I would like to add free shipping for individual/select products only. The other products are a flat rate. Can this plugin allow me to define free shipping for individual/select products only?
It can allow for free shipping to particular shipping classes. If you were to assign a special class to the free products and then check the exclude box on the settings page, it would essentially list free shipping for those items.
The Cart Based Shipping works great for our cart subtotal pricing structure. But, I need it to then not include shipping costs on certain free shipping products. How do I go about setting that up? Thank you!
I need to get out a new sub-version of this to include a handling fee, I can add an exclusion feature as well if you think that would help. I have something similar to this on my table-rate plugin and I can definitely implement it on this one as well.
Being able to exclude certain items from the overall totals that produce shipping costs in Cart Based Shipping would be awesome. Just think of all those downloadable products that have no need for shipping. If you’re saying the plugin currently cannot do that, how soon until it can? We’re going to be going live soon. Thanks!
I didn’t think it accounted for downloadable products but I could be wrong. I had assumed this was something that the WooCommerce system took care of before passing items to the shipping method. None the less, sometimes sellers just like to offer free shipping on certain products so I will definitely be adding it. Most of the work is already completed but I would like to update the documentation before submitting it so I would say a couple days to be safe. It sometimes takes a day just to be approved by the Envato staff.
Cool! Any ETA on a release date for the free shipping feature? We’d like to go live shortly and some products have to be free shipping. Thank you for all your excellent work!
The new version has already been released. You should be able to download the new version from your account and replace the existing folder. Please let me know if you have any trouble but so far all seems to be working great.
Wonderful! Works so well. Thank you!
Works for WooCommerce 2.0.x?
Yes it does.
Hi, i am looking for plugin that calculate shipping product only to different cities for example up to 8 pieces of product to city X the shipping cost is A and to city Y is B. Instead of Country, I am looking for cities Can this plugin function like that? Does this plugin include the shopping cart functionality or only the shipping cost calculation?
rgds, Joie
I do have a plugin that can calculate based on city details you provide but this one cannot. Please take a look at my Table Rate Shipping plugin. Both of these are simply extensions for WooCommerce so they only calculate the shipping costs but WooCommerce is a free shopping cart plugin for WordPress.
Regarding posts from Jarod (jruez)
To get over the repeated ‘Shipping’ label and to get ‘Free Shipping’ (in my case based on number of items) I used an elipsis (…) for the ‘Method Title’ and also enabled ‘Free Shipping’ with the Method Title “Free on 3 or more!”. The result: on items numbering less than 3 ”...: £5.00” is displayed and over 3 items, a selection box displays the above message.
Oh by the way – excellent plugin Erica – many thanks !
thanks
I’m glad it was able to help your shop
Fantastic plugin! Thank you – I saw from the screenshots that it did what i wanted above.
Thanks, I’m glad it worked well for you!
Can your plugin do as follows:
1-4 items: 10.00 4-8 items: 16.00 8-12 items: 20.00 Over 12 items @ 25.00 flat rate
add 15 for speed service on any of these selections
I know you’ve already figured this out, but for anyone else reading this, yes it can
Great item! My client is so thrilled that she has asked me if I can add a handling charge. I know it’s not a current option. I was thinking about hacking the code to add it. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Hmm, I’m actually not sure why you can’t, thanks for pointing this out. It’s a simple solution I can add, and I’m working on a new version for the near future so I will definitely add this in.
Do the job perfectly! Thanks a lot!
awesome! I’m glad it works well for you
Hi – Your plugin FAILED installation. It does not install. Can I get a refund? thanks
It installs just fine. Have you read the instructions to ensure you are installing it correctly? You fill find them in the zip file you downloaded from the CodeCanyon website.
Hello, I need the following setup: On orders less than $60.00 a shipping charge of $8.00 is applied On orders over $60.00 shipping is free
Do I need this plugin or your Table Rate plugin to achieve this? Or can I do this with either plugin?
This plugin should be fine for the scenario you mentioned above. The biggest advantage the Table Rate plugin would have in this case is that it change the price depending on the location. So if you ship internationally, it would help to increase the costs a little more for those countries.
Thanks for the fast reply. I will grab the Table Rate version then.
Hi there,
I was wondering if your plugin is 1.6.6 compatible as well before i buy it.
Thanks in advance, Andre
Yes, this plugin works with all versions of WooCommerce, 1.4 and higher.
I have inventory that says: • 1 bag ships at $4.95 • 2-5 bags ships at $6.00 • 6-10 bags ships at $8.95 ect….
Can this product help me with this function?
