Is it possible to add another menu button (something like a home button)? If not would it be hard to hack?
If you know code and know how to add it then it’s not that difficult, no. But it is something you’d have to do on your own as that’s not something Jumbo comes with. Cheers.
Great Plugin
Glad you like it
maan it cannot be.. it was for wordpress, i though it was for html5 with javascript or something. I know it is my mistake for nor read but, exist any possibility of use it on html5?
. i love it ut i did’t want it for wordpress
How could you miss that… It even says WordPress in the title
No plans for a stand-alone version right now I’m afraid. Never say never, but no plans for now.
If you didn’t download it yet, you could try you get a refund from Envato though.
no problem, it’s my mistake. i will buy the loader you have, is that for htm5 right?
PageLoader you mean? Yes, that has both WordPress and html versions available.
A quick question before I go ahead and purchase;
How difficult would it be to customize it in a such a way that I’d be able to open different menus when clicking on different links? I.e. retaining the existing horizontal links menu I currently use on my site, but opening subcategorized links in the jumbo fullscreen.
I don’t quite understand what you’re after. Are you talking about displaying Jumbo on certain category pages only, or clicking an item on your theme’s menu which then opens the full-screen Jumbo menu, or something else entirely?
Sorry, poorly worded. I’d like to have several different versions of the jumbo menu that open when my main navigation links are clicked. So it’d act as a place for subcategorized links. Make more sense?
Yeah, makes sense now. But that’s not what Jumbo was designed for I’m afraid. It would take quite a bit of effort to make it work like that.
Okay, that’s what I needed to know. Thanks.
Sure thing.
If you can add the option to be open by default on the front page only I’ll purchase this plugin!
Ah, a rather desired feature
I’ll make sure to add it in the next update.
Purchased!
Cheers
And just a heads up, I’ll probably release the next update next week.
Quick question – can the menu be expanded by default on the front-page of my website?
I would want it to be so only on the frontpage, but to be available as an option on all pages!
Not right now. But someone else already asked for the same thing, so I’ll be adding an option to have it open on the front page in a future update for sure.
Nice work!! Good luck!
Thanks
I love the flexibility and ease of use of this plugin- just extremely well designed. And the fact that you’re actively taking requests and discussing upcoming features is so refreshing to see on here. Very well done with this one!

Great work – AGAIN! I too echo the desire to be able to set a full screen background image by page accessed – so if Dinner category, meal background, Dessert category then Dessert background, that sort of thing.
Any plans on some different CSS animation options for showing menu e.g. slide in from top, bottom, page push/shove – those sorts of things?
I’ll have to think about how to go about that. It won’t be in the first few updates though as the to-do list is hefty already. But I’ll certainly keep this in mind.
As for different main menu appearances, definitely. I have plans to add slide-ins (and outs) from top/bottom/left/right, and you’ll be able to choose the menu activation and close animations separately. So for example, it can slide in from the top, but slide out to the bottom etc.
Hey dude, great developments so far. One more question – instead of showing an image/background when clicked – how about just a transparent background so that site still shows through?
Yep, you can do that. Update 1.2 added background color transparency. Just don’t enter a background image and change the background color and its transparency to whatever you’d like
is there a way to make the menu opened by default ? like when people open the main page , the menu will be wide open.
Not right now but that’s a good idea, and it’s easy to do. I’ve scribbled it down and will include it in the next update. Thanks!
AWESOME as ever! JS version at some point? Will almost certainly add it to my list of your files very soon.
Cheers mate
As for a non-WP version, no plans right now but never say never.
can i set the menue-icon to a fixed position (fluid)? can i activate the menue by default? thanks
Hi there.
The menu buttons can be given fixed (this is the default setting) and absolute positioning (changed on the plugin’s settings page).
Menu can be set to be open by default on all pages through a little customization. I have it handy though, another buyer just asked for the same thing an hour ago.
Awesome Work Mate
Cheers!
looks cool my man. Question. To wrap my head around this better, can you make a few different WP installs as demos? It seems cool. But I’d like to understand it better to before I can really take it on.
