I have a problem with my groups, they don’t see button to Update from External Source, and when I click to Update from External Source, the script creates a new movie…
What do you mean by your groups?
I create a group, and give him all permissions less super, and they didn’t see the option to Update from External Source. Do you understand?
It requires user to have super user permissions currently.

Can’t really do much for those videos/carousels as they are stored locally on their server, there’s no way to pull them in.
Ok, I understand but can you avoid them and grab the text and pictures around? Because the news is empty and I have only the title in this case. (or link to the videos/carousels) to their server?

Where do I edit the social icons located in the footer?
If by edit you mean the appearance, then you can do it via css if otherwise you’ll have to edit js as they are mostly generated with it.

There were some problems with scraped news content so we decided against sharing news for now.
suggestion: download button for movie/tv images
People can already download them with ‘save image as’.
Suggestion: option to translate the entire dashboard.

Fantastic Script; installation was flawless on shared hosting, got couple of issues:
1- configuring gmail (keep getting Connection error #111), login info sent to you, please take a look.
2- Facebook login App requires SSL (https); is there anyway around that or must I purchase a ssl certificate?

hi, I dont get it how I could put in lets say 10 000 movies/series. The only thing that happens is after a while i get “cant show page” and how do I know what page to start with so that I dont get old movies that I already have in my db ?

When scraping a large amount of movies you might get a 404 or similar error, because there might be a request limit on your hosting, you will have to experiment with ‘how much to scrape’ numbers to see what the limit is exactly. As for the offset, it depends on how much movies you scraped before and which scraper you are using, read the documentation it’s explained in more detail there.
The documentation dosent say much “Note that because the app needs to download images from imdb as they block hotlinking, scraping can take a varying amount of time depending on your internet speed and how much movies you requested to be scraped. Also, 100 movies are scraped per one request so if you enter 8 movies or 100 it will take the same amount of time.”
It dosent say how many movies / page so that I can calculate on what page to start like lets say its 10 movies / page and If i scrape 100 then the next time i need to scrape is to start at page 11 and scrape another 100. That’s kind of info I need. Since saying “Scraped 1000 titles successfully!” and the movies and series number dosent change at all. I have configured my host and done all the changes, but if I enter 4 000 movies it only adds like 100 movies. So there is something wrong here
I will reword it next update, in the meantime, if you enter for example 500 in the ‘how much’ field you should enter 501 in the ‘from what page’ the next time you scrape, note that there’s not always the same amount of movies per page so it might scrape less then you expect.
yeah, tried what you said, and choose 1 000 movies to scrape and start at page 1. and then i took another 1 000 movies to scare start from page 1001. worked. Then I entered 1 000 movies start from 2002 and then it only gave me 600. and the year is from 1980 to 2015 and the min rating is 1 and the vote is 1. This is not okej.
As I’ve said it’s not always 100 movies per page, it varies sometimes.
Hi again, I’m so sorry. I just noticed that I have 16 000 movies in my db now and It just take some time for all to get scraped. I will add this a 5 star rating. A tip that would have helped me is maybe adding to the documentation that after you press scrape it take some time for the host to scrape all. Press scape and then check back a few hours later. This is just awzume man. Thx alot for everything

also i cant use contact anymore..its says Cannot send message without a sender address..i can’t see the field “FROM” in mail.php
Similar problem will be fixed next update, should be up today. For the ‘from’ address it’s at the very bottom, should be in the format of:
