Just so people notice, be carefull since with this module you cannot add multiple makes which means if you have for example a store with car spare parts you cannot assige a product to 2 makes (ex VW and Scoda)
Also i requested for this to be added from bigboss and ofcourse i was willing to pay for it.
After two days of lies and delays i bought another extension that does this and works really great.
So carefull, you have not any support even if you pay for it, and there is another better extension for this on the web already.
Really dissapointed (i have all the chat logs) if anyone has a doupt.

@bigboss555: does this module have import/export function? We are moving our products from magento to opencart and it’ll be great if i won’t have to edit each product and enter values for the make, model and year.

This is truly an amazing mod, works damn well i think, bigboss responded quickly and even expanded on the already great product 5 out of 5 stars from me
After purchasing the module i notice that only one make can be selected per product. My items fit more than one make, If it can’t do that I can’t use this product.

One part fits different cars, how is that ok for me? I would have to make a new product for every make that it fits, instead of saving time with this module it’s going to be more work to use it.

Dear sir sorry for delay listen this is one make and multiple model and multiple year i think you need to read my doc file carefully and where you want to remove year this is confuse if you want to remove from module then go to model and fine custom_search.tpl file and remove it but this is make model and year module so if you can manage it then fine and i will prefer you if you need customize my module then please contact with me devsolver@gmail.com thanks sir…

One more question. I tried some tests with your filter and looks like it works not as FILTER but as SEARCH module. For example, I go to one of my categories which has products for different models and than I try to filter products in this category via your filter to see products for only one model inside THIS CATEGORY, but filter show me products for chosen model from ALL CATEGORIES. Let me know how can I fix it, I need correct filter module. You sale it as VEHICLE FILTER MODULE (not as vehicle search module). Thanks

Yes, but there’re some limitations for testing in your demo (no permissions for products and categories). How could I test car model filter with notebooks?

Your support is missing. I feel sorry because I bought this module from you. I understand to ask me to hire you if I want major changes like 4th point in my last comment (I asked to make module work without hit search button), I understand to ask me to hire you if I want to help me to make it work… your module with my import/export module, I try to understand you when ask me to hire you because I want a new field “engine” in this module; but I can’t understand you when ask me to hire you to tell me how to make “year” field optional (not a must when I hit search and the year is not inserted).
Maybe, if I have bought the module from someone else I have received more support. I’ll never buy from you again. I’ll check to see if I can give you negative!

Hi! Thanks for this module! I have few questions: 1. I use an import/export module (http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route=extension/extension/info&extension_id=17). I inserted 3 products and assigned to: Make “AUDI” / Model “A6” / Year “2010”. After that I export the database to my PC (.xlsx format) and I have no column with Make or Model or Year. It is possible for me, to add this columns? 2. It is possible “Year” to be optional? If someone pick Make:AUDI and Model:A6 and hit search to see all the products assigned to AUDI A6. Not to be necessary to pick “Year” too; only if he wants. 3. Can I add a new field “engine”? I think those are not so complicated. The 4th question I think it’s a little bit difficult to do.
4. When someone pick “Make:AUDI”, without hit search, the application to display all the categories where are products for Audi, after that, when he pick “Model:A6” to see all the products for AUDI A6.

I just bought your custom vehicle search OpenCart extension. However, I can’t get it working.
I’ve installed VQMod, uploaded the custom search files to the right folders, set the permission, but when I enable it on for example my homempage, I will get a white blank empty page.
I am running OpenCart 1.5.6. on a custom theme: Journal.
I hope you can help me out and get your extension working.

After installing, I currently cannot see the “Add Make” and “Add Model” within the Catalog drop down. Can you tell me what to do to see them please? I also cannot see the link to product options within the product editing section.
