I had downloaded your plugin for killing the category base. But… it doesn’t. I only activated the checkbox “Remove product category base”. When I’m clicking on an product-category, I will get an 404-error.

But how can i remove it. When I do, WC adds alway the category base

I think you mean the product base, not the category base. You can’t remove the product base yet. We haven’t found a way to remove it without breaking other parts of the site

yeah, i mean the product base. ok, but it helps me a lot. i hope, you will find a way for the product base. good job, thanks for support!

Hey, i get this error after activation: Notice: Woocommerce->get_attribute_taxonomies ist seit Version 2.1 veraltet! I am using the kriesi enfold theme and all in one seo. Please help!

I am pretty angry right now. Did what you said. And now I have noticed that my complete checkout procedure crashes. This only happens when your plugin is active. Please REALLY take care of my problem or refund. Hiding error messages is not a good support…

Thats not even possible? What did you do?.Did you set WP_DEBUG to false? As i said, this is just a warning generated by Woocommerce telling you that one function is deprecated and to use the other function. The plugin will still function as normal because the old function is still available. Regardless, if you did set WP_DEBUG to false then again, that has nothing to do with any functionality in Wordpress or Woocommerce and it only used to debugging purposes so it can’t break your checkout.

Another thing to check is that All in one SEO isn’t conflicting with the plugin and trying to manage SEO settings for Woocommerce too.

You can send me access details and when i get some free time i’ll take a look for you.

Thank you for taking care. Sent you a message with login data..

can this allows me to add sitemap to all my products posts?

Hi,

No the plugin does not handle sitemaps at all.

This issue of mine keeps on persisting.

I have disabled all other plugins, and still there is an issue. Do you think that you could take a look?

Remove Category-base

The category url points to product page instead of pointing to the category.

Let me know how I can get you login info.

Regards,

Gerry

Hi there, urls and category urls are completely unique.

Will forward information to staging-website. Please check it out. I have disabled all plugins, switched themes, and re-direct of category to a random product pages persists when this plugin is active.

It works alot of the time! But when the site is under active development, it crashes, resetting/saving permalinks and plugin save-save does nothing to remedy this.

Sending info privately, thanks in advance for the help.

Gerry

Hi everyone,

This turned out to be related to settings in another plugin that I am using in conjunction with my website.

For the record, saving this plugin with permalinks enabled, and then disabling the permalinks and saving again seemed to resolve my issue.

I hope this is helpful – Great plugin – Excellent for SEO!

Thanks! Glad you got it sorted in the end.

Hi

I just purchased and installed your plugin.

Do you provide any documentation to show how to set it up?

regards M

Hi,

Yes, documentation is in a folder called Documentation in the plugin zip that you would have downloaded. Alternatively, documentation can be found here: http://docs.codeninjas.co/woocommerce-seo/

Hi, great plugin!

I just had a few questions:

1) How do I change the nav layered filter from AND to OR ? It’s important for me that my clients are able to select several options at the same time..

2) For some reason I couldn’t get the meta titles/descriptions to work.. What are the exact steps so that I get meta titles to show up for each different attribute..?

Thanks a lot for your help buddy!

Regards, Vlad

Hi, Gad you like it. 1) There is no option to change the layered navigation from AND to OR. This was left out by design due to the nature of how the URL structures work. The URL implies that you are drilling down further into the products. The deeper you go, the more specific the products become. So, defaulting the layered navigation to AND made sense. I guess, if there is a need to be able to set the layered navigation to OR then we can add it.

2) The meta titles and description are created dynamically using a template system. In the Settings, you create a template that you want the title to be with place holders for the different attributes. Then as user browse the site and select attributes, the title and description will be created based on what has been selected. Any place holder that doesn’t have a value in simply left blank and not output.

There is more information is the documentation for both of these points, so if you haven’t done so already, i suggest you read through that.

Hope that helps

Compatible with Yoast SEO plugin?

The plugins are independent so should work.

I just get errors on the demo site when clicking colours or sizes http://demo.codeninjas.co/woocommerce-seo/tshirts/

Hi,

Apologies, the demo site is out of date and needs to be updated to the last versions of Woocommerce and Woocommerce SEO. I’ll try and get them update within the next week or so.

Hi there,

I have an issue.

I have selected to remove product category base.

It works perfect when I am logged into wp-admin.