Yes, this plugin can definitely work for the scenario you illustrated above. If you need to include any further information, such as price changes per country, I also have a Table Rate plugin that you may want to look at before deciding. It has more options if you need a more complex shipping method.
What’s the difference between this plugin and your other plugin “WooCommerce Table Rate Shipping plugin”
All I need to do is set a shipping price for orders less than £X, between £X and £XX and orders over £XXX.
Can both plugins do the same + shipping cost for specific countries like Ireland?
Thanks
This plugin can only support one set of rule. The table rate lets you set rules for different countries. If you’re only shipping to one country, this should work well for you. If you are an international shipper with different rates depending on the country, then the table rate would be a better option.
The second big difference is that it supports multiple shipping prices. For example, you can set a Ground price and an Expedited price for customers to choose from. The cart based shipping will only select a single rate.
I hope this helps!
Thank you for the response, I have purchased the table rate plugin and managed to set it all up within a couple of minutes! Works great
thanks, I’m glad it will work well for you!
Plugin does exactly what I wanted, except different rates per country… Other then that.. It’s great!
One question… I want to change the styling of the font and font weight on the front end.. Where do I do that?
thanks,
Your theme handles all of the styling. Depending on your theme you can set these in your theme settings page, or a custom stylesheet in your theme’s directory.
Hi, I just purchased this plugin. I’ve activated it, however it isn’t showing up in the shipping tab in WooCommerce. I’ve disabled another shipping extension that I had used previously.
I’m using a WP mulit-site environment. Is this plugin compatible with multi-site?
Thanks, m
I use this plugin on a multi-site platform so I know it will work. I have not tested the ‘Network Activate’ button though. Is this how you activated it? You may want to try deactivating it for the network, and then activate the plugin individually for each site you will be using it on.
Gotcha. I didn’t use the “network activate” button, because i thought it could potentially cause an issue.
OK, thank you for ruling out the multi-site. There must be a conflict with the prior shipping extension. I’ll look into it further. Thanks for getting back to me. I really appreciate it.
Hi there,
Now the latest Woocommerce version is 2.0 Do you think your plugin will work with the latest one?
Best, Y
Yes, I’ve upgraded to WooCommerce 2.0 myself and everything still functions as it should.
Hi, I’d like to set up free shipping for US customers and product total based shipping like Ninja needed for international customers. Is this achievable with your plugin? Thank you very much in advance!
I believe it’s possible if you use the built in Free Shipping method that comes with WooCommerce. This plugin applies the same rules for all countries listed on the plugin settings page. I also have a table rate shipping plugin coming out soon that lets you set different rules for different countries. My testers found some bugs but once those are cleared up I will release it on Envato.
Hello I have been working on my eCommerce site and have a problem with the shipping. I want to charge per order, if the subtotal is an amount then I want to charge a particular shipping fee. Here is what I want to do.
Product Total Total Shipping Charges Under $50.00 $9.95 $50.01 – $75.00 $14.95 $75.01 – $100.00 $24.95 $100.01 & over 10% of Item Subtotal
Will I be able to achieve this with this plugin?
I’m sorry to say no, not the last portion at least. I can certainly consider adding it soon however. Let me get back to you when I have a working version with the option to do $ or %. Thanks for the idea!
Hello again. If you are still interested, I made a modification to this plugin to include the ability to set a fixed price or a percentage as the shipping cost. I’ve submitted the files to Envato and am now waiting for it to be approved and updated on the website. Shouldn’t take more than a day if you are still in need of this. Thanks!
Hi, bolderelements!
I provide 4 different methods of delivery. With the amount of order less than $ xxx for each of these methods set different shipping costs. If the amount is more than $ xxx delivery is free.
Is there a way to make the plugin showing shipping costs based on the cart subtotal price not as the only way to deliver, but as several different delivery methods with different shipping rates, all of which are calculated on the cart subtotal price? And to each of these methods, we can specify “Method Title”.
I am ready to pay for an additional customization of your plugin.
Hi makabra, thanks for posting this question! This particular plugin is a single shipping method so I’m afraid this particular purchase cannot handle multiple prices for each condition. I would be more than happy to help you with a customization, but I also want to let you know that I’m working on a table rate plugin right now that I believe may help.
I’ve been emailed similar scenarios so I decided to work on a new plugin that can handle more situations. I finally have a chunk of time available to work solely on the plugin and I’m very close to finishing. If you chose to wait, this would certainly be a more cost effective solution. I’m going to try my very best to have it in the review process before Christmas.
Please let me know if that will be okay!
