I assume it’s the latest version as I downloaded it two days ago.
Hi,
Apologies for the delay In replying. We’ve Been having some technical difficulties. We are looking into the issue now and hoping to get a fix out within the next week or so.
Thank you for your patience so far.
Hello,
We’ve installed the plugin on our site and are encountering the following error:
Fatal error: Call to a member function set() on a non-object in /nfs/c02/h12/mnt/45989/domains/riggingrentals.com.au/html/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-seo-latest/woocommerce-seo-breadcrumbs.php on line 45.
We initially thought it might have been a conflict with our Yoast SEO plugin but after deactivating that we encountered the same error.
Can you please suggest a solution?
Thanks
What version of Woocommerce and Woocommerce SEO are you using?
I assume it’s the latest version as I downloaded it two days ago.
Replied to previous comment.
Hi
I’ve e-mailed you twice but not heard from you, so I will try this channel.
Request: We would like to filter products using dropdown filters on the left and still have all options in dropdown boxes available on result page.
Right now, we always need to go back one step before another filter can be done using the same product attribute.
Thanks.
Hmm, looks like we might have a problem with our mail server. A few people have told us they’ve sent emails but we haven’t received anything.
I think I understand what your asking however, doesn’t Woocommerce do the same thing as this plugin? i.e. hide the filter dropdown once its selected?
I’ll see if what you want can be a quick code modification that you can apply.
Hi
Any news on this issue?
I would really appreciate if you could solve my problem, as it seems strange that I after selecting a value with filter A need to reset this filter if I want to select a differetn value with filter A.
What I’m trying to say is that if I have a filter with e.g. 4 values like Red, White, Black and Blue and I select Black, then all the other 3 values are not visible before I again selevt the default value of the filter (like resetting the filter) first then can I e.g. select Red again.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks
The issue you are are describing is the default behaviour or how drop down filters as supposed to work.. They work in exactly the same way in Woocommerce too. If you wan to change this functionality then you will need to code something custom. Alternatively, you can use list filters which will allow you to select multiple filters.
Hi, I’ve been testing the plugin for awhile now, but after the recent patch we can’t seems to get our category name to work.
Here is the sample code use by our website: brand separator=” , “ [category]
thank you.
Hi,
Received you email. I’ll test it out and let you know if theres a problems.
Hi,
this plugin seems interesting
but is it safe? I mean that I saw that it’s not recommended.
Not recommended? By who? Where did you see that?
I saw it here http://docs.woothemes.com/document/removing-product-product-category-or-shop-from-the-urls/
there is nothing regarding your plugin
but is a general reccomandation
so I would like to know if ther could be some issue removing “product-category”
As long you know what your doing then its not a problem.
If you have any problems then i’m sure we can sort them out
Any updates on how to solve the 404 issues after activating the plugin?
Did you not get my email?
I did not receive any reply from you. I checked my entire site and database and it is showing http. There is no sign of https. However, it still shows 404 after removing the product category base.
OK, let me take another look at your site and i’ll email you.
Hi, have you take a look at my website?
Any updates so far?
Replied by email.
Hi,
Does this plugin allow to add titles/descriptions/keywords for my product categories?
Thank you!
Hi, Yes it does!
Hi I purchased it but I didn’t find this option…
Could you help me?
I just don’t find where to add my keywords in both products and categories
Do you mean the meta keywords?
Yes, why is there something else?
The title and description are there. Meta keywords are no longer used/read by any of the search engines and so we have not included them in the plugin.
Ok. Thank you!
Hi I got this error on updating to 1.1.3 I’m currently using woocommerce 2.0.17 Wordpress 3.7.1

Hmm, I thought this was fixed. I’ll have a look at it now. Any reason why your not updating to Woocommerce 2.1?
Hi, sorry for the late reply. It got fixed when I upgraded to Woocommerce 2.1.
Glad you got it working.
