After updating the Smart School core system and the Addon Modules Bundle (latest version), a critical compatibility issue still occurs.
Error:
Undefined variable $update_write_handle
fclose(): Argument #1 ($stream) must be of type resource, null given
File: application/libraries/Auth.php (line 615)
This error affects all add-ons and is caused by a Smart School core update that is not fully compatible with the Addon Modules Bundle, even after the latest bundle update.
Please provide a compatible fix or an official core ↔️ addon version compatibility matrix.

The Online Course addon purchased individually works correctly on the same Smart School installation.

We have identified the cause of the issue.
The problem is related to the purchase code associated with our Addon Modules Bundle.
To confirm this:
We installed the Online Course addon from the bundle
We activated it using a purchase code from an individually purchased Online Course addon (another Envato account)
The addon worked correctly and the error disappeared
This confirms that the issue is purchase-code–related, not server, core version, or addon files.

For example, if you purchase the Zoom Live Class addon and face any issues, support will be provided under the Zoom Live Class addon support, not under the main Smart School support. Smart School Android App is a mobile category app and not included in the addon bundle pack. The Smart School Bundle Pack includes PHP and web-based add-ons of the same category, so it’s not possible to add another category add-on to it, so the upcoming Flutter app will also not be part of the Smart School Add-on Module Bundle Pack.

Please note that new add-ons, such as the Thermal Printer and Quick Fees Create, have been released. Additionally, a new version of Smart School will be launched in 2-3 days. Following this, we will introduce updates for all add-ons within a few days. Once all add-on updates are completed, we will also update the Smart School Addon Module Bundle Pack to include the latest versions of all add-ons, including the new ones. These processes are expected to be completed within this weekend.

So far, we haven’t seen a lot of interest in the dispensaries feature for Smart School, which is why we don’t have any plans for it at the moment. On the other hand, we’ve had many requests for the point of sale module, so we are working on it and will try to add it in upcoming updates of Smart School. However for features like dispensaries, school vaccinations, we will try to offer some options within the current modules in future updates, so you can manage your school dispensaries that way.

Honestly, it is unreasonable to pay such a high amount for support—$169.75—for a single question, inquiry, or correction for an issue that you are responsible for.
Support fees should only apply when the issue originates from my side. As for the corrections and errors caused by your application, you should take full responsibility.
Having support in this manner clearly suggests that you deliberately create issues to extend support periods. I’ve dealt with many applications for clients and have never encountered this level of monopolistic behavior except from your side—whether it’s installation, modification, or troubleshooting. Every small issue within the application requires us to return to you.
Honestly, this is a poor approach, and it will undoubtedly lead to the decline of this application unless your support and update policies towards users are changed.
You’ve experienced many similar errors in the past, so the least you could do is provide explanations and guides on how to resolve them.
Even activating the application requires returning to you if it’s uninstalled or needs to be reinstalled.

It is truly disappointing that the updates have been extremely slow. I purchased the package months ago and have not seen any updates so far, except for separate add-ons. I have also been waiting for a more modern look for the template, as one of the main comments I receive from users is that it resembles the DOS system from the past in terms of appearance. I hope you pay greater attention to the general look of the template and the site interface, which appears separately without any attractive visuals. I am very dissatisfied. Additionally, the zoom feature does not work, and although I previously contacted support about it, I received no solution until my support period ended. Furthermore, the courses page does not appear on the front end, and when you made adjustments, the registration system was changed, making it accessible to visitors. This is in addition to your responses, which take several days to get an answer. I am genuinely frustrated with this template. Honestly, if I could recover even half of the amount, I would do it.
