Thanks for the quick feedback! I will be purchasing!
Wow, this looks to be great! I just have one MAJOR question before buying. How much PHP knowledge is required to get this up and running? I have purchased another script recently and and very angry because I need to know a lot of php to implement into my site, even though it was not clearly stated as so.
This is standalone script. You need to have mysql database information (username, database name, database password, host) and you need PHP5 hosting server. You simply need to edit dbconnect.php file ( by editing I mean add database info mentioned above) and then run install.php from your browser. Last step is to change upload directory permission to CHMOD 777 (on unix servers). After that your filemanager will be ready. You can always ask us if you’ll get stuck somewhere.
Hi… sorry if this has been asked before… Will this script allow users to upload docs with file extensions of AI, PSD ? I need this for a printing company so the clients will be uploading different types of file extensions.
Thanks
script will work with any file extension which you will add as administrator to the extension list (in admin panel)
sorry for wasting your time, I accidently left out a forward slash in my script directory in the dbconnect.php file.
seems to be ok now.
great product.
I’m glad you worked it out. Thank you for purchasing.
hi Convergine, I sent you an email as well but thought I would see if anyone else is having the same problem as me.
I installed the app just fine and it seems to work great except I get an error notification when i try to upload. It says “Error! Most likely upload directory doesn’t have writable permissions or you didn’t set it up correctly. “
I have set my /uploads to 777 . any help is greatly appreciated.
fyi, i also put an .htaccess to control the sessions and upload amounts. not sure if this would effect?
I purchased this script a few versions back and would like to get the new version. I logged into my account to downloads and it is the 1.4 version rather than 1.41. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.
Hi roodude, all you need to do is login to your codecanyon account, go to your downloads, and REdownload the files for filemanager. Then upload all files to your FTP server and run upgrade.php from the browser – you will get the latest version of the script.
That’s what I did, but the version I downloaded says it is 1.4 instead of 1.4.1. It also shows a December upload date rather than Jan. 23.
Take a look! Do they have the wrong file up there?
Everything is correct. There might be in some script pages old description with old version number, but dont get confused, I just double checked – downloaded file from codecanyon – it is the latest file available.
Hello-
I have a couple of questions. I apologized if they have been asked before.
What are the system requirements? Where are files stored? Will this work on a Windows server? Do admin have to verify new registration or do they automatically get access after they sign up? Is there verification against their email?
Great system! Hopefully it will work for us.
Thanks!
Hi WhoDo,
System Requirements are pretty simple: - php 5.X - mysql database - configured smtp with php (for mail() function, to send automatic emails) that’s pretty much it.
Files are stored by default in folder “script_directory/uploads”, admin can create new folders and assign them to users so those users uploads will be stored in assigned folders.
Yes it will work on windows server. Actually DEMO is setup on the windows server running win 2003 server with apache, php5 and mysql.
Admin have option to either automatically approve new registrations or manually approve them.
Verification is made when users is registering himself – if email exists – error message will be displayed.
Do not hesitate to contact us if you will have any other questions.
Does the installation create a 2nd database called information_schema?
- never mind – I just read up on it..
information_schema is default database, and script don’t need any other databases except the main one.
I have the wrong time for all my activity. Where can I adjust the timezone?
Time which is used in the script is your server time. You can read here http://www.electrictoolbox.com/php-change-timezone/ how to change timezone (this will help to adjust time)

Hi, I’ve got an upload problem, I have the upload folder set to 777, I think it might be something in my dbconnect.php settings so I’ve sent you a email, hope you can help – many thanks.
Hi scr33n,
Thank you for purchasing our script.
We’ve replied to you couple of minutes ago, please check your email.
Can you also make it upload directly to my dropbox instead of a ftp folder?: http://wiki.dropbox.com/DropboxAddons
Thanks in advance.
This would have to be custom developed for you, if you’re interested in getting a quote for such customization – please send us message through den page.
Hi, I just have purchased this script and It is great. Thank you. Is there a way to get the upload % in the progress bar ? maybe also the transfer rate k/s and remaining time ?
Thanking you in anticipation for your answer,
Kind regards
Hi zaki23,
Thank you for purchasing our script,
I will take a look on what can be done regarding percentage and transfer rate – please send me personal message through den page in case you will not see answer for your question in next 48 hours.
Hey, I would like to know if there’s a way to search for the uploaded files. perhaps a tagging system?
Hi DrakeMedia,
Not at this moment, not in this script version. We had planned search functionality for future versions, the only problem is that we don’t know the ETA of our scripts updates due to several big projects which we’re currently developing.
Hi, do you do custom work for your scripts?(paid, of course) Im interested in a few additional features for this script. If you post your email, we might discuss this further
Hi DrakeMedia,
Yes we do custom development work for any type of project (including our own scripts). You can contact us through the den page and we will be glad to reply to you with a quote.
1) It is my understanding the admin can post to any user or any folder, and that file would only be seen by that user. Is this correct?
Damn, I purchased the script assuming it would have the functionality of being able to do this.
Such functionality doesn’t exist in this version of script, however it can be custom developed for extra fees. If you would like to get a quote – you can contact us through Den page.
Great script.
1) It is my understanding the admin can post to any user or any folder, and that file would only be seen by that user. Is this correct?
I am not able to post as ‘admin’ to USER1 and only have USER1 see this file after they login…can you help with this?
I’m having the same problem with this.
Thanks again!
Hi norris10,
Thank you for purchasing our script,
as We replied to sequel222 – such functionality does not exist at this moment in this version of the script, however it can be custom developed for your needs, you can contact us for a quote on this matter through den page.
Great script. A few questions for you.
1) It is my understanding the admin can post to any user or any folder, and that file would only be seen by that user. Is this correct?
2) Message is not working. Goes to an absolute blank white page: /messages.php?file=12
I am not able to post as ‘admin’ to USER1 and only have USER1 see this file after they login…can you help with this?
Thanks again!
Hi sequel222,
Thank you for purchasing.
1) At this moment – only if user has option to see all files (throughout the system)
2) Can’t tell you anything, we need to see your installation of the script (with option to login into script) – send us this info through den page and we will try to help you out with this issue.
To post files to specific folder for any user assigned to this folder – we would have to custom modify this script for you – if you’re interested you can contact us for a quote.
Yep, I double checked everything. And then I did a test by changing the DB password and it gave me an error like it should. BUt when I put in all the right information, nothing comes up. Could there possibly be anything else that could be doing that?
Thanks for your prompt response as well! This has been driving me batty.

Send us an email through den page and we’ll do our best to help you out.
Here there, I just bought this script and uploaded it 3 times with these same errors.
1. The install.php page comes up completely blank, so I can’t install.
2. I also get this when I go to index.php:
Warning: mysql_fetch_assoc(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home2/wolstyco/public_html/urbancincinnati/fms/includes/functions.php on line 122
Any ideas? Thanks!
-Pete
Did you edit dbconnect.php file ? If install.php is blank – most likely you didnt setup dbconnect.php file (database connection in folder “includes”)
Just like idaryl asked. Im trying to set a defualt size and quota for my users without me having to manually edit the user each time. Thanks in advance
Hi developing,
Open user_registrations.php and go to line 47. Find in that line
‘JPG’,’1’,’1’
change it to ‘JPG,BMP,PNG,PDF,PSD’,’10’,’10’ for example
extensions must be separated by comma,
first “10” is total space quota
second “10” is filesize limit.
That’s it.