Hi,
Is there any way where I can update my 1.1.1 to 1.1.3? My previous developer did not give me any details for this access.
Updated are automatic from the Wordpress admin.
Thanks for pointing this out! I managed to get in updated to 1.1.3. Thanks!
After updating to 1.1.3, although it did removed the category base, but it is showing 404 still. Are you able to help?
I have tried re-saving the permalinks in wordpress and re-saving the SEO settings, but it is still showing 404 with the product category removed.
On what pages?
On my product categories pages. Any solution to solve this?
Email me access details to your site and i’ll try and take a look.
I have sent the details to you on your profile page. Please check. Hope you are able to help me with it! Thank you.
Ok thanks. I’ll email you as soon as i have a look.
Thank you! I hope to hear from you soon!

Hi just purchased your Woocommerce SEO. I have tried to install through plugin upload, and it will not instal getting message: [The package could not be installed. No valid plugins were found.
Plugin install failed.] Do I have to upload by using FTP? If so is there anywhere I can get instructions, as I have no idea on how to execute.
Best Regards Allan
Hi Please ignore the above, I have managed to upload.

Woocommerce and Woocommerce SEO versions?
Hi,
I’m using “YITH WooCommerce Ajax navigation” plugin and it doesn’t work anymore once your plugin is activated.
I can select one filter but everything breaks down when I choose a second filter.
Do you know why this is happening ?
Thanks.
Break in what way? Are you using the Woocommerce SEO layered navigation widget too?
No I’m just using “YITH WooCommerce Ajax navigation”.
It returns no products when I select more than one filter. When I disable your plugin, it works fine again.
Thanks.
Can you tell me the version of Woocommerce and Woocommerce SEO you are using.
Sure. WordPress 3.8.1, WooCoomerce 2.0.20 (Waiting for my theme to be compatible with 2.1.2), WooCommerce SEO 1.1.1
OK, probably best to give me access to the site so i can take a look rather than asking you a bunch of questions here. Email me the details and i’ll have a look when i get a chance.
OK, I just emailed you the website’s address and credentials via the contact form.
The website is in French, I hope you have the basics
Thanks a lot.
Hi,
did you get a chance to take a look at it ?
Thanks.
Yes, i’m trying to replicate it but i can’t. Give me a few more days to look into it.
OK thanks.
Just notice that I’ve updated a few things yesterday: WooCommerce 2.1.3 and WooCommerce SEO 1.1.3.
Filtering used to return me nothing when I selected 2 filters, now it returns me that no products match my criteria (not the exact sentence but this is the idea).

Hi there, I know you’re busy as I’ve read the prior comments.
Just curious to know if this works with multi-site w/ subdomains on nginx?
Also, I’m curious how it handles sub-categories.
I saw in the live demo shop that when I visited the t-shirt category the category base was remove…That’s perfect….Then when I clicked a product the url was:
../product/{category}/product-slug
What if I had a hierarchical category structure (AKA sub-categories) like this:
T-Shirts
|
— Long Sleeve T-Shirts
|
— Crew Neck
How are the subcategory slugs integrated into their corresponding product slugs?
My guess is that if I visited /tshirts/crew-neck and clicked on a product there the URL would be:
/product/tshirts/crew-neck/{product-slug}
Is that a correct assumptions?
Hi code canyon removed my formatting, but I was trying to depict long sleeve and crew neck as sub-categories of t-shit. Thanks again.
Correct. However, before purchasing, try and get the sub categories in the product URL. If i remember correctly there is an option somewhere that allows subcategories in the product URLs (check the permalinks settings).
Hi there, I am just wanting to make sure this does what I need it to before I purchase it.
I want to set the base permalink to /shop for the main shop pages. I want category pages to be /shop/category I want sub-category pages to be /shop/category/sub-category I want product pages to be /shop/category/sub-category/product-name
To me this is the most logical way for e-commerce to work, if this can work the way I need I would be very happy.
