At the moment Droppy only provides an add-on for contacting to LDAP or Azure AD. Is this something that helps? At the moment there are no other options for connecting Droppy to another external user/customer API.

I am reaching out again to clarify the current support situation for Droppy, as the lack of feedback has become increasingly concerning.
Over the past weeks, I have submitted requests via your ticket system without receiving a response so far. In addition, I have reviewed the Droppy support board here, on Codecanyon, where the latest recent replies from your side also appear to be approximately two months old.
Given that we are preparing an active client implementation, this raises a legitimate concern on our end regarding ongoing support and responsiveness.
Before escalating this topic further, I would appreciate a clear statement from your side on the following points:
- Is Droppy currently under active support and maintenance?
- Are support tickets being processed at the moment, or is there a known backlog or pause?
I fully understand that response times can vary. However, the combination of unanswered tickets and prolonged inactivity on the Codecanyon support board makes it difficult for us to plan reliably, and at this point it has become rather frustrating.

Droppy is still actively maintained (a new update was released a little over a week ago). New features are still on my list but my current focus is on stability and security.
My apologies a response to your ticket took a little longer than usual. I’m still active on Codecanyon and replying to all comments over here. Please note that most customers contact me privately through tickets so the comment section on Codecanyon is not a correct representation of the “activeness” of Droppy.

That explanation makes perfect sense, and it’s good to hear that Droppy is actively maintained and that your current focus is on stability and security. Thanks as well for the note about Codecanyon comments versus ticket-based communication… that helps put things into perspective.
Just to clarify on my side: there was absolutely no intention to create any kind of panic or pressure. I’ve simply seen a number of other authors disappear from Codecanyon just recently, and combined with the delayed response, that made me a bit nervous in the context of an upcoming client implementation. Sorry if it came across more strongly than intended.

You mentioned that previewing images and supported video formats is available in the latest version of Droppy. However, we have not received any notification about a new version being released, and this functionality is not available on our end.
Currently, our installation is running Droppy version 2.6.7.
Could you please clarify whether a newer version has been released and why we haven’t received an update notification?

Image previewing has been available for over 2 years, video previewing was added at the begin of this year so if you’re running 2.6.7 you should have the feature available. Please note you need to enable “File preview” in your admin panel on the upload settings page.
I installed the script but it’s not working. With debug mode on, it reports missing database tables. The script didn’t create any tables automatically. I tried manually importing droppy.sql and updatev2.sql, but it still shows an error about the missing droppy_uploads table. Please advise how to fix this.

I’m sorry to hear. Make sure your database connection details are properly set in your config file and that you’ve followed the installation steps on the installation page. Please clear your database and follow the documentation installation steps again.

I think you should use this code to install completely new to test before responding to blame the customer. I waited more than 1 day and only received one answer, which made me quite disappointed. I spent money to buy the product but now I have to find the null version online to get the missing sql to use it.

Quick question
Where can I set when files in the uploads/tmp folder are deleted? Files always remain when an upload is canceled. I would like to know where to set the deletion times. Thank you.
Files that are being uploaded by users are first placed in the uploads/temp/ directory, they will stay there until the user completes uploading a files and the file completion process is finished (zipping, encrypting etc.). If a user stops their upload while uploading or leaves the website while uploading then the files are not immediately removed from the temp folder. Eventually after 12 hours the cron job will remove these files from the uploads/temp/ folder to free up space.
Now the only question is where I can adjust this value. I think 6 hours should be enough.

Previewing images and supported video formats is possible with the latest version of Droppy. PDF support is something I’m looking into, the other file formats are not on my todo list for now.

FEATURE REQUEST: Can you add the feature to be able to SEARCH uploads from the admin area? Search via certain parameters—example keyword from “Message” table, etc…
Sometimes, I need to look for a certain file that I uploaded but I have to skim through the uploaded list. If I have hundreds of files uploaded, it will be difficult to look for specific uploads. A search feature would be really useful.

Thank you for your feedback. There are currently some filtering options using the admin panel upload list, but indeed no general searching option. I’ll look into this and see if I can implement it in a future update.

Every now and then, the message “Internet_down” appears to the right of the upload interface, but then the upload works again, yet the message remains. Is there no way to remove the message once the connection is back, or to define a time period for how long it should be displayed?

I’m sorry to hear. Are you sure this happens on a non-modified version of Droppy. In my tests the message disappears once the upload resumes. Did you try the demo page and are you experiencing the same issue there? If so then may I know which browser and OS you’re using so I can test it myself?

Yes, that’s also the case with a MAC and Firefox, Google Chrome, Edge, and Safari. The message remains—the funny thing is that the upload continues after reconnecting to the Wi-Fi, but in the end it’s not on the server.
However, I watched your test and it seems to have worked 100%.

I’ve been running MariaDB 11.4 since march this year and did not experience any issues with Droppy. Also 11.4 does not include any breaking changes that should impact Droppy, so it should be safe to update.

Does your English language option have the locales set? If so then Droppy will match the locale of your browser with the Droppy locale and override the language to English.
Also please note that a language is stored in the browser after the first visit. So changing the default language in the admin panel will not immediately take effect for existing users.

In your language settings you have the “Locales” field for each language. This is probably set to something like “en-EN” for your English language. Please remove all values in the locales field to disable automatic language switching.

At the moment you can either preset a defined list of recipients or set the form open so users can enter any email. It’s not possible to have both options enabled at this time.

At the moment such feature is not planned. You’ll have to change the views/themes/modern/upload.php file and look for the email_to input. This will be replaced by a select dropdown once the predefined recipient is set, so you’ll have to make it possible to switch between a custom input a the predefined dropdown list.
