Yes, It can take backup from any server that use FTP protocol.

yes as someone else mentioned, backing up my local pc to ftp would be much more useful than backing up my sites to my local machine. i have backup servers for that.

Very good start, but my questions are:
1 – Deleted files will be deleted from the destination also? Sometimes I remove plugins form WP and want to delete from my offline backup also.
2 – Its a two way backup or just web to local?
3 – Any planning in a MySQL backup addition?
1. Files will be deleted only from local. 2. Just web to local. 3. Soon I will release an update for Mysql backup and planified backup.