Cheers,
Steve
Hi,
The product might do what you want. There are no features currently to manipulate the URLs of products however, if i remember correctly, Woocommerce did have a way of making the product URLs include categories and sub-categories.
The plugin will allow you to have /shop/categoryname (i.e. remove the product-category base).
Before purchasing try getting the product URLs to include the categories from Woocommerces settings. Once you get that working, then everything else you want can be done.
Hope that helps
That is good news, I have been able to get the category name in the URL, and found this to help me get the sub-category in the name: http://blog.peterkling.info/post/31007977292/woocommerce-subcategories-in-permalink
Has the plug been tested with Woocommerce 2.1 yet?
Cheers,
Steve
It has and there are a few bugs that need fixing. Working on fixes as we speak so you can hold off on purchasing until i get these fixed and get the update released.
That sounds good to me, I will keep looking out for news of the update.
Thanks again!
Steve
Hello Code-Ninjas, just wondering if you were able to let me know when to expect the updated release?
Cheers,
Steve
Hi Steve,
Updates are done have been uploaded to Code Canyon for review so however long it takes Code Canyon to review and release the update
Should only be a few days though so check back then
That is good news, I will check again later this week
Hi there, I have bought the plugin now that it has been updated.
I can’t quite get it to do what I want. It has removed the category base, but its also removed the shop/products base as well.
My site is a local one so can’t give you access.
The Woocommerce products page is: /lights
I would like the categories to appear in subfolder of this: /lights/category1, and subfolders to appear like this: /lights/category1/subcategory1 etc.
My products permalink is set to: /lights/ product_cat
Any ideas what I am doing wrong?
Is ‘lights’ a parent category? Or do you want lights to be your category base?
I want ‘lights’ to be my shop base and my category base. If I do this without Woocommerce SEO everything works apart from the product detail pages.
I can use this code to make the sub-category work in the product detail page: http://blog.peterkling.info/post/31007977292/woocommerce-subcategories-in-permalink
What do you currently get on the product details page?
At the moment, without the modification from Peter Kling, my product detail page is http://www.example.com/lights/consumables/lee222 (in an ideal world I want it to be http://www.example.com/lights/consumables/filters/rosco-e-colour-002-rose-pink)
I just want the pages that get to the product detail page to be a logical progression.
I think the problem is setting both the shop base and the category base to ‘lights’. Try setting on the shop base as lights. Then it you Woocommere settings, there is a setting that lets you append the shop base to all URLs. enable this then try it.
It would be easier to see this myself so i’ll have to setup something up on my local server to test it out if that doesn’t work.
That looks like an old option, its not there in the latest version. I don’t have anything set as my category base, I just have the product page permalink base set to /lights/ product_cat and the page Lights set as the shop page.
I would give you access to mine but its local, would it help if I made it live for you?
Let me try and replicate it myself and i’ll let you know.
Another thing I have noticed is that the main shop page, /lights doesn’t use your breadcrumbs, but all category pages do. The only problem is that the base shop page is not included in the breadcrumbs, probably due to the fact the base shop isn’t in the URL.
Oh, and the product detail pages don’t use your breadcrumbs either. Is this by design?
Yes that it by design.
I take it the lack of shop base page in the breadcrumbs isn’t by design?
If i remember correctly, the plugin just hooks into Woocommerce’s default breadcrumb function to add the filter. Does the shop base show up in the breadcrumbs with the plugins breadcrumbs switch off?
The woocommerce breadcrumbs do show the shop base if I turn off your breadcrumbs. The shop base shows on the product detail page and the main shop page.
Hmm, OK I’ll have a look into it. The breadcrumbs were coded a while ago and may well have changed drastically in later versions of Woocommerece.
Your going to get bored of me soon
Just added a new category which as a sub-category, and the page wouldn’t display until I flushed the permalinks. Is this a Woocommerce problem or a Woocommerce SEO problem?
