I Tried to install the plugin Magic Balls but when I do I got the comment that the plugin packet could not be installed because there are no valid plugins found. Can you help me?
Hi Glimz, you should upload the folder /magic-answers/ inside your /wp-content/plugins/ directory via ftp.
if you are trying to install it directly from the wp panel, you should have magic-answers.zip in your download, which is the installable version. if not, please send me a private message, i will send you back the .zip file

Hi m_kato, sure, look at the Settings Panel, you can customize all the answers with any language, and you are free to set less or more than the 20 provided by default
Idea : I love your plugin and see so many possibilities in this. To make a plugin that works with the mycred Point system. Example : Having x cards. E.g. 75% of the cards saying : You didnt win. 25% of the cards saying : you won. Which gives a 25% of winning. When a member pick a card then they automatically pay points for the card. If the member gets a : you won. Then they earn points.
Idea 2 : A high/ low game using the cards. The member picks the first card. Which could be any number between 1 and 100 (the card should cost points using mycred). After this first card then it ask : Will the next card me lower or higher. If the user guess right. Then the user wins points. But there also need to be some math in it. For example : If the users first card is a 1. Then the user have 0 chance of guessing wrong and therefore should win very little. If the card first card is 40 then the user have a 60% on the higher side which should give less points if the user wins on the lower side which is 40% then it should give slightly more points.

These should be quite easy for you to make. When you already have the structure build of : magic-answers-plugin.

Hey, thanks for your suggestions, I didn’t know Mycred. I’ve no much time now, but I’m very open to new stuff, so I can’t exclude future implementations or new projects in that direction 
Can you add so it is possible to add different decks of answers ? Because it seems dated when it is not possible to have a serious and others more funny ones or maybe there is already a solution for this ?
Hi Hugblue, as the comment above: at the moment the only way is to install different plugins on different wp, anyway the “multiple-decks” would be a nice feature, I can’t exclude it in the future

Hi, and thank you. I’m sorry, but the answers are always randomly picked from the same configuration panel, so you could at least install different plugins in different wordpress to set different answers
Hi, I just purchased this and I’m excited to use it! I was just wondering if there’s any way to change a card face on mouse over? like add a second image as a mouse over effect on one of the cards. If not that’s ok, in that case I’d also find the code for customizing the back of the card very helpful too. Thank you for this awesome plugin!

magic-answers/css/style.css and try adding something like this:

thank you nicola That is very helpful! Also, I’m having a bit of an unusual problem, as my TinyMCE toolbar isn’t visible to access the button that would normally apply magic answers to a page. I have tried to figure out what is causing the disappearance of my toolbar for several months now, and I have been working around it. I only realized after my purchase that I would need the use of this toolbar to insert the magic answers into a page, but I’d would still love to be able to use it, so my question is, is there are way you can tell me what html it generates when you click this button? I could probably customize it if needed. If not that’s ok, I appreciate the help you’ve provided me with!
wow, ok so strangely I figured out a way to stop the page from loading fully to gain access to my toolbar. The solution for this issue has evaded me for months, so to just stumble upon the solution within hours of commenting here about how to use this plugin without it was a powerful coincedence indeed. Magic answers works in strange and mysterious ways, it seems! So thank you and I actually don’t need help with this. The plugin works great!

You can currently doing it setting only 2 answers (yes | no) ..but it would affect every widget.. nice suggestion, I’ll probably add the option “oracle” activatable via shortcode

Hi Sparxxx, it seems that the widget can’t calculate correctly its height, but it works when you resize the window. I think that could be a conflict with your theme, who probably fades-in the elements after the plugin starts. please send me a private message, we can try to delay the plugin initialization.
I have this in a sidebar widget and just cannot get it to display properly. As soon as I go to “inspect element” on Firefox it suddenly appears, but on reloading the page it disappears again.

Hi, i seem to have a problem uploading this pluggin, when i download the pluggin i get a zipfile 1.3. then i try to upload it in my wordpress and it says failed to install. When i unpack it in my computer i don’t see a installable zipfile, so it seems i just have to install the zipfile that i get when i download it. when i go to my download page on themeforrest and download only the installable pluggin file and then install the zipfile that i get it installs but it’s version 1 i think i can only add 19 answers.
What’s going wrong here.

Hi Thomas, you shoud upload only the un-zipped “magic-answers” folder inside “wp-content/plugins/”, and to add more than 20 answers try clicking the (+) button above “save settings”, it should add more text fields.
You can set many custom card graphics, but the possible answers are the same for all (random)
Well that’s what i have been trying to do, uploading the zip file, this one : codecanyon-6791235-magic-answers-plugin.zip
But it won’t install, i have tried redownload it from codecanyon downloads but every time the same error.
And as i said when i download in the purchased downloads the installable wordpress file only i get version 1.0 that will install but doesn’t have the new options. Is your new zip file 1.3 maybe damaged.

ok.. 1: sorry, I did forget to upload the updated version of the installable wp file, I will do it today
2: the codecanyon zip file is ok, but you should extract the sub-folder /magic-answers/ from it (not the whole folder magic-answers-wp-plugin-1.3/) see this pic:
OK I wait for you to upload, not seem to know what you mean with extracting. and keeping the zip folder to upload, can you notify when you did it.
Further if you feel like it, it would be really great to have multiple options for card decks etc with each deck to have different answers in it, or affirmations. And an option to pick your own card instead of clicking at one card, and then with a shuffle mode, would bring this pluggin to the next level
The update has just been approved. I suppose you install plugins directly from the wp panel as .zip files, and I use to upload them directly via ftp (unzipped), I think that’s the reason why we didn’t understand each other before

Hi, Did you already uploaded it because now when i download the installable file, it fails to upload within wordpress. I never directly upload within ftp, so that would mean some search work to do that. Could you take another look or try to upload your file within wordpress to see if it works for you. Thanks, Thomas

Hi Thomas, thanks for your feedback. That’s not an easy implementation, I cant promise (but maybe).
For now a quick-and-dirty solution could be to install 2 different wp with the same theme, let’s say: www.example.com/insights/ and www.example.com/yesornot/, each one with its custom magicanswers configuration
the answers do not seem to appear in high resolution on mobile phone – any suggestions?
The answers are in simple text, and images can’t be stretched over 100%, so I don’t know how can you see something in low resolution

However, I notice that if you enter long text it uses the – to continue the phrase. Like for example:

I want it to go to the next line when that happens rather than show the hyphen.

Hi i’m looking for such a plugin a long time it’s almost there for me. would i be able to put in there like a 100 different text. Like angel cards or affirmation cards work. a nice addition would be as well that people could choose a card within differnt laid out cards.

Hi Thomas, putting 100 answers instead of 20 is quite simple, you just have to edit the file options.php before intalling the plugin, and with a small code modification you could also have 3 different cards instead of card+ball+mouth (you have to prepare different graphics from PSD provided)
*update: from v1.2 you can easily add as many answers as you want from the settings panel
