Hi there, is there a update-safe way to change the e-mail address (email@example.com) to something else (let’s say firstname.lastname@example.org)?
Thank you for your inquiry, can you elaborate further which part of the email that you’re planning to change? Preferably with link to screenshot image so we can have a closer look, thanks.
What I mean is the from field, as you can see on the printscreen, circled in red: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ss582hearh9enez/mail.png?dl=0
Ideal would be if every part of the text could be changed, but the from field (and actually also the subject field) are the most important.
Thanks for the screenshot, the email value can be either from the contact form email field or the email set in includes/config.inc.php search for keyword below:
and change the email address, i.e
I tried to find the function and includes folder. Since I couldn’t find it, I also downloaded the full install of the website to my computer and did a search trough all the files with Textwrangler. No results… where can I find it?
Maybe you can provide the URL, admin access and temporary ftp access via the contact form here https://codecanyon.net/user/highwarden so our technical team can have a look.
cannot get stores to display on map, they seem to be OK in the backend, here is my URL – http://websitemode.com/projects/storefinder/index.php
Thank you for your inquiry, ensure that the stores are within the searched location radius, you can change the radius as this knowledge base article here
If you wish our technical team to have look, you can send your store locator admin access via the contact form here https://codecanyon.net/user/highwarden
Hi: Do you have a location review/rating option for this PHP script? I see the Wordpress add-on for ratings. Also, is there any option for users to flag/notify locations to admin attention for wrong info, request to update location, abuse, etc? (That would be a great add-on if not). Finally, does each location have a unique URL (page) that can be indexed by Google, Bing, etc? Thanks!
Thank you for your inquiry, the review/rating add-on is not available for standalone PHP version yet. The flag and unique URL for each location is not available in the built in application, but you can request this as customization request which can be requested via the contact form here https://codecanyon.net/user/highwarden
I just purchased. Wondering what’s the diff between superstorefinder.zip vs superstorefinder_responsive.zip? I’m guessing all things equal, _responsive is the desired option for screen size compatibility. Why is a non-responsive version even offered? Just curious. Thanks
I installed a /demo1 and /demo2 for superstorefinder vs superstorefinder_responsive. I see now. Still tinkering with it to see any minor differences. Looks like all same functionality is there.
Thank you for your purchase, the non-responsive one is as per demo site here and the responsive one is as per demo site here. Some clients are still using the non-responsive version, we’re planning to integrate them together in the near future
Suggestion: Request Add Store > The address field search is pretty awesome! It seems to find locations either with a physical address or the name of the business and city/state. That’s sweet. Just one thing, the marker location/map only gets updated once user clicks to the next field. How about adding a “update location” button to the right of the address field? This makes is a little more intuitive for the user and greatly increases chances of accurate/desired location being submitted. I guess it would not be too hard to add this code. Thanks
Thank you for your feedback and suggestion, for new features, you can suggest it in our forums here http://superstorefinder.net/support/forums/forum/features-wishlist/ so our devs will have a closer look.
Ok, thanks. will do.
Testing out the storefinder_responsive script. Am unable to logon to /admin, I get error: “Invalid authentication details” on the page after trying to logon with valid admin username/password credentials. I’ve looked at the db via phpmyadmin, tried altering values for user/md5 pass, experimenting…but nothing works thus far. I did a test with the normal (non responsive) storefinder script on the same host/server and was able to logon to admin with no problem. Any ideas what’s different in the _responsive script version that could be causing this problem, not being able to logon to /admin? Thanks!
Try to reinstall the script by running install.php you should be able to reset your password there. If the issue still persist, you can share your server details (url, ftp acccess, db info such as host, db name, username and password) via the contact form here https://codecanyon.net/user/highwarden and we can get our technical team to have a look.
Ok, thanks. I did already try reinstalling the script. No luck there. If it helps at all, after running the /install.php… I do get a message on the next screen after install saying, “No database selected”. Even though, I’m able to view the site no problem after this. Just, can’t logon to /admin.
If your getting no database selected message, it could be that you’re hosting does not support the latest version. You can request the older version via the contact form here https://codecanyon.net/user/highwarden
What are the hosting/server requirements for the newest version? Thanks, I’ll request previous version using the link you gave and see if that works.
PHP 5 should work fine and mysqli_connect library installed and configured. You can try the older version first and test which supports PHP 4 and using mysql_connect library
Default map setting is in the middle of the USA (, United States) not sure what the , is doing there. How do we make the USA region the default view? How do we show all markers/locations in the zoomed out USA view? I’ll prob get the cluster add-on before long. Thanks!
If it’s showing , United States in the search field, you may need to to update the geo location database, more info available here https://superstorefinder.net/support/knowledgebase/geo-location-not-showing-city-geo-ip-file-out-dated/
For standard version, you may need to modify the radius settings to show the entire store in the USA, more info available here https://superstorefinder.net/support/knowledgebase/how-do-i-add-or-customize-the-radius-radio-button-in-responsive-version/
Also, if you wish to show all stores in the USA, best to use Mega Locator theme as it as the settings to show all stores in the admin settings page. (Default Map Type – Show All Stores) which you can test it here https://superstorefinder/megalocator/
How do we set default map view to the user’s closest location? Or, how to we set default map view to the united states? If is possible to display all location markers as we zoom out and scroll over the USA/World map?
To show the stores based on user’s closest location, you can use the exact geo location add-on https://codecanyon.net/item/super-store-finder-exact-geo-location-addon/5706319 however take note that your server will require HTTPS as recent Google Maps API updates, more info available here https://superstorefinder.net/support/knowledgebase/geo-location-not-working-in-chrome/
Only the mega locator theme has the options to show all stores upon load in the admin settings page. (Default Map Type – Show All Stores) which you can test it here https://superstorefinder/megalocator/
Have you guys tried using the responsive theme on a phone or tablet? It looks really great, but unfortunately the location icons are practically impossible to click onto for info. It seems like the Google map with location icons needs some more work to get the touch interface right.
Thank you for your inquiry, if you wish to have full mobile responsive experience, you can try Mega Locator theme here https://codecanyon.net/item/mega-locator-theme-super-store-finder/11099221
Noticed a bug on the responsive theme. I am using previous version so maybe it’s that. Using a phone or tablet, if you pinch and zoom with two fingers on the Google map, it causes the phone/tablet keyboard to pop up. Annoying. Pinch zoom out, pinch zoom in….keyboard pops up. Kinda ruins an otherwise great experience.
Thank you for your inquiry, best to test the demo site first to test it’s full functionality. If you wish to have full mobile responsive experience, you can try Mega Locator theme here https://codecanyon.net/item/mega-locator-theme-super-store-finder/11099221
I set default zoom view to the United States. How to I show all of the map markers on the map all at same time in the default view of the United States? How do I do this either with, or without, the cluster add-on that I am using?
Alternatively, you can use Mega Locator theme which has the option to show all stores by default upon load at admin settings page
You can refer to this knowledge base article on how to edit the radius for responsive version https://superstorefinder.net/support/knowledgebase/how-do-i-add-or-customize-the-radius-radio-button-in-responsive-version/