When I log out, clicking on any category points to a product page.

Please advise as to a fix, the site is a total mess.

Regards,

It is working now, not sure why this was.

Thank you for a great plugin :)

Glad you got it working!

Filter Titles – If we are on a Category called example-cat the page title how can we have dynamic and relevant headers for each individual filter. Eg.

if: www.mysite.com/product-category/example-cat/filter1/filter2/filter3

then H1 = Filter 1 & Filter 2 etc..

not Example Cat

Thanks

Elliot

The plugin allows you to create a template that the page title should be so when on the category page the plugin will use the template to generate the page title dynamically based on the category selected and any filters also selected.

Hi, can we remove the ’/product’ before product URL’s?

Thanks.

Hi,

Currently it is not possible to remove the /product. The plugin only allows you to remove the category base.

Hi,

I’m thinking of buying your plugin. Do you know if it is compatible with the WPML plugin?

I’m especially interested in the product category base remove feature.

Thanks

Hi,

There were a few people who were using it with WPML if I remember correctly and they haven’t complained about any issues so i’m assuming it works. I personally haven’t tested it so can’t confirm.

Hi Code-Ninjas….I read above mentioned comments that you have released the version 1.1.3 but in item detail page and your own website it’s still showing version 1.1.1 so please let me what is the current version or update the item details….this is pre-sales question.

Thanks

Current version is 1.1.3. Just haven’t had the time to update the images on the item details page.

Dear Author. I bought and activate your plugin, but product cattegory is still in url. WP 3.9 Woocommerce 2.1.7

And product as a word is still there

The product base isn’t removed by the plugin. I’ll look into the category base now.

I can do everything (as far as I know) this plugin does using “Seo Ultimate” free plugin. What else does this plugin do ? Can you please point out which features it has extra compared to plugins like seo ultimate, yoast and aio …

This plugin is specific to Woocommerce rather than Wordpress in general. Although the plugins you mentioned do share some features with Woocommerce SEO the plugin has some features specific to Woocommerce such as removing the Woocommmerce product category base and allowing you to have pretty URLs when using the layered navigation widget.

Hi, I’m currently using Woocommerce SEO version 1.1.3 WooFramework version 5.5.5 WooCommerce 2.1.5 Wordpress 3.8.1

I tried to activate ‘Remove product category base’ option But now all my categories goes ‘404 not found’ I’m currently turning your plugin off I need it for SEO, can you help me?

Hi, I’ve sent you an email I’ve turned off the ‘Remove product category base’ option but now all my pages returns ‘404 page not found’

Hi, do you have any update on this issue? :) If you fix it on the next version, I’ll wait for it

I’ve had a look and cant see where the problem is. Its working fine on my dev site. I’ll have to look into it a little more. I’ll get back to you.

I have the latest versions of all plugins: and am getting the errors below when your plugin is activated. Please advise how to fix this. Thank you.

Warning: call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, class ‘WC_Query’ does not have a method ‘layered_nav_query’ in /home/mysite/public_html/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 173

Warning: array_unique() expects parameter 1 to be array, null given in /home/mysite/public_html/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/classes/class-wc-query.php on line 243

Are you sure you have the latest version of Woocommerce? The errors are generated from Woocommerce files and not the my plugin files.

Hi I had to deactivate my plugins this morning for some backend admin issues. Then activated them one by one, when I got to Woocommerce SEO an error message appeared

Warning: array_key_exists() expects parameter 2 to be array, null given in /home/......../public_html/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-seo/woocommerce-seo.php on line 97

Now I can’t reactivate the rest of my plugins, update or deactivate this one. It’s version Version 1.1.1

Phyllis Is there a fix?

That’s weird. It’s working fine for me. What version of Woocommerce are you using?

I am having an issue with the layered nav widget, but I think the problem also exists for the main woocommerce layered nav widget. When using the List mode I want the other options to appear, just like when using the OR option. I understand that when using the Woocommerce SEO Layered Nav widget there is no OR option, this is due to the way its reconstructing the url, so makes sense, but it would be great if we could still see the other options so that they can be clicked on. It would remove the filter and replace it with the new one. Maybe this could be an option for the widget?

Hi, Thanks for the suggestion. Did t really think about replacing filters when using drop downs. We will look into it and try and implement it. Thanks

I assume it’s the latest version as I downloaded it two days ago.
