Dear developer, please check that the “Login via Google Account” feature is working correctly in your plugin.
A dangerous situation has occurred. An administrator logged into the site using their Google account. But instead of accessing their administrative profile, they were redirected to another user’s profile (most likely the profile of someone who had previously logged into the site using the same Google account). I don’t know how this is possible. This is a serious security hole.
The most likely options:
Error in the authorization logic after logging in via Google. For example, after Google Login, the user_id of the previous user remained in the session or cookie. When you logged in with a regular login, the code did not update this user_id. The session is being created incorrectly.
UPD: (This is most likely a user profile that previously logged into the site using a completely different Google account.)
Dear developer, could you please let me know if you’ll be reinstating the option to pin listings to the top by checking the “Recommended” checkbox? Or have you permanently removed this option in the new version (reworking the “Recommended” option into a sorting type)?
Previously, if we checked the “Recommended” box, cards always remained at the top of the list, regardless of the sorting type selected. This option helped monetize the project.

The latest update broke my entire directory. It changed all of the slugs – for categories, listings, etc. Incredibly frustrating to have to spend hours trying to fix everything.
And another thing that broke with the update… the shortcode that used to work for displaying individual listings no longer works and has broken multiple pages on my website – [drts-entity id=”34836” display=”summary-playgrounds”]
I know this isn’t a support forum but there doesn’t seem to be anywhere else to share bugs and other feedback without paid support.
Congratulations on the latest update with its great improvements! Regarding the booking system, do you plan to add a payment option? And if so, what’s the timeframe? This would eliminate the need for dedicated online booking plugins (rent, events…)! Thanks for your reply

Please note that this will require using Stripe as the payment gateway. We do not plan to implement this feature for other payment gateways.

We assume the menu or link you mentioned is created outside of Directories Pro. In that case, you can simply link it to the URL of the directory page.

I was referring to the error on the listings page (in the details). Here’s a link where you can reproduce the error and view the console. It’s clear there’s a logic issue: the system can’t find the ID or load other reviews that are there. I suspect this happened after updating the plugin, as you changed the path to the reviews in the new version. (Previously, the URL string contained a link to a specific listing, but now you’ve lost it.)

It’s also unclear why you included the username in the URL (it’s illogical and violates privacy policies). I suspect this could be the reason for the “Load more” button not working or another conflict.
This is a major upgrade, and there are technical reasons for each change. As mentioned, please contact support if you need assistance with the issue.
But that’s not the point. You say your demo site doesn’t have this error. It does, but you have detailed pages, and there’s no “load more” button in the reviews (you display all reviews, so you don’t see this error).

We checked and found the cause of this issue. If we select “Permalink structure – Flat” in the listing settings, the review upload button stops working.
If you select Hierarchical, reviews load correctly.

It wants “flat” to have not only a “slug” but also an “id”. If we use “flat” with a “slug” but no “id”, we get a 404 error.

By the way, I encountered a similar error in one of the newer versions of the plugin (I think it was v2.0.13) – in addition to loading reviews, the “listings” function didn’t work when we clicked “load more.” I think it’s the same error related to: Permalink structure – FLAT.
I’ve reverted to the older version for now, so I can’t confirm whether this issue is present in the latest version.
Sorry, but we’re not sure what you mean by the “listings” function.
As for the reviews issue, you can try creating a child page under your directory page with the slug set to “reviews”, then run the “Reload components” tool.
The problem isn’t with the reviews, but with the Permalink structure. It affects both the reviews and the listings. It doesn’t work because the system can’t find a link to a specific ID. So, if we choose the flat structure, it must contain a slug + id. If we only use SLUG, we get errors.
The listings page works fine. There is an issue with reviews (and taxonomies) because the permalink directory/%slug% causes a conflict with directory/reviews. There is no such conflict with the listings page. As mentioned, for now, you can create a WordPress page with the slug set to “reviews”. If you need support with the listings page on your site, please contact support.
The recommendation to “create a reviews page” didn’t solve the problem. I created a reviews page and even placed this shortcode on it, but as you can see, loading new reviews doesn’t work—so there must be something else going on. [drts-directory-view directory=”schools” type=”review_review”]

