Hi! , I got this script not too long ago, it works great, but the import module does not seem to process any other string then simple city. it’ll process “New York” or “New York, New York” but not a validated address such as “Sip Avenue, Jersey City, NJ”, “310 Sip Ave, Jersey City, NJ 07306” or “310 Sip Ave, Jersey City, NJ”. I can’t locate where the problem is coming from as google maps api validates it.

Hi there, thanks for the great feedback. As for the import script, you have to tweak the script in order to make it work better (string handling / add timer for batch import cause google only accept few addresses to be geocoded at one time), I have just provided a simple guide on how you can import data. You might have replaced the frontend config file with the backend one. They’re both different and needs to be setup separately.

Is there a way to display all of the stores in your database next to the map instead of those within your preset radius?
Also, I’ve tried the steps in your FAQ page for setting miles as the default, but the KM button is still there and highlighted. When I click the Miles button, the distance changes, which makes me think that miles is not set to default. Do I just need to remove the KM/Miles button entirely? Please advise.

Hi, i will buy this script, but i have a question. i want to display ads in my site based on the ip (city level) of the user, is it possible through bit of coding? How easy is it? easy, medium or difficult? What should be the variable in your script that i should use for cross check?
PS: just so you know, i just want to strip the ip checking functionality of this script. My site is totally unrelated to the niche of this plugin. Its just a normal site.

Is there any way to limit the number of stores that show after inserting a zip code
It is for a sandwich delivery company and they want to just have the closest store appear so users are always ordering from the store nearest to them.

Hi my hosting package was exchanged to another server during a refit and I’ve re installe dthe supplier finder – have set the config details and can connect fine to admin but nothings coming back under the actual front end for index.php or newstore.php
Try to edit /includes/config.inc.php . You have the admin config file setup right.

yeah thanks for that but I’ve literally added the correcy url and the db connections nothing else. its very strange – I will extract the original zip file just in case but theres nothing even in the source html to suggest its even begun to render the html

ok thanks for that – temporarily while I was about to upload the original zip file for testing I moved the files into a subfolder and changed the reference to it in the configs and its working.
it didnt seem to like being in the main root for the finder – but the admin in the subfolder worked.

from the beginning I don’t have any idea how to use and work with SQL so i can’t run it. is their simplest way or at least you can guide me where i can open or create the SQL. I am almost done designing the website for one of my client and i really like this super store finder and i decide to add this to that website.
Try install phpmyadmin and import the database structure as in user guide. Then link the app to the database via the config files.
Now i am done with the database, and right now i am with the configuration, till now i didn’t get what is “Next, you need to set permission 777 (with recursive) for the following folders:” on the user guide. i am stack every time i run the page getting this error: Warning: include_once(C:/xampp/htdocs/superstorefinder/admin/includes/library.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in C:\xampp\htdocs\phptest\superstorefinder\admin\includes\config.inc.php on line 25 …etc
you might set the wrong path in the config file that’s why it couldnt find the file admin/library.php

You have to check with your hosting provider on the database host.
How can I make the measurements in Miles Only? I do not need KM.
You have to remove the miles button manually from index.php and also please refer to FAQ section on how to set Miles as default metric.

Just one question: I imported 1300 address via phpMyAdmin, cause I got a file which didn’t match your import file. All went fine, but only the longitude/latitude is a fraction off the spot.
Is it possible to have these data set right in one single move?

Sorry….code noob here….what do you mean by ” Run the SQL below to create the tables structure and sample data for a database called store_finder. A sample admin user is created as below. ”? I uploaded all the files to a subfolder LOCATOR and updated the config.inc.php page….Obviously the first part is very critical.
You should create database using web control panel and then use phpMyAdmin to import the database table structures in. Consult your hosting provider for more info.
