Please don’t! I bought your plugin initially so I could use the cards display for a ‘staff’ type page. If you are going to match the members directory could you please keep the current card layout as an option? Thanks.

Good to hear! The ‘staff’ type layout is a big selling point for me as I can assign members to a ‘staff’ user group, and then display the profiles on a staff page as cards. It’s a really nice feature and saves time having to create a separate page for this.

UserPro works alongside buddypress without problem. I am not sure what the question mean “works with.. ” do you mean compatible? Or do you ask if UserPro replace buddypress?
Example, buddypress add a new section : Profile Fields to users Menu. I have created a new profil field in this section called “Age”. I can’t found this field in sync existing meta field key selectbox ! (this field are not in the wp_usermeta table but in buddypress table !)

First of all, great job on the plugin.
A few versions ago we decided to use this plugin for a web project. But that had some bugs so we tried an other plugin what also had many bugs. However the amount of bugs we eventually we decided to use this plugin, because it got updated.
Unfortunately the plugin doesn’t work correct yet. We would like to know the solution to the next problems or bugs: -> Checkboxes radiobuttons and these buttons don’t interact: Edit profile, Create account (disabled) -> There are no error codes for failed login attemps. -> The login doesn’t seem to work at all (can’t login anymore). -> Updating/saving your profile is not possible
PS: This is probably the cause of the theme we’re using. This might be the cause of the libraries the theme uses. What cause a conflict between the libraries the plugin uses. Only we don’t want to change the themes it’s libraries, because we don’t know what will happen to the theme.

Hi there, It’s clearly a theme issue. The plugin works perfect on any “properly” coded theme and plugins. So can I ask you to create a support ticket and give me its number to check the issue for you? (I will need FTP/WP to debug the issue) and I am sure I can fix it for you

Just tried the frontend publisher. It does work great.
Having the edit direct back to the frontend editor will be another great feature. You are doing a wonderful job on this plugin. You are doing all the things nobody else has been willing or able to do. Thanks for providing what we need.

With regard to keywords, SEO is more directed toward “description” now. Search engines use bots to determine the value of the “content” of your site toward user enjoyment and relevancy to what people are searching for. That’s why “longtail” descriptions (or key phrases) are now what people suggest using for SEO. WordPress has gone to tags, not keywords for internal site searches, so “keywords” aren’t that important.
Adding tag support (consistent with WordPress) and maybe a description box or excerpt for search engines would be a better approach. That’s just my opinion based on what I have read. Who knows what Google is going to do tomorrow.

Things needed:
1.Feature Image Support (with live image preview and remove button)
2.Front end handling of post(stuff like editing,deleting, etc…)
3. Automatic redirect to post (most people will want to see their post anyway)
4. Preview Post button(opens a light box or something of that nature)
5. Keyword support
Just the basics
1) This is on top priority.
2) Something to consider after getting the most priority updates.
3) The post is in “Review” and is not published automatically. That’s why there’s no redirect to post.

It won’t OVERRIDE YOUR SETTINGS, but if you modified css file, or templates in core plugin they will be replaced if you didn’t back up.
Solution?
Use the templating way to edit your css/skins/templates. example:
Create /userpro/ folder at your theme folder
now to edit login.php template for example, keep the customized version in login.php in your theme/userpro/ folder rather than /plugins/userpro/templates/ folder got it?
For skins, similar. do in your theme folder userpro/skins/default/style.css (with modified styles, css)
This way you AVOID editing css/templates in CORE plugin and keep updates without an issue.

i don’t know if it’s a problem or mistake by me BUT here is it:
on a post page i used this code to show user who write this post information

after that it gave me login

IF user NOT logged in will show the login dialog thats the problem

You should use [userpro template=view user=author] this way, the profile of author will be VIEWABLE to guests. but using [userpro template=view] will SHOW LOGGED IN USER profile (not author) so I think you mixed shortcodes there?

Using [userpro template=view] Means show CURRENT user profile, so since user is not logged in, it will simply ask him to login to view his profile. If you need to show posts by author in AUTHOR specific profile, you need to change the shortcode to [userpro template=view user=author] Does it make sense?

I just tested the above code and it showed the AUTHOR profile EVEN when I am logged out. So it works as expected. Are you sure you’re using it inside the LOOP? I am guessing that the author_username is showing empty or not used in loop where the author has been identified.

I noticed one thing from the screenshot! It says login to view this user profile (NOT login to view your profile) because you disabled guests to view profiles in your backend! That’s why it does not SHOW THE author profile because you DENIED the public view of profiles to guests! ~hows that’s a bug?
great it worked fine when i allowed guests to view profiles here is a suggest
with short codes why don’t u add a field to make it something like this
[userpro template=card public=true user='.$author_username.']
this will solve a lot like i don’t want guests to view profiles BUT i want to show this user profile on post page

1 star for this plugin. CSS is broken on some theme. When you send a support mail, the author answer you: “it’s a probleme with your theme” and nothing more. Not any support at all.
