Hi. I need clarification on an upgrade issue.
My current app version is 7.0.0. The latest release is 20.3.0. When I attempt to update from 7.0.0 to 20.3.0 the updater fails and throws this error:
GuzzleHttp\Exception\ServerException Server error: POST https://verify.nativecode.in/update-code returned a 500 Internal Server Error response with truncated HTML output.
This looks like a backend issue on your verification endpoint rather than a local config problem. Can you confirm if older builds require a specific migration path or if the update server has a fault? I need a working method to upgrade without breaking the install.

Thank you for the details. You cannot upgrade directly from version 7.0.0 to 20.3.0. The difference between these versions is too large, and the old build does not contain the required migration files needed by the new updater.
This is why the update fails and shows the server error from our verification endpoint. It is not a local configuration issue.
To resolve this:
1. Direct upgrade from 7.0.0 to 20.3.0 is not supported.
2. The only working method is to take a full backup and perform a fresh installation.

If so, how do you expect customers to preserve production data when upgrading from older versions? Do you provide any migration script or database import guide?
I need a concrete process for restoring my data after the fresh setup because reinstalling without a proper migration path is essentially a reset. How should this be handled?
You cannot reuse your old data in this case because many core methods and database structures have changed between versions. The older database is not compatible with the new version, and attempting to connect it will cause errors in multiple modules.
A fresh installation is required, and the previous data cannot be migrated automatically due to these internal structural changes.

2. Turning Off Custom JS and Custom CSS Please confirm which side you want to disable them on. We can guide you based on your requirement.
3. Creating Your Own Store Themes You will need developer assistance to create your own store themes. Custom themes require development work.
4. Addons Included in the Extended License i) The Extended License includes all built-in addons that come with the main script. ii) Payment addons included are one-time payment gateways already listed in the script. iii) Additional premium addons such as the 2FA addon, Mobile App addon, recurring payments addon, etc., are sold separately.
5. Auto-Updater and Edited Files i) If you have edited core files and use the auto-updater, your changes will be overwritten. ii) In that case, you will need to reapply custom code manually after the update. iii) We always recommend keeping customizations separate from the core wherever possible.

Disabling Custom JS and CSS for Customers: If you disable the Advanced Settings option in the customer’s plan, the customer will not be able to add Custom CSS or Custom JS. The admin can still use these features as normal.
Creating and Editing Themes: Yes, you can create your own themes. You can edit the existing themes or add new themes through the theme folder. All themes follow the same structure and variables, so you can build your design based on the existing theme system.

• Custom CSS / Custom JS • SEO Configuration Settings • Disable Password Protection option
Would it be possible to add a function in your next update to turn on and off the custom CSS and JS as these are very dangerous. Anyone could inject code into this input.

We want to assure you that the system already cleans and filters anything added to the custom CSS and JS fields so harmful code cannot run. This means your site is protected even if someone enters incorrect or unsafe code.
However, we understand your concern. We will consider adding a simple on/off switch in a future update so you can disable these fields completely if you prefer, without needing any technical knowledge.