Not sure how to fix it, but I think I know why the permalink refresh isn’t happening. When I add a category to Woocommerce the page doesn’t refresh. I have to manually refresh it to see the newly added category.
To be honest, that shouldn’t be the problem. If your using the layered navigation widget, then yes you will need to refresh the permalinks. But if its just the category page than you trying to view then I’m not too sure. The plugin adds the category links to the permalinks on each page load, so it the category exists in the database, it should add the link.
Hmmm, something to think about!
As a test I turned off all plugins, and changed to the default theme, even reinstalled Wordpress, but the category page doesn’t refresh after add or delete. I am going to transfer my site to a live host rather than using DesktopServer, see if that helps.
The category problem has gone away now that I am live, but the other problems remain. I can give you access if that helps?
Which problem still remains? The URL structure one?
Yup, the shop base is being removed as well as the category base on the category pages.
Ok, Let me looking into it and I’ll get back to you.
Just to let you know I have given up on trying to get this working, I am going to just use the remove category base function and live with the shop base not being in the url.
Hi, Sorry for the delay in replying. I haven’t given up just yet as I think this will be a useful feature for other people too. It’s causing a few problems due to the way rewrites urls work in wordpress. Ill have to give it some more thought and experiment with a few things. Hopefully I’ll be able to come up with a solution that you can use.
Same problem as dwheeler1,
My menu is entirely custom and pointing to urls that were previously generated by this plugin. Now these urls don’t exist.
Had to disable this plugin, remake my entire menu.
Is there a fix?
I sent an email yesterday as well. Thank you.
Further, the ‘SEO’ tab from within Woocommerce Settings is completely non-existent.
Still broken as of yesterday, please advise of a fix or alternative.
I downgraded Woocommerce to previous version.
Problem solved
Hi,
Apologies for the late reply. Thanks for letting me know. I’m working on a fix as we speak. I’ll let you know once its done.
Dear Code Ninjas
I updated Woo Commerce to version 2.1.0 yesterday.
I am running version 1.1.1 of your Woo Commerce plugin.
Th plugin is now erroring on every page following the update of Woo Commerce. Can you please offer any advice? The error is as follows -
Warning: array_key_exists() [function.array-key-exists]: The second argument should be either an array or an object in /wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-seo/woocommerce-seo.php on line 97
Can you please get back to me ASAP since the error is also viewable on the public website.
Kind regards
Hi,
Thanks for letting me know. I’m looking into it as we speak. In the mean time, either roll back Woocommerce to its previous version, or disable the plugin and I’ll get a fix over ASAP.
Hi Code Ninjas, any news on the fix for 2.1.1?
Still working on it. A lot has changed is Woocommerce so i’m basically having to rewrite the plugin.
Hi, please allow some questions before I buy: 1. I had SEO by Yoast, but it solws down my shop so much that I switched it off. Does your plugin slow down my shop too? 2. I’m not a skilled SEO coder, what is necessary after installing?
..and another one: Does this plugin support WPML multilingual?
Hi
Apologies for the late reply. 1. As far as i know, the plugin doesn’t slow down the site at all. 2. The plugin comes with full written documentation so if you follow that, you will be able to setup the plugin easily 3. Yes it does.
I have over 3000 products.
Will the plugin take care of redirecting original pages, products and categories to their new location?
Example:
old url http://mysite.com/product-category/main-category/product-page Wiil it forward to: http://mysite.com/main-category/product-pageOr do I have to go in and do a manual redirect on every single item?
Hi, no it doesn’t. You will need to manually add a redirect. But you don’t need to add one for each URL. You can create a rule. In you .htaccess file that will cover them all.
Ooh! How does that work? I’m a code virgin -
Already bought this plugin for another site, love it!!!
Keep up the good work – I wish you great success.
What would you charge to take care of it for me
Email me and we’ll discuss it.