Hello Onokazu, may I make a suggestion…I noticed after adding an element under wp_shortcode, this custom field does not appear on the export form and therefore can also not be imported. This means having to manually add data for this custom field on every post. It is an important field as it is the only field that allow one to embed videos via iframe on the front-end which. Perhaps this can be sorted in future update or is the current state a deliberate default setting?...Thanks and Great Job on the plugin!

hello Onokazu, what i mean is, I went to; “Manage fields > Add Element > Wordpress Shortcode” and gave the field a name e.g field_shortcodes
It is visible when add/edit a single listing in the directory backend or front-end. However, this field is missing when I try to export and import from the same directory I created it for. Hope that helps

I am looking for a business directory plugin for my event favors website. I need a listing options for venues like wedding, kids parties, corporate etc. So their listing options are not going to be the same. Example: If a customer is looking for a wedding venue they need to be able to search criteria for wedding venues and not for kids party venues etc. But I also want wedding venue owners to be able to list their venue based on set questions that the customer will be able to find them on: eg. Bar Facilities (This is something a kids venue would not offer) Please let me know if your plugin can do this or not

Yes, that is completely possible with Directories Pro. You can create multiple directories, each with its own set of locations and categories (or other custom taxonomies), and search each directory independently. If you prefer, you can also share taxonomies across multiple directories.

Is it possible to use data stored in a directory in another directory ?
For example, if I have a Hotels directory and a Restaurants directory, can I use a field stored in hotels in the restaurant one by calling the field name, eg. by using an HTML field or an ACF one ?
If this can be done, what field should be used and what is the format that I need to use to make this work ?

We have bought multiple (5) licences for this plugin and been using it for a long while. Thank you for developing it, I really enjoy building directories with the plugin due to the flexibility it provides. I have a problem to mention though:
After the recent update I tried Recounting Posts in System – Tools (I needed to do it as some categories were not showing after two plugins merged into one), the process runs until a moment close to the end and no matter how many posts we have (a site with 100 posts and a site with almost a 1000 posts), when it’s very close to the end it gets stuck with the following error: An error of type E_ERROR was caused in line 181 of the file /home/[server-name]/www/[site-name]/wp-content/plugins/directories-pro/lib/components/Entity/SystemTool/RecountSystemTool.php. Error message: Uncaught TypeError: array_keys(): Argument #1 ($array) must be of type array, int given in /home/[server-name]/www/[site-name]wp-content/plugins/directories-pro/lib/components/Entity/SystemTool/RecountSystemTool.php:181 I also see an error on console in the browser: Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 500

The Issue: When clicking the “Report” link on a listing, the modal popup opens but remains completely blank.

I am currently utilizing the User Directory feature. While it is a great addition, I’ve noticed a significant limitation regarding organization and filtering: there is currently no native way to assign or manage hierarchical taxonomies (like Categories or Locations) specifically for Users.
The Problem: Without native taxonomy support for users, it is very difficult to create a functional frontend filter. While custom fields can be added for “Location,” they do not support hierarchical structures (Parent/Child) as effectively as a native taxonomy does. Additionally, standard WordPress billing/shipping fields are not viable for frontend directory filtering.
The Request: Could you please consider adding an option to enable/assign taxonomies (Categories, Locations, and Tags) for User Directories?
Why this would be helpful:
Filtering: Users could filter the directory by specific regions or professional categories just like they do with standard Listings.
Hierarchy: It would allow for complex location structures (e.g., State > City > Neighborhood).
Consistency: It would bring the User Directory feature to parity with the Listing Directory, making the plugin much more versatile for membership-based sites or professional marketplaces.
Currently, the lack of these options makes it difficult to scale a user-based directory. I would love to see this integrated into a future update.

Taxonomies can only be used with post types in WordPress. User directory uses WordPress user accounts, not post types so that is unfortunatley not possible.
