Someone please tell me how it works. This will automatically import, and periodically update, all metadata available on spotify about an album when user visits that album’s page.

If automation is enabled from settings page, when you search for something or visit a specific page (e.g. artist, album, track page), it will automatically import data about that item from spotify.

It’s based on where the server is located, it should work regardless of your location.
We’ll also have deezer as option instead of spotify with an update later this week.

Can’t delete a “Role” unless from phpmyadmin. Still years later no option to change/set a password for a user. Can login as that user, but no admin option to change password, so has to be done from phpmyadmin as well.

Yes, from “admin > tracks” page, you can click import button and then import a specific song by spotify ID.
1) When I grant a moderator permission to upload songs, the option doesn’t appear in the admin area menu, but they can edit the songs in the frontend settings. Why is this?
2) I’m seeing a recurring error in production related to automated update checks.
The Laravel programmer runs the following command daily:
craft update: check
This command attempts to connect to the update server, but when the HTTP request doesn’t receive a response within the time limit, the following error occurs:
cURL Error 28: Operation timed out after 30001 milliseconds with 0 bytes received
This causes the scheduled command to fail with exit code 1 and be logged as Production.ERROR.

The endpoints BeMusic depends on will still mostly be available after the changes, only some data like track/album popularity or follower count will not be available. We’re looking into replacing those with another API with next update.

With the new API changes playlists that are create by spotify are not available, but playlists created by regular users still work properly.
We’re looking into adding other providers as alternative with next update as well.

You would need to implement content encryption on the server where the content is streamed from, this is not built into BeMusic currently.
I live in the Netherlands, and when I search for artists, I see a lot of Dutch artists instead of artists from all over the world. How can I change this? Does it have to do with Spotify’s settings?

After performing the payment test via Stripe, the confirmation notification and email receipt were duplicated, but the notifications do not open the invoice.
Another bug that deserves attention is on the billing page. When clicking the invoice link (the one that shows the date), it throws an error and displays “Trying to access array offset on null (View:....”) showing the site and hosting structure.