Hi there. Do you have a specific question? I’d be happy to shine some light if something’s not perfectly understandable. I ask because if I make another demo site, then it’d just look different. But the fact that the plugin is highly customizable is made pretty clear I think? I’m not sure what’s left unclear or how another demo site could make it clearer…
Cheers.
Hi, The only thing that is not clear is having some more examples of the flexibility and customizability to get my mind going in the direction how how I can be creative and apply this to various sites. As it is, I see one thing and it doesn’t work the way I am expecting it. The full page nav is not a standard UI/UX choice, so, who knows? I don’t know. Just thinking that you could color this in a bit to make it more appealing.
The image on the item detail page displays 4 different examples of the possible end-results you can achieve. In addition, every single thing you can customize is laid out bit by bit. There’s simply nothing else to show; every detail is right there
ok. Maybe I’ll look deeper and have a coffee. I may need to perk up. ;)C
Hello BonfireThemes,
very interesting! On the same note as @nopez4you would it be possible to:
- use a slider (sequential or random order) for the background image?
- have the menu open on page/post load (all or by selected id)
Thank You in advance!
No sliders, just a menu. But having the menu open by default across the site can be a quick customization. Cheers.
Hello BonfireThemes,
thank you for the quick reply and information – much appreciated! – and I am certain I will find a good use for this.
I will send you a message via your profile just to have the “open by default” code handy in the event it is required.
Sound good, and thanks for the purchase
This looks great. Very unique. Nice Design!
I would have purchased it already if I could have seen more examples of how it looks when changing between pages and how it responds when you have a larger list of menu items.
1.) Can you have different background images based on the page or post category the user is triggering it from? For example, if they are on the a recipe post can I show them a food related background image?
2.) Does it work with the standard Wordpress menu system? If so, how is the smaller text above the menu items managed?
Please post some screen captures of the GUI.
Thanks!
Good luck with sales!
Glad you like it
If there’s a larger list of menu items, then you can just scroll through them as you’d expect.
1) Nope. One image site-wide. 2) Yes, it uses the default WordPress menu builder under Appearance > Menus. No reason to re-invent the wheel. The smaller text is entered into the “Description” textarea (which can be enabled under Screen Options in the top-right corner).
Cheers.
I have purchased your plugin but please consider adding an option to have context specific background images. Thanks.
How can I change the Z index? I have several things fighting to be on top.
I can add my own custom CSS but it would be great if your GUI had an option to toggle UPPERCASE on and off.
Is there a way that I can set the jumbo menu page as the initial landing page or home page?
Z-indexes are all in the jumbo.css file.
Hmmm… I could add an all-caps option but is there a reason you simply don’t want or can’t write in all caps? I spcifically didn’t include that so people can easily choose what they write in caps and what they don’t.
In an update I’ll be including the option to have the menu be open on the static front page and/or blog index.
I experimented with your menu in different combinations of upper and lower case. As I sat her and retyped my menu several times it occurred to me that it would have been very convenient if you had an option for controlling type case.
If you are opposed to adding such a feature and you would rather force your customers to retype their menus, then by all means leave it as is.
I’m not opposed at all
It’s a good suggestion, I just wanted to hear the reasoning. I’ll have to include three options then, one for main menu’s smaller text, then bigger text, and finally, the secondary menu. That way people can mix and match rather than make it all caps across the board.
I’ve scribbled it down. Coming in the next update most likely.
Thanks. I think the additional type style option will help users that might want to assign a single menu to multiple locations.
Does the secondary drop down menu support sub-menus? If so, it does not seem to be working for me.
It’s single-level for now. Sit tight for an update though, it’ll be included.
No worries, it will be more than a week before I use it on a live site.
One more tiny request.
If it’s not too much trouble can you please give us field so we insert any image we want into the Gravatar location?
Yeah, can be done. The option to add a Gravatar will still be there but I’ll add a custom image option as well. It’ll be in update 1.2 or 1.3 though.
Thank you!
Sure thing. And thanks for the review! May I use it as a testimonial?
Sure
Thanks for the quick update.
Awesome. Good luck with sales!
Thanks mate
