Consultez nos {CMS_NAME} de {SHOP_NAME}” Le résultat devient: Consultez nos modes-de-livraison de … ... Pourquoi y à t’il des tirets dans modes-de-livraison ? On dirait que le méta tag est repris sur l’Url rewrité… Est il possible de n’utiliser que le titre en le laissant dans son format d’origine, soit Modes de Livraison ? Est ce que le module réagit sur la même façon avec les produits ou catégories ? Merci de votre réponse,

Je viens de constater que dans le bloc CMS présent dans le Footer, reprenant les infos des CMS, tous à été traduit également du style: Consultez nos modes-de-livraison Consultez nos conditions-generales-de-vente Consultez nos qui-sommes-nous etc… Pas trop terrible…

Bonjour Monsieur, Merci d’avoir acheté notre module. Nous avons fait des tests sous plusieurs versions de Prestashop incluant la version 1.6.0.9 et le résultat reste le même pour nous. Le module génère correctement les méta données pour les pages CMS. Le texte avec des tirets pourraient faire référence aux URLS simplifiées. Mais notre module n’adresse pas les URLS simplifiées. Il s’avère que sur votre site, les meta sont parfaitement normales et ne comportent pas de tirets non plus. Si vous estimez que ne module ne fonctionne pas bien, veuillez bien vous contacter Codecanyon pour faire une demande de rembourse. Merci de votre compréhension. Onasusweb
